Chapter 93 - Chapter 10-11

3rd Person's POV

A day have passed and the three of them, Ash, Leaf and Koharu, arrived at Viridian City and decided to take on the route that leads them back to Pallet Town.

"So this is Kanto region." Koharu said as she gazed at the sight of the beautiful forest.

"Yeah, and you'll be more amazed when we get to Pallet, especially Professor Oak's lab." Leaf said and cheered, getting really excited to meet her pokemons again.

"What's your pokemons like?" Koharu asked.

"There are bunch of them, almost countless! I can't wait to cuddle them all!" Leaf said giggling. Koharu just sweatdropped at that.

"But you said you just started a month ago? How's that possible?" Koharu wondered.

"Every three to four days, we skip from regions to regions, getting bunch of them and train them everyday." Ash explained to her, Koharu nodded in understanding.

The three of them cherished the sight of the forest, wild Pidgeys and Spearows flying around, Rattatas and Raticate crawling through some logs, and nearby lake which they can see a family of Poliwags, Poliwhirls, and Poliwraths.

Until they went out of the forest and took a gaze at the beautiful scenery of the Pallet Town.

"Look, it's professor's lab!"Leaf said and went on running, Koharu followed, and Ash decided to walk behind them. Koharu did grew fond of Leaf already, which is pretty surprising for a shy girl.

But with that, they arrived at Professor Oak's lab, and they were greeted by a boy with a mahogany hair, the three of them wondered who he is.

"Gramps, somebody's here finding you!" The boy yelled through the lab.

"Gramps?" Leaf and Ash wondered, Koharu doesn't have a clue of what is going on.

With that, Professor Oak went out and was surprised at their arrival.

"Ah, Ash and Leaf! How good to see you here! Wait, why are you together?" Professor Oak asked.

"We bumped ourselves at Pewter City, long story short, I went with him on a journey." Leaf explained to him.

"Ah, I see, good thing Ash is there because I thought it would be dangerous for a little girl like you to go on an adventure just by yourself." Professor Oak explained.

"I am not a child!" Leaf explained, making me and Koharu laugh.

"Can you fill me in Gramps?" The mahogany haired boy questioned.

"Oh I forgot, here we have Gary, Gary, this is Ash and Leaf, and you are?" Professor asked as he looked at the Koharu.

"I'm Koharu, nice to meet you professor." Koharu greeted.

"You seem familiar." Professor Oak wondered.

"You see professor, she's actually the daughter of the Galar region professor." Ash explained.

"Ah, Sakuragi's daughter, that's why you're somewhat alike to him!" The Kanto professor exclaimed.

"Come on in, I bet you want to see your pokemons, that's why you're here." Professor Oak said and let us in to his lab.

We walked in and entered the lab's backyard, which is actually a large field filled with different species of Pokemons, Leaf was the first one to run into the field, as the pokemons caught sight of her, bunch of pokemons actually charged to her. Gary and Koharu's reactions were priceless.

"These are all her pokemon Gramps?" Gary asked in disbelief.

"Yes it is Gary." The old man replied.

"B-But..." Gary didn't even managed to say a word as he stared at Leaf cuddling with bunch of strong looking Pokemons.

"I thought they were from different trainers!" Gary managed to say.

"Where's yours Ash?" Koharu asked, and soon she got the answer as a Garchomp flew right above them and chomped Ash's head, they were worried for a second not after they heard Ash laughing, soon, another bunch of other pokemons came running and flying towards him. Gary and Koharu just stared at the party with awe and disbelief.

"Are these seriously your Pokemons?" Gary asked, still in shock and disbelief.

"Yes it is, I missed them so much!" Leaf said as she patted the head of her Braviary, which is pretty large compared to the usual Braviary.

"I...I have nothing to say." Koharu managed to say.

"That's why the coral is pretty lively, thanks to them being here, I also got plenty of research to do." Professor Oak stated.

Even Gary and Koharu spotted some pokemons that are of different colors than the usual ones, and that's what really gained there attention that much.

"Why didn't I see them when I visited this place weeks ago?" Gary asked as he stared at the gray Eevee hanging on Ash's shoulder.

The feast eventually calmed down and the other pokemons are still near to their newly arrived trainers.

"Look at all these pokemons." Gary said.

