Ilyana's heels created the loud steps on the floor as she rushed to leave far away from her mother. Sometimes she doubted Madam Zhou was her real mother seeing how easily she would push her into the mouth of danger as if she didn't care what will happen to her or her safety. Then again when she was terribly sick after a pneumonia her mother was still absent from her life, as to her mother Pandora was more important.
Ilyana sighed, she didn't want to continue wallowing in the fact her mother didn't truly love her. She didn't want to have a mommy issue and cry for her mother's indifference toward her. Rather, Ilyana had stopped caring, only feeling angry when seeing her mother smile as if she believed she would win over her. She wouldn't let her mother win, at least this time.
"Ilyana," someone's voice rushingly called for her but Ilyana who was deep in her thought didn't pay much attention to the loud noise.
Annoyed, Samuel raised her voice even more, "ILYANA!"
