Andrey and Jessy joined the formation along with other warriors. They are positioned in front as vanguard, the archers and spell casters are station above the walls as support against enemies from the air, and the General and army officers are in the middle along with the kingdom soldiers.
Jessy notice something about their group as if all the warriors that came from their base are still exhausted even though the big war haven't started.
The cause of their exhaustion is their long journey and they have only eaten potatoes along the way, they didn't have enough rest before they participate in the ambush.
Andrey in the other hand doesn't fell a bit of exhaustion although he also experience what they had endured and cast multiple Divine Talents, it is because the power given to him by the god Destro that he had infinite energy inside his body.
Jessy quickly inform Andrey about the warriors situation and advised him to use another Divine Talent to keep his men from harm's way
"master you can protect your self and your men using Divine armor spell, it will cover us with impenetrable shield for fifteen minutes. "
Andrey agreed to his suggestion and wait for the war to start.
When the demons and monsters gone close to them they sent a messenger and ask specifically for the General of the human army.
The General walk forward and listen to their message
"surrender now you weak human, your struggles will only end up for nothing. If you surrender maybe we will keep you as a pet but if you continue fighting you will be food for the monsters."
Irritated because of the message, the General grinned his teeth and struck the messenger with his sword slicing him into two pieces.
Because of the agitation General Raevien his men to stand firmly and warn everyone that who ever try's to run away will be killed by his sword.
Before the battle began Jessy ask Andrey if he will use him as a sword, but Andrey said no to him because he knows he will be much usable at the moment as an additional man power because of his magnificent skills in combat.
But he told Jessy to be ready at all times so if he run into much powerful opponent he could assist him as his sword.
Both Andrey and Jessy only have standard sword and base on Andrey's experience as a warrior because of the previous battles his sword might break if he face a resilient opponent.
Suddenly all the humans forces focus on one direction as their enemies form a open path in their middle.
The Vice commander is walking arrogantly glaring at the human army with disgust in his face.
Following him are the other officers from demons and monsters wearing their frightening smile like a savage beast ready to devour their prey.
Many of the human army start to harbor fear because of the terrifying aura the Vice commander and his officers.
But General Raevien stayed firm and tried to boost the moral of all his soldiers.
"Men this is our last stand, we are the only hope the humanity have, imagine what will happen to all the people in our kingdom if they get pass us, no one will survive, your mother, father, wife, son, and friends will be their toys or worst slaughter by those beast. Besides if we lose all will die but before that happens let's make sure those bastards dies first!"
After the final speech of the General all their hearts begins to burn and turn their fears into ashes.
"Yah the General is right we will die eventually so let's die with honor"
A loud roar began on human army sign the everyone is in high spirits and prepared to die fighting.
Andrey is deeply touched by the General's message so he looked straight to Jessy and ask him a favor.
"Jessy! Let's make sure many of them come back home with their families."
Jessy replied with a smile and prepare to engage the enemies.
The demon Vice commander signal the attack and the whole army of demons and monsters started their assault.
Andrey cast Divine armor to the warriors as soon as he see the enemies charge towards them.
Jessy spearhead the counter attack slaying low level enemies one after another.
The warriors had the upper hand in the beginning the gives them more courage to fight back but at the middle of the fight a strong spell has been fired in their midst sending all in the area of explosion flying, humans, monsters, demons there is no exemptions in the attack, the casters only intention is to destroy.
Luckily the Divine armor the Andrey has cast has not yet worn off so the warriors that had been caught to the blast had sustain fatal injuries but still breathing.
Andrey ordered his men to retrieve the wounded and step back from battle as he meet face to face with the demon who cast the strong spell. A high level demon with a huge body.
Andrey began to his assault with a ferocious eyes, he release multiple chains of attack desperately trying to land a hit to his foe.
On the other side of the battle field Jessy and the other warriors continue decreasing the low level enemies while the rest of the army remained to their position to guard the gate. The archers assist the warriors from their distance while some of the mages go outside the wall to heal the wounded.
General Raevien see that they have gained the momentum of the fight he order half of the army to assist the warriors, but he didn't know the wave of the battle will soon be change.
