Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Attack

The night was calm and still, but the peace was suddenly shattered by a loud explosion. Everyone was immediately awoken from their slumber as they rushed to see what had happened. In the center of the camp, there was a blinding light, and the group could hear the sound of footsteps and shouting.

"What the hell is going on?" Jericho muttered as he tried to get up, but he was still weak from his wounds.

Tenshi was already awake, and he quickly grabbed his katana and prepared for a fight. "Stay here, Jericho. I'll take care of this." He said as he made his way towards the source of the noise.

As Tenshi approached the source of the explosion, he saw a group of heavily armed soldiers storming into the camp. They were dressed in black and had masks covering their faces. They were shouting and firing their weapons, but Tenshi didn't flinch.

He stood his ground, ready for a fight, but then he heard a familiar voice call out to him.

"Tenshi! Don't move!" It was Daine, the leader of the medical assassins.

"What's going on, Daine?" Tenshi asked, still holding his katana at the ready.

"These are not our enemies. They're here to help us." Daine explained as she stepped forward, revealing that she was the one who summoned the group of soldiers.

Tenshi was stunned. He lowered his katana and looked at Daine in confusion. "What do you mean, they're here to help us?"

"I have a feeling that we're in danger, and I needed backup." Daine said as she gestured towards the soldiers. "These are the best of the best, and they've been assigned to protect us."

Tenshi was still skeptical, but he trusted Daine. He sheathed his katana and went back to Jericho's side. The medical assassins and the soldiers worked together to secure the camp, and they were able to find out what caused the explosion.

It turned out that there was a hidden bomb planted in the camp, and it was set to go off in the middle of the night. If it wasn't for Daine's quick thinking, they would have all been killed.

As the group settled down for the rest of the night, Tenshi couldn't help but think about Daine. He was impressed by her abilities, and he couldn't help but feel drawn to her. But he also reminded himself that he was dedicated to his oath as a swordsman and couldn't allow himself to be distracted.

The next morning, the group continued their journey, but they now had the added protection of the medical assassins and their team of soldiers. They didn't know what dangers lay ahead, but they were ready for anything.
