Chapter 95 - 95 Rain

When we woke up in the morning, Sarina groaned from a hangover. Do instead of going hiking, we got room service, drank lots of water, and snoozed on and off as she felt so bad.

The next day it rained.

And the next day.

And the next.

We had explored the hotel as much as we could, bought some souvenirs from the hotel shop, lots of snacks and drinks from the kiosk, and headed back up to our room. We had lots of sex too which I had no complaints about. It was getting to me though, that my perfect proposal plan was getting rained on.

We went to bed, knowing that tomorrow was our last day here because we were leaving the next, back to Zurich for one night, to leave the next morning. Sarina tried to ease my annoyance with the weather, assuring me, that she was happy just to be there with me. I held her close to me, as I prayed for a nice day tomorrow.

We awoke to sunshine, quickly got dressed and had a light breakfast before heading up the trail. I was determined to get to the spot that Greg had told me about.

"Brian! Slow down! How are you enjoying this? You're too far ahead of me and I'm getting winded!" Sarina calls to me.

Stopping I turn around and realize she's right. I shake my head at myself. I was too focused, I forgot the reason I was there.

"I'm sorry, babe. I guess the past few days had me going stir crazy and just got ahead of myself." I sigh, "I'll slow down." I grab her hand, bringing it to my lips and place a kiss on her knuckles.

She breathes heavy but gives me a smile, "Thank you. I guess I need to start working out with you and Lance. That made me realize how out of shape I am."

I scoff, "What are you talking about? I love your shape." I smirk, giving her a once over with hunger in my eyes.

She giggles, "Stop it." Pushing on my shoulder, she shakes her head, "I know you like it. I'm just saying I need to make sure I stay in shape. I don't want to let myself go because I'm comfortable or something."

"Babe...." I start and look ahead, realizing we were there at the spot. I pause and pull Sarina to face me. "I will love you, no matter what happens. I don't care if you gain or lose weight. I will still think you're beautiful."

She blushes and looks away, "Thank you, Brian. You're everything and more than I could have ever dreamed of." She raises her blushing face back to meet my eyes, and I can feel my heart pounding like a war drum in my chest. Her soft lips leave a gentle kiss on my lips before she turns back to continue the hike and then sees the waterfalls.

She drops my hand and pulls out her phone, "Oh my gosh! This looks so beautiful."

This is it.

I pull the ring and letter from my pocket and kneel behind her. My heart pounding like crazy, but my heart and mind knew there was no other woman I could ever want more than her.

"Sarina."

*Sarina's POV*

"Thank you, Brian. You're everything and more than I could have ever dreamed of."

He'll love me no matter what?

Brian is perfect, how could I not love him? I know I look like I'm related to a strawberry right now I'm so red. So I give him a sweet kiss before I turn back to the trail. My eyes widen seeing the gorgeous sight of the falls and pull out my phone to record the sight.

"Oh my gosh! This looks so beautiful." I exclaim. I hear him moving. So he's coming to see what I am.

"Sarina." I hear him call my name.

I turn, "It's beautiful isn't ...." He's down on one knee. HE'S DOWN ON ONE KNEE!

I take a step back, surprised, trying to catch my breath, my heart racing. I cover my mouth with a shaky hand that has my phone in it, as he looks at me with nothing but adoration.

"Sarina. I love you, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

He just asked me to marry him! Oh my god! Really?! Did he even have to ask me?!

"Yes." My weak shaky breath of an answer is barely audible to my own ears as I lower my hand and phone, but he heard it anyways.

He stands and takes my hand, slipping a ring on it, before pulling me into his arms and kissing me deeply. He pulls back and runs his thumb across my cheek. I feel wetness being cooled by the air around us. I'm crying.

"I love you, Brian." I wrap my arms around the back of his neck and pull him closer for another kiss. The flash of the ring catches my eye at that moment. It looks so familiar.....

Wait... "What the?" I pull back and take a closer look at the ring. My eyes look up at Brian my eyes narrowed in confusion. "How?" I can't even form a sentence.

Brian hands me a folded bit of paper, "I was told to give you this to read."

I take the note from his hand and open it.

Sarina,

Sis, please don't flip out, but yes this ring is the one you made Gigi. I saved it from the trash cause I knew you'd regret tossing it. I shouldn't have held on to it all these years like I did. I know that. However, I wanted Brian to use this ring to propose to you, so you knew how much your big brother loves you. How much Brian loves you. You can call me and beat me up later if I'm still around.

Love you sis.

I lean into Brian's shoulder, his arms wrapping around me.

"I would put that ass in a wheelchair if he wasn't already in one." I groan, "He's such an asshole, but I wouldn't trade him for anyone else to be my brother." I give Brian a soft grin before standing back a step.

"However, we are getting a different ring. I made this for my grandma and I want you to pick something out for me." I blush and realize my phone has been recording this whole time and stop the video. "That's going to be interesting to watch later..." I mumble as we hear thunder off in the distance.

*Brian POV*

We head back down to the hotel, hearing the thunder. The weather had cleared long enough for me to propose and I silently sent a thanks for listening to my prayer.

She said yes! Oh... I could shout to the mountain tops right now and let everyone know. I wrap my hands around her waist and pick her up and twirl her as we make our way down.

"Brian!" Her giggles have me spinning her again like that.

"I love you, Sarina." I tell her again, pulling her closer to me, "I could tell you a million times and ways but it still doesn't begin to tell you how happy I am right now." I lean my forehead against hers and give her another kiss. Big fat raindrops start falling down on us as the sky darkens.

We break apart and start walking faster down the trail, hand in hand. By the time we got back to the hotel, we were pretty wet, but we were not the only ones. Staff offered us towels in the lobby, requesting we stay off the carpeted areas until we wiped off the excess water. After drying off as much as we could, we went to our room and got a hot shower ready.

I caught Sarina staring at the ring, a torn look in her eyes. Happy but tinged with sadness.

"When we arrive in Zurich tomorrow, we can stop at a jewelers and purchase you something else. I know that one reminds you of a sad day." I take her hands in mine, the bathroom filling with steam from the shower.

"That would be nice. I still want you to pick it out and it be a surprise." She pulls me closer, her hands going to pull my shirt out of my pants.

I had no idea what she would like. Not for herself when it came to rings. I've never seen her wear one.

"How about this.... we'll look at them together. You tell me which ones you like and why, then I'll send you outside to make the transaction on the one I buy?" I offer.

She shakes her head, "I will do better...than that," She undoes my belt and pants, "..let's shower and I'll show you."

After a hot and teasing shower, the shower too small to adequately take her, I almost took her with out waiting. We lay naked on the bed as she showed me pictures of rings she liked and what she liked about each.
