Chapter 66 - 66 Knock

We spent the next day figuring out how to set my office up in the room previously occupied by David. We ended up storing the boxes of books in the closet until we moved my bookcases in. We then moved to her room, soon to be our room, and went through her closet to make space for my clothes and deciding on what to do with the furniture in my place.

We ended up going to the store for some drinks and something for the fridge for breakfast, before heading back to the house with Chinese take out for dinner. We're sitting in her living room, watching a show, while eating chow mien and feeding each other dumplings and cream cheese rangoons between slurping up noodles. Sarina just stuck a dumpling in my mouth after smacking me with the previous one when it slipped out of her chopsticks, when her door bell rings.

Sarina goes to get up, but I wave my hand, "I'll get it, you practice holding onto the food." I laugh as she sticks her tongue out at me. I walk to the front door and see the silhouette of a man on the other side of the glass. I open the door and greet the man.

"Hello, how can I help you?"

He's a decent looking guy, dressed well, but the analyzing look he gives me, like he's judging me, rubs me wrong.

"Is Rina or David here?" He asks, looking over my shoulder.

"And you are?" I ask him, raising a brow, but not letting him see past me.

"Tell her it's John, John Holcomb." He says his name like it should be important and I merely nod and turn to the living room.

"Hey, babe, does John Holcomb mean anything to you?"

Her eyes go wide as she jumps up and rushes to the door.

She's breathless as she clears her throat, "John! What are you doing here?" She smiles warmly as she stands next to me.

"I was in town, thought I'd stop by and say hello, but I see you're busy right now." He barely spares a glance my way as he continues, "I'm in town for the next few days, maybe we can get together and have lunch?"

"That sounds doable. Why don't I give you a call when I'm free? Your number is still the same, right?" She inquires, her hand subconsciously fiddles with the hem of her blouse.

He nods, "You know it, Rina. I look forward to your call." He winks at her making her cheeks redden and eyes widen before he turns and walks off. I walk over to the couch, not bothered by his actions and take a seat. I continue eating and watching the show as she tells him fare well before she closes and locks the front door. She comes back around and plops down on the couch and goes back to nibbling her chow mien, quietly staring off into space, lost in thought.

"Are you alright? You're suddenly quiet." I ask her, noticing that she's thinking about something.

When I get no response I pull a bit from her brothers books, "Hey, are you collecting moon dust or what?"

This snaps her from her thoughts, "I'm sorry, what?" She looks at me wide eyed and blinking, clearing her mind.

"Are you alright?" I ask her again.

She shakes her head no, "I wasn't expecting John to come visit. I'm trying to figure out why he's here."

"Who is he?"

She places the chow mien down and informs me, "He's the man that bought out my parents company from David. He's.... also a client of mine. He's ordered a few pieces from me."

The way she hesitates at the end tells me there's more that she's not telling me.

"And he knows where you live to just stop by?"

"After David's accident, when he moved in here, John came and visited him a few times. They were friends before the accident." She doesn't meet my gaze, but stares off into space remembering something.

"Okay... Why do I feel like there's more to the story here?" I ask her, setting my chow mien down. A pang of curiosity, laced with jealousy has raised within me, so now it's her turn to set my mind at ease.

She glances up to me, her cheeks flushing, "I used to have a crush on him and he knows that. When he found out I was engaged to Marc, he was not happy about it. He was there the night me and Marc argued the night we broke it off. John is the one who got Marc to leave because when I said it was over, he wanted to stand there and berate me and kept getting in my face."

"What was your brother doing at the time?" I asked curiously.

"He was passed out from pain medication that he had taken after John showed up." She rolls her eyes at the memory of her brothers actions.

"So, you're going to have lunch with him sometime this week? Do you think his intentions are business or personal?"

"His intentions? Probably both, but yes, I am going to have lunch with him." She lips purse in annoyance, "Is that a problem?" She asks, sitting back, crossing her arms.

I raise a brow, asking myself. Really? She's going to give me attitude like this?

The look on my face must make her realize her blunder before she groans and covers her face, "I'm sorry. I should not have used that tone with you." She drops her hands from her face, "Do you have a problem with me having lunch with him?" She asks in a calmer tone.

I shrug, "No, you can have lunch with him or anyone you want to. Just take notice of the way he looks and talks to you. Please, don't let him be disrespectful to you or our relationship is all I ask." I grab the fried rice and start eating again as she sits there, nodding.

"I can do that, but why would you think I would let him do that anyways?"

"You did not introduce me and when he said you were 'busy right now' he was trying to act like I was an inconvenience to you being able to spend time with him. You acted like a deer in the headlights, so there fore I can only guess on what actions I've been shown thus far. I'm not mad or upset about it. I'm just stating my observations and wishes so you are aware." I set the rice back down as she sits there in silence.

"Well, I'm full. Did you want anything more or can I put these away?" I ask her, grabbing some of the take out containers.

She pulls her knees up under her chin, "No, I don't think I can eat anymore. Thank you." She gives me a tight lipped smile as I take the containers to the kitchen. I stick them into the fridge and come back out to the living room and take my seat right next to her.

I pull her to me but she pulls back, "You're not mad right now, are you?"

I shake my head and sigh, pulling her back to me, "I'm not mad. A little disappointed maybe, but no, I'm not mad." I lay a kiss on her head, running my fingers through her hair. She looks up at me with doe like eyes and a soft frown catching the corners of her lips. Her look causes a touch of guilt to rise in me, knowing that she's sorry for disappointing me with how she reacted to John's behavior.

I kiss her forehead, then tilt her chin up. She closes her eyes and puckers up her lips and I kiss the tip of her nose. Then I start peppering her cheeks and face with kisses as she attempts to kiss me on the lips.

"Hey! Give me a kiss!" She says in mock offense as I laugh at her indignation.

"I am!"

I continue peppering her face with kisses, pressing her down on the couch as I move my kisses to her neck, which makes her giggle and then moan softly as I kiss her spot.

"Okay, you can kiss me there too." She says breathlessly, her body shivering as I kiss her spot again, letting my breath tickle her skin and lips linger.

I chuckle and nuzzle the nape of her neck, kissing up to her ear lobe and nipping it as her body arches under me. That little moan and her pressing her breasts against me has my cock twitching to life. I press my body against hers as I continue to kiss, nip and lick her skin, moving my mouth to her chest.

My free hand snakes up under her shirt to pull her bra away from her breast, before my mouth finds it's way down to her nipple. She gasps as I suck hard on it, before lapping around the areola and nipping the taut bud of her nipple.

"Oouh! Brian..." She gasps and whines as I grind my erection into her thigh, letting her know how much I liked this. How much I wanted her right now.

"Oh Brian..." She moans and I move my mouth away from her breast.

"Shall we move this to the bedroom?" I ask her.

She shakes her head and says breathlessly, "No. Do me right here."

"Yes, Ma'am."
