*Sigh*
"So what are you trying to imply by claiming that you're me?"Varian questioned.
"What I'm implying? I wasn't implying anything. You should know that everything that you have experienced I have as well."
"Oh? Then why are you here?" Varian questioned, the look on his face a curious look completely different from his usual impassive look.
"I- UGH!" Mirrored Varian suddenly winced in pain, as if the words he was going to say were forbidden and stopped by a superior entity.
"?"
Curious of what was happening Varian simply stood there and watched as the mirrored version of himself clutched his head.
A few moments after that Mirrored Varian stood up as if nothing happened with a slight golden glow in his eyes that disappeared as quickly as it came.
"Ugh, sorry about that. Anyways, just think of me being your assistant until a certain period of time. As you might have noticed, you were forcefully transported here seemingly for no reason right?"
"Uh huh."
"You might have also noticed during your fight against that guy in the forest and the fights recently that your body is really not up to snuff for this world. Your current cultivation is that of a slightly stronger mortal of this world. At this point in time what you need to focus on is to improve your body to set the basis of your future strength. It just like conditioning your body like in our previous world to learn martial arts."
"I see. Based on the novels I've read, there were a lot of people that focused on body tempering. Though I'm not sure how I should go about it, so for the time being I'll be experimenting on what I should do."
Although Varian had read multiple novels of which most of them were tocused on cultivation and such, experiencing and reading was a totally different thing. So even though he had an idea if what to do there was no definitive way for him to go about it.
His experiences so far could all be considered him going about on his skills and experiences. Had he been a normal person on Earth that was transported here without any knowledge of fighting he would have definitely died on the first day.
And even if they did manage to survive and tried to cultivate their body the amount of pain would have drowned out their will and consciousness inevitably leading to death.
"The next thing I think you should note is that your emotions and mental state affect your training and cultivation. I'm sure you've read about something called 'Qi deviation' where one's inner demons or mental health affected their cultivation causing them to go mad."
"..."
"So that leads to the question and I want you to answer honestly as it concerns our future."
*Sigh*
"How do you truly feel about Chihanna and Kara?"
Hearing the question, Varian hesitated a little. He had not truly though about his feelings towards the two women. Even though he kept forcing himself to believe he had to return to earth for them, the feelings he holds for them both couldn't be said to be anything more than a feeling of slight yearning.
Yes he misses them but at the same time he also doesn't. What he would miss though was the feeling of having someone worry about him on a daily basis.
However there comes another problem. Which is Varians slight gynophobia which factors into him usually keeping his distance and the reason he always has his gaurd up around them. Chihanna and Kara were two of the few women he didn't need to keep his gaurd up against.
"..."
"Hmm, I see. Although I knew what the answer was I decided to ask just in case. Now that we know that your emotions won't be in turmoil I can say that your okay to cultivate, however you need to start with your body first."
"...I was already planning to do that. I know how the people of this world think already based on the few interactions I've had. The father or whoever of that man I killed is most likely preparing to come here to find the suspected killer. And even without him coming here I would already be thinking of different ways to get stronger. I hate being at the mercy of other people."
Mirrored Varian stood there with wide eyes as he suddenly recalled something that made him start laughing. Something the original Varian rarely does.
""After all, the ones responsible for our training inevitably ended up being beaten half to death by us.""
At that moment, an unspoken agreement was formed between the two. One that would later cause blood - rooted fear to those that crossed them and be a blessing to those under their protect or lucky enough to earn their goodwill.
A few moments later after their moment, Mirrored Varian spoke.
"As we are now we are completely helpless, like a newborn being dropped in a jungle. So what we need now is information preferebly as much as you can gather. Don't worry about understanding it just flip through some books and I'll handle the rest."
"Similarly since you'll be focusing on body tempering for the time being read as much book related to those as possible, I'll try to create something beneficial for you to use all while continuously improving the technique along the way."
Varian gave a nod of agreement still with an impassive expression on his face.
"Once again, I am here not as a threat but as your servant, a part of your soul even though you are not aware of it yet yourself."
With a slight bow Mirrored Varian stated. then once again said:
"It's time for you to wake up."
