Liya looked in disbelief at the white-haired girl running towards her outside the open door.
Wei'er?
Weren't all her daughters following Luo Xi?
Was she dreaming?
Or was she never out of the dungeon, trapped in some kind of rune-induced illusion?
"Wei'er, how are you here?"
Wei'er grabbed Liya's hand, trying to pull her outside.
"Mom, no time to explain, we need to go."
She had just passed through a bunch of walls and then saw Liya coming out.
Feeling the familiar warmth and the breath of her daughter, Liya thought that if this was an illusion, being able to see Wei'er before she died would settle an unresolved regret.
"Where's Aina?"
"She's outside."
"Wait a moment."
Liya let go of Wei'er's hand and returned into the burning cabin.
The bodies had almost vanished.
Some rune light spots were still gathering inside.
Liya gave a deep bow to them.
She went back to the altar with the twisted statues.
The woman on the altar had closed her eyes and ceased breathing.
