Knock! Knock! Knock!
Azel who was talking to Elena was startled by a knock on the door.
"It's me, Sir."
"Come in," said Azel.
The bedroom door opened, Camellia's figure carrying a bowl of porridge entered the room. The woman looked at Azel and Elena then took a deep breath. She looks relieved for something.
While Camellia was observing the two, Elena was also looking at Camellia. The Dark Elf was slightly taken aback before muttering, "Dhampir…"
"Hmmm???" Azel tilted his head. "Is there something wrong with that?"
"No. I'm just a little surprised."
Elena shook her head lightly. The woman looked at Camellia. When they first met, she didn't realize that the girl was a Dhampir because she was too focused on Azel.
"Are you surprised that a Prince chooses a Dhampir as a servant?" Azel asked with a smile on his face.
Camellia who saw the doubt in Elena's eyes snorted coldly.
"Don't equate Master with other nobles. Master is an affectionate and tolerant person." Camellia immediately praised Azel, making the young man a bit embarrassed.
"Affectionate…" Elena muttered while looking at Azel with a complicated expression.
"despicable woman, what are you thinking? Master can't possibly do that kind of thing to you!" Camellia exclaimed. The girl looked really angry. "I'm the one who washed your body and changed your clothes. Master saved and treated you, don't be too imaginative!"
Hearing Camellia's straightforward words, Elena turned her head away. A blush appeared on her cheeks. She looks embarrassed.
Seeing Elena's expression, Camellia said again, "Even if you are a beautiful Dark Elf, Master is a good person."
After Camellia's affirmation, Elena looked amazed. The woman looked at the Dhampir servant who said sincerely and then looked at Azel. she looked at the Prince with a grateful expression.
Meanwhile, Azel who was praised by Camellia felt embarrassed. He felt that the Dhampir was too bigoted. The young man didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
'Camellia... I'm not that good, ok? I did 'slightly' take a chance. While carrying Elena back, I 'accidentally' touched several places. That's normal, okay? I am a healthy man and not a eunuch!'
Azel complained in his heart. He was really helpless, Camellia adored him too much. Sometimes the young man was confused, he is a demon, but why did the girl praise him as if he was a messenger of light.
Cough! Cough!
Pretending to cough, Azel immediately said, "Since I'm not sure about letting her go, Elena can't eat by herself. Let me feed her before the porridge gets cold."
"Hehehe... so your name is Elena," Camellia said while looking at the Dark Elf who was in handcuffs. "It seems Master 'appreciate' you."
For some reason, when Camellia pressed the word 'appreciate', Azel's hairs stood up. He looked left and right. The young man stared at the closed window, feeling confused.
'I'm a high level Demon, really get goosebumps from something so unclear?'
"You have done a lot of work, sir. Let this servant feed Elena."
'Camellia? You are my maid, right? Why do I feel there is a threat in that sentence? And what's with that stare?'
Azel felt a bit awkward. He went back to pretending to cough before saying "Alright. Thanks for your help, Camellia"
"It is an honor for this servant to be of assistance to you, sir."
Looking at the two women, Azel smiled bitterly. He immediately stood up and said goodbye, leaving with a cup of coffee in his hand.
***
After Azel left for some time, the room went silent. The two women looked at each other.
"You are jealous?" muttered Elena.
Camellia's face suddenly turned red. she glared at Elena before saying, "No way! I'm Prince Azel's servant, I'm not jealous!"
"The more you deny it...the more visible you become," Elena said in an indifferent tone.
"That's none of your business," Camellia muttered. "Get up. I'll feed you."
Elena stared at Camellia with a blank expression before letting out a long sigh. She then asked, "Do you think I can get up in this condition?"
Looking at Elena's handcuffed hands and feet, Camellia pondered. Although quite dangerous, there should be no need to handcuff her hands and feet too tight. The girl thought silently.
'Is Master that type? Type S?'
"What are you daydreaming about?"
Elena's question woke Camellia from her reverie. The girl immediately put the porridge on the table near the bed. she then helped Elena sit down and started feeding her. Without noticing, time passed and all the porridge in the bowl was gone.
"Your name is Camellia, right?" asked Elena in an indifferent tone.
"Yes." Camellia nodded.
"You weren't thinking about trying to 'be with' Prince Azazel, were you?"
Hearing that question made Camellia feel like she was splashed with cold water. The girl began to realize the reality. she is just a slave and not born in a noble family. What's more, she is a Dhampir.
Camellia never thought of getting married and becoming Azel's wife. However, she occasionally wished that she could become the concubine of the Master she loved. But, that's impossible. The Royal Family wouldn't allow the Prince to make a Dhampir his concubine, an impure blood demon.
Camellia's eyes looked gloomy. With a bitter smile on his face, she muttered, "you don't have to remind me, I'm already aware of it."
***
Back in his own room, Azel sat on a wooden chair by the window. Looking at the starry sky outside the window, the young man let out a long sigh.
'woman is absolutely terrifying!'
Azel shouted in his heart. He suddenly thought of his father, the Emperor. That person was strong and very dignified in front of the entire army and people. But that person was not selfish, still willing to accept input from his three wives.
'Could father be scared? No... no... no. Rather than fear, it's more accurate if I call it 'appreciate'.'
Thinking that, Azel nodded with a satisfied expression. Since Camellia was one of his confidants, the young man felt that he 'appreciated' the Dhampir girl quite a bit.
'That's right! there is no way I'm scared! Camellia was only level 2 and wasn't even a mid-level demon yet. I, a high level demin can't possibly be scared. Ha ha ha!'
Azel looked pleased. He then thought of Elena. A beautiful Dark Elf woman, has a good body, and a sweet voice. But what the young man remembered the most was her powerful innate talent, Frost Heart!
"Even Hellfire at the same level can be extinguished," Azel muttered.
After contemplating something, Ciel remembered an ice magic called 'Cocytus Ice'. As the name suggests, that ice magic is also a powerful demonic magic that dares to bear the name of hell. Capable of summoning ice that rivaled his black flames, that talent was not simple.
It would be better if she is willing to form a soul contract." Azel once again muttered.
Closing his eyes, the young man began to think hard. If he accepted Elena, he would become the enemy of the Blackscar family, one of the Counts under Marquis Fergus. The Fergus family alone was famous enough in the West Duchy territory, even more powerful than the other 3 Marquis.
'The Bathory family in the south... The Fergus family in the west. Not to mention, the first Empress doesn't seem to like me. Emmm... I'm not going to make the entire Empire my enemy, am I?'
'Shit! Life is tough! There are enemies in all directions. The world has gone crazy!'
