The family was in the middle of a happy moment, but Amber still had doubts in the back of her mind. She promised not to give birth to a Mermaid in this world, but she also promised Blue Tang a female Mermaid to start his own Merfolk tribe on Earth. She panicked when she thought about Blue Tang on Earth. What if she accidentally summoned him back to the Beast World?
While she held her breath and hoped she would not have to start another war due to a broken promise, she saw a tiny multi-colored star hovering in front of her. She thought she was seeing things for a minute until it smiled and waved at her. She let out the breath she was holding and started to cough. She noticed the time around her was frozen and her mates were not moving. She slowly waved back at the star and asked, "What is happening? Why are they frozen? Am I losing my mind?"
The star let out a small child-like laugh and answered, "Hi Amber, you are not losing your mind. I am the Beast God System. I am here to help you keep your promise and not start another war in the Beast World. I froze time temporarily so we can talk."
Amber sighed in relief, but cautiously probed, "That's good, but how can you help me? Why didn't you appear sooner?" She wondered if this little star was the reason she was brought to the Beast World.
The star looked away guiltily like he was keeping a secret from her, but hesitantly responded "You didn't need my help before and handled things well on your own. You accomplished the goal to help bring peace to the Beast World. That is why you were chosen as the Beast God offering to the Beast World. I can help you control summoning your other mate back to this world."
Amber thought about it. She wasn't happy about being an offering to this Beast World and didn't know about the Beast God, but she was happy with her current life with her new family. She didn't want to change her life. She decided to trust this new system. It seemed to want to help her. She questioned, "How can you help me? What else can you do besides freezing time? How long are they going to stay like that?"
She looked at her mates worriedly and wondered if this was dangerous for them to be frozen in time. The star looked at her and answered her questions, " Don't worry. This is not harmful to you or them. They won't know about this when I leave time will return to normal. If you are worried about accidentally summoning your other mate or want to return to Earth for a temporary visit, you can summon me."
Amber nodded in understanding. She caught the words temporary visit and understood that she was going to spend the majority of her time in the Beast World. It was probably for the best considering she was currently pregnant. She didn't want to accidentally give birth to the beastmen eggs on Earth and not know how to raise them. Earth was not ready for Beastmen. She wasn't worried about the Mermaid because she would be underwater or on an island most of her life. Also, female Mermaids didn't change form like the Mermen. She could pass as a human if she decided to go on land and try to live a normal life.
If her daughter had blue hair, she could always say it was dyed blue. But that was a problem to worry about in the future. For now, she had to keep Blue Tang on Earth and her eggs here in the Beast World. Amber nodded and remembered something important, "How do I summon you if I need you again? What should I call you?"
The star thought for a moment. No one had ever asked it what to call it. It was the Beast God System and honestly, this was the first mission it had taken. It was a novice system and the only one of its kind it knew of. The star's first memory was a bright light and an all-knowing voice of the creator explaining its task to bring Amber to the Beast World and help her keep the peace.
It finally answered, "I don't have a name, but if you would like, you can give me a name."
Amber was excited. She never got to name a star before. She thought about it for a minute and responded, "I'll call you Rainbow Star."
Rainbow Star sparkled brightly, obviously happy with his new name. He nodded and replied "I love it, Thank you! I will make sure Blue Tang stays on Earth. Call me if you want to visit Earth for one Earth day. Bye!" He waved at Amber and blinked out of existence. Time unfroze and Amber waived at thin air.
She heard the one Earth day part and thought she should wait until after she gave birth to the eggs before visiting Blue Tang. She was relieved to know she wouldn't accidentally summon him back to the Beast World. She also finally understood how she was able to transmigrate to the Beast World. She was content in knowing she was the chosen one to bring peace to the Beast World. Her life felt like it had a bigger purpose than just having baby beastmen.
She loved being a mother but was happy to know she was making a bigger contribution to this world. Her mates noticed her waiving to nothing and looked at her quizzically. Tyler was closest to her and asked, " Are you ok? What can I get for you?"
Amber laughed lightly at their concern and thought she looked crazy just waiving at thin air. She chuckled and replied, "I'm fine, but could you get me some water please?"
Tyler was happy to complete his mate's request. He almost flew away to get her a bamboo cup of water. Amber had taught them to use bamboo instead of stone for her cups since it was lighter.
Amber drank the water and thought about what would happen in the future. Barry started to make some fruits and honey and Amber was distracted with a plate of desserts. Nick chuckled at his little foodie mate. She was easily distracted by good food. The other mates were happy to see their mate happy and content.
Amber decided to enjoy her time in this Beast World with her family. She would live her life to the fullest and enjoy each day. She had a loving family in both worlds, but this world needed her more now.
She ate her fill, washed up, and got ready for bed. Tomorrow would be a new day and she had plans to go on a family vacation. This time she didn't have to worry about a war or suddenly disappearing and not knowing when she would return. She was very happy to have met Rainbow Star.
They all arranged around Amber to keep her safe and comfortable as she slept. Today had been an eventful day, but they were happy to keep Amber safe and happy. Amber had beautiful dreams of her future life with her mates and beastmen children. She smiled in her sleep and slept peacefully contented.
