After breakfast, Nick told Amber about the new castle. "It's ready to move in today! We should move before the cold season."
Amber was so excited! She loved moving into new places. She especially loved decorating new places. She couldn't wait to plant a vegetable and herb garden.
She planned on making a greenhouse so she could grow vegetables during the winter. She would have to figure out a way to make glass. She knew it could be made from lightning and sand. That sounds dangerous. Maybe they could make a kiln or a stone oven to make clay pots.
They got ready and packed up their belongings. Amber rode on Ray in his wolf form. The rest of the beast men carried the luggage.
They passed by the Lion King and Queen to say goodbye. Clara was sad to see Amber go and made her promise to visit after the cold season. She was excited to see the new cub after he was born.
The two queens had become friends. Amber hugged Clara and promised to visit when she could. She also extended an open invitation for Clara to come to visit her at the new Cheetah castle. Nick nodded in agreement.
He would listen to his mate. She was the queen and her word was law. He would make sure to grant her wishes.
The rest followed her to the new castle. The Cheetah guards followed as well. On the way out they saw Larry. He was still bitter that Amber did not accept him as her mate.
He saw her baby bump and thought she looked even more beautiful. Her mates had taken good care of her and he was jealous. He still had his pride, so he decided to ignore them. He looked the other way with a huff as they walked past him.
Nick glares at him in a warning. Oliver kept an eye on him. Ray smirked at Larry's reaction. He may only be a beast guardian for now, but he got to carry Amber and spend time with her. He got to enjoy her cooking and being around her.
Larry's stubbornness made him miss out on an amazing female. Fred was happy Larry didn't accept Amber's offer. As a beast guardian, he already had enough competition.
He hoped that during the cold season, he would have more chances to spend with Amber.
Barry would hibernate during the cold season, and the others will have more time with Amber. Barry gave Larry a warning gaze. He knew he would hibernate soon, but Amber would have plenty of guards to keep her safe.
For now, they needed to make sure their new home was ready. They would make sure Amber was comfortable and had everything she needed.
Tyler and Tom flew over to the castle with some luggage in their claws. They wrapped the belongings in fur rugs and carried them over to set up before Amber arrived.
When Ray and the rest arrived at the new castle, Amber was in awe! She couldn't believe the beast men built a castle in a month! They didn't have any new tools. Everything was handmade.
The beast men were truly incredible! They had great strength and stamina. She noticed the design was similar to the Lion castle but different. It was built into the mountainside.
She knew there were hot springs at the top of the mountain.
She blushed when she remembered the last time she was in a natural hot tub. She thought about going to the hot springs again soon. For now, she wanted to see the inside of the castle.
Nick noticed Amber's awe in her eyes. He felt proud that she liked the castle. He asked, "What do you think? If there is anything you want just let me know."
Amber looked at him with her teary eyes. She was overwhelmed with emotion. She whispered, "I love it! It's amazing!" All of the beast men heard her. They all swelled with pride! The Cheetah beast men were especially proud to have helped build the castle.
They were all happy to have such a beautiful Queen that appreciated their hard work. They all vowed in their hearts to serve and protect her until the day they died.
Amber was blissfully unaware of their intentions. She would feel uncomfortable if she knew. For now, she just kept inspecting their new home.
Nick took her on a tour of the castle while carrying her. He didn't want her to get tired from walking around too much.
Amber was shy at first, but then she got distracted by all the new things. She especially loved the new bathroom!
Nick had carved a large room into the back of the mountain that connected to the hot spring. He carved out a large tub for Amber to take a bath in privacy. He also carved a smaller tub for her to use the toilet. The water was always flowing outside, so the water would always be fresh and clean. The runoff went into the jungle outside of the city.
Amber was so excited she almost jumped out of Nick's arms. He hugged her tightly and told her, "Be gentle with the baby. You can soak in the tub if you like while we prepare lunch."
Amber was excited to take a warm bath! She had been so nervous to take baths in front of the rest of the beast guardians. She was happy to have some privacy.
Nick watched her get into the tub with a satisfied smile on his face. Amber thanked him and he left to get lunch ready.
The rest of the beast men were getting the luggage moved and settled. Tyler went to find Amber. He saw her in the hot tub and blushed when he remembered the last time they were alone in the water. Tyler silently walked up to Amber and started to massage her shoulders. She was so relaxed that she just let out a comfortable moan.
Tyler was excited that Amber didn't reject his touch. He bent over to whisper into her ear. "Lunch is ready my Queen. Are you hungry or would you like something else?"
Amber's eyes snapped open when she realized that she was naked in the tub. Then she remembered that Tyler was her mate now and had already seen her naked. She replied, "I am a little hungry. Can you help me dry off?"
Tyler smiled and gladly helped her out of the tub. He had a clean dry fur that she helped her dry off with. Amber smiled and thanked him and she got dressed.
Tyler carried her to the dining room. They had placed the stone table and wooden chairs in the dining room and carried over the large stone pot with stew inside. The smell made Amber hungry!
She was happy to eat lunch when Nick placed a stone bowl in front of her. The meat and potatoes were cooked well with some salt and seasonings.
Amber thanked him and started to eat. That reminded her about her herb garden. Amber thought about talking to Nick after they ate.
They enjoyed the meal and the males cleaned up afterwards.
Amber told Nick, "I love the castle! Thank you! I was thinking about adding an herb garden and maybe a greenhouse."
They all looked at Amber in confusion. Nick asked, "What is a greenhouse?" The castle was grey. He didn't know Amber liked the color green so much.
Amber explained, "A greenhouse helps to keep vegetables and herbs green and alive during the cold season. We make them in my world with glass. Glass is a clear hard rock that is see-through. You can make it with sand."
They all looked at Amber in surprise! How many secrets did she know? There was a way to use sand to grow vegetables in the cold season? This would help the females survive!
Whatever the process was, they would do it! Amber explained that sand would need to be heated very hot to melt it and turn it into glass. She told them about kilns and how to make clay out of mud. Nick was very impressed! He had already made an oven. He could easily make this kiln! Amber advised he should make it outside since it would get extremely hot, and it needs good ventilation.
He planned to start construction after lunch. He was determined to create this glass for Amber's greenhouse!
Amber felt bad that he was working so hard, but he insisted that it was for the survival of all the females. She couldn't argue with him.
Fred asked, "What kind of herbs would you like for your garden? I will collect them for you."
Amber described some herbs she knew about, thyme, dill, parsley, oregano, basil, rosemary, vanilla beans, and peppermint. She described the way they tasted and drew some that she knew on the wall with a charcoal stick.
