" Okay then..? " The pink haired curled crossed her arms, leaning on the wall " Im going to tell you the rules first before you unpack, okay foreigner? " Markus simply nodded, ignoring her comment and just trying his very best to please her brooded self. He needed to stay here to find the link to that criminal after-all " Rule number one! No touching that closet, like I said before. Rule number two! This is my house, I pay the bills so if your gonna stay you need to at-least help pay for the food, water bill, etc since my job only really pays for myself " He raised his hand but she ignored him, adding on to the list of rules " Rule number three, you yourself said you'd 'guarantee my safety' so I expect you'll keep to those words. Lastly, keep up with your hygiene, you kinda smell " His brown colored eyes looked left to right, " I'll..do that now. Is that all 'Kimmy'? " Markus snickered, she frowned slightly and just left the room for himself to adjust
The first day of living in Kimolinas apartment wasn't too bad, she had Markus go to the market with her. Nearly there, they passed a flower shop, the blooming scent was slightly comforting to Markus. Reminding him a lot of his homeland, where the roses blossomed ever so huge, and the smell of summer was always soon to come not too far away. It was the month of May, just a few days from June. The farmers market was full of people, stands with different sorts of fruit, men and women advertising clothes and other necessities. However Markus was disgusted by the dirt below their feet, familiar with better quality in his advanced society. Even if there was fields upon fields of beautiful types of flowers there. As Kimolina was picking out oranges, a scrawny man with a blue beanie, possibly in his 30's snuck behind her. His scruffy black goatee rubbed against her frizzled hair, unaware of his presence..The man slowly shifted his hand into her purse, seeing her not very up on her guard. He had gotten ahold of her wallet, counting the bills, he had planned on fleeing but just then and there Markus grabbed his wrist. The grip so tight bones felt like they were about to snap, the dragon had no idea of his strength on humans just yet. Feeling the pain run up through his arm, he yelped outloud. Markus covered his mouth grinning, getting close to the mans ear " Its been a hot minute since I have killed you bastard humans, your human nature is so selfish. " Glancing to see if Kimolina was looking, he darted his eyes back at the stranger menacingly " Shall we? My target isn't looking " Giggling, he put the wallet back into Kimolinas purse, and skipped to an alleyway doing god knows what to that 30 yr old thief. She turned around confused on where Markus had wandered off to, not really caring that much, she shrugged and payed the clerk before taking her oranges. When she turned around, Markus was there, eyes brooding upon her. He was happy, but disappointed in her being so oblivious " I had a pleasant time taking care of someone who attempted to rob you, Kimolina. You should really be more alert " The boy laughed seeing her face in utter shock " You mean I almost got my stuff stolen!!?? " Her head whipped around to check her stuff in her purse, relieved to see everything was in there..she weakly smiled to Markus, grateful of him actually taking care of her " Thanks, I really mean it. I dont know what i'd do with out my stuff " Seeing her smile at him thoughtfully had him flustered, looking away, mumbling " 𝘌𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘰 𝘱𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘭𝘢, 𝘯𝘰 𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘲𝘶𝘦 𝘺𝘰 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘢 " Repeating it to himself to ensure that was the reason to do such a thing