"That's what made them interesting, I was not really surprised when Ash caught these pokemons, well, except the shinies, but what surprised me is that Leaf was also in a spree of catching pokemons, and that's what made me wonder, and finally I got the answer." Professor stated and looked at the pair.

"Did you have fun watching them Koharu?" The old professor asked.

"Yes I did professor, they said they had a bunch of pokemons, but they didn't say it was this many." Koharu replied happily.

"I'm glad you liked it Koharu, but real journey starts tomorrow." Ash confirmed.

"Best wishes on your journey Ash and Leaf, as well as you Koharu." Professor Oak stated, the three of us nodded.

"I would also like to help Gramps examine and research about your pokemons if you don't mind." Gary stated.

"We don't mind at all." Leaf replied shortly.

"Well then Koharu, shall we go?" Ash asked her.

"We still don't know, but I heard a pokemon league tournament will be held in three months time, do you want to participate Ash?" Leaf asked his non biological brother.

"How about you? Do you want to join?" Ash asked back.

"I'll back down at that, if you want to join, me and Koharu will be cheering for you, right Koharu?" Leaf replied and gave Koharu a sly look

"Y-Y-Yes." Koharu stuttered as she felt her cheeks flare up. Leaf just giggled at her response.

"I guess I should give it a try, but I don't have the badges yet." Ash said.

"Wait what? You'll participate a tournament and you don't have the badges yet?" Gary asked.

"It's simple, get a recommendation from a champion, remember Lance?" Leaf asked.

"You encountered Lance?!" Gary exclaimed, Professor Oak was also intrigued.

"Uh yes, we had a battle back then and he lost." Ash just replied bluntly.

"H-H-He lost!" Gary repeated.

"That's no easy task Ash, I congratulate you in defeating him." Professor Oak greeted.

"Yeah, but it really isn't official so it's still not that really cool, but anyways, what do you mean recommendation Leaf?" Ash asked the young girl.

"I meant, get a recommendation from Lance, be a wild card for him, and there you go, you can join the league with just that Boulder Badge of yours." Leaf explained, and that made Ash smile.

"I see you can use that head of yours for some good reasons." Ash teased his non biological sister.

"Hey!" Leaf huffed in reply.

"But, okay, I'll do it, I'll join the league." Ash stated, and with that, Leaf cheered. Koharu, on the other hand, is also excited to see what will happen.

And with that, the journey still continues.

POV

Alola region is a pretty calm region, a perfect place for tourists and trainers to come and have a vacation. The place is quite lively despite having the region divided by four islands.

Different kinds of pokemons can also be found here, just like Galarian pokemons, Alolan pokemons also exist here. The tropical place is perfect for them to strive.

Pokemon leagues and gym battles don't exist here, but in fact, Kahunas are the one who represents the region, with their Z-rings and Z-crystals, they are somewhat alike to mega evolution of Kalos and Dynamax and Gigantamax of Galar.

The Pokemon School, wherein trainers learn about pokemons, is located at Melemele Island. With that, particular trainers are now training their pokemons.

"Turtonator, let out a Flamethrower!" a dark skinned naked boy yelled out.

"Lycanroc, finish this with Stone Edge!" Another blonde boy the covers half of his eye responded.

With that, the two said pokemons let out there fire and rock type move, and obviously, the Stone Edge overpowered the flames, and proceeded to hit Turtonator, the fire and dragon type pokemon took no chance to dodge and was hit by it, it soon fainted after recieving the blow.

"Turtonator is unable to battle! Which means Gladion is the winner!" The tan skinned, green haired girl, who served as their referee, announced.

Both trainers returned back their pokemons and walked to each other.

"That was a good battle there, Kiawe." Gladion commented.

"Thank you Gladion, your Lycanroc keeps getting stronger everytime I battle it." Kiawe responded.

"We train everyday together with Silvally, Umbreon and Zoroark." Gladion stated.

Later on, some other teens went up to them.

"Good battle there, Kiawe, Gladion." The tan skinned girl said.

"Thanks Mallow." Kiawe replied.

"By the way Gladion, where is Lillie?" The blue haired girl asked. A Primarina was following her behind. Her name is Lana.

"Yeah, she isn't here since this morning." The short fat boy stated, a Togedemaru is on his shoulder. His name is Sophocles.

"She's back at mansion, she should he here anytime now." Gladion replied.

With that being said, a limousine just arrived at the entrance of the school, out of the limousine came out a young blonde girl with a white straw hat on her, her signature color is all white though.

