Being feared isn't a new emotion Ilyana saw people hold against her. When she was younger, there were some instances where her schoolmate would run away from her, fearing the words that she said which contain no guilt or fear that others perceived as "monstrous". But she never once felt offended nor have she shied away from being called as one. She also recognize her own reflection as a sleeping monster who would turn frightening when her anger speaks before her.
Worse, she had quite the temperament. Once she was angered to her core, everything before her turned red.
This was also why she forgot that Lev was standing behind her, watching her as she gave no mercy while choking the man whose life would have ended soon if she didn't wring his neck either. By the time her enemy died on her hands, she heard Lev's breathing voice, finding out that all this time he was watching her.