"Lillie!" The others exclaimed and ran towards her.

"Actually guys, I have something to tell you." Lillie stated. The others grew curious, except for Gladion because he already knew what was going on.

"What is it Lillie?" Lana asked.

"W-Were going to Kanto, would you like to come too?" Lillie stated, and with that, the others were shocked at the news.

"But why?"Kiawe asked out of curiosity.

"My mother was invited by Mr. Charles, the head president of the pokemon leagues, to be one of the spectators of the matches going on there." Lillie explained.

"In fact, I'll be joining the league." Gladion added.

"You'll join?!" The others exclaimed, to which Gladion nodded in response.

"We don't really want to join, but we would love to come with you, right guys?" Mallow said as she looked at the gang, the others nodded excitedly in response.

"Great! But the league won't start after three months, with that being said, we can still enjoy the beauty of Kalos.". Lillie stated.

"Mom had also some errands to do with the Kanto's professor." Gladion added.

"The famous Professor Oak!" Lana exclaimed excitedly.

"That's right, apparently, my mother discovered something unusual at Professor Oak's place, my mom's gonna check out the place, especially his coral, that's what she said." Lillie explained, that picked out their interest.

"We know that it's a place for pokemons from trainers, but my mom is uneasy at the place, and she wants to check it out." Gladion added. They were speechless for awhile, and Lillie decided to cut it off.

"Anyways, would you like to pack now?" Lillie asked the gang.

"We're leaving tomorrow."

"Already?!" And with that, the gang jolted off to get there packs ready.

"That was awkward." Gladion said.

"Yeah, but I'm also curious about the pokemons in Professor Oak's lab, I also want to be a pokemon professor just like everybody else." Lillie stated.

"Coming that from you sounds weird, but I do love to check out your works someday." Gladion replied at her sister, Lillie gave him a big smile and proceeded to their limousine, in order to also pack their things up.

'I wonder what's going to happen in that three months time' Lillie thought.

Ash's POV

We arrived at the Viridian City's pokemon center, and there, we contacted Lance and attempted to do Leaf's suggestion.

"Hi Mr. Lance, nice for you to pick up the call!" Leaf beamed through the monitor.

"If it isn't Ash and Leaf, the mysterious pair of siblings, what do I owe in this call?" Lance replied, his Dragonite is flying in the background.

"We have heard about a pokemon league coming in three months time, and Ash here still only got his Boulder Badge from Brock." Leaf replied.

"What?! You defeated me with you just owning one badge?! That's blasphemy!" Lance exclaimed through the microphone, for him to believe, I showed him my badge case only containing the said badge, and nothing else.

"Unbelievable!" Lance still was in state of shock, but soon calmed down.

"But three months is still pretty long for you to collect your badges." Lance wondered.

"That's the problem, Mr. Lance, you see, were skipping from regions to regions, and with that, we have no time to collect badges." Leaf replied.

"So you're saying is..." Lance trailed off.

"Yes Mr. Lance, I want you to become Ash your wild card." Leaf finished. Lance was quite for awhile.

"You see, this is my first time having a trainer be my wild card, very well, but in one condition." Lance stated.

"Anything, Mr. Lance!" I excitedly responded.

"It's really simple though, win the league, challenge me again in an official match." Lance replied.

The took us surprised for awhile, even Koharu, who is just watching us all the time. Leaf grinned and looked at me, I smiled at Lance.

"Certainly." I replied.

"Your word is duly noted, very well, I'll be contacting Charles later, and with that, I'm gonna send a letter to you containing my signature, recieve it through my Dragonite, he'll find you." Lance stated.

"Thank you very much Mr. Lance!" Me and Leaf exclaimed.

"Considering the fact that you defeated me in an unofficial match, you'll just do fine in the league, but also remember that other champions from different regions might also have their wild cards." Lance explained.

"I understand Mr. Lance." I replied to him.

"With that being said, I'll cut off the call for now, let's just meet at the league time." Lance stated, I nodded and the call was cut off.

"You heard that Leaf? Koharu?" I'll be Lance's wild card!" I exclaimed excitedly through the pokemon center, thank goodness no one is around early this morning.

"We'll be rooting for you Ash!" Leaf also cheered, Koharu nodded happily.

With that being said, the three of us headed out and planned our next destination.
