"Professor."
"Yes?"
"I have a question."
As William and Wilhelm walked towards the camp that Pyry and the others made, Wiliam asked Wilhelm several questions about Grayfield and other things that piqued his curiosity.
"Ahh I see, so that's why it's called Grayfield." William said. "It was called grayfiled because the place where Grayfield was established was known as the ashen plains, which people would eventually call the 'Grayfield."
"Right, before Grayfield was ever established, Lady Florentia would set up her base of operations in 'Grayfiled' due to its central location in the continent along with the fact that it was also one of the most easily defendable places in the continent. With Florentia's reputation as the champion of Humanity at the time, people came in droves to 'Grayfield'. Over time the base turned from a castle to a small village, to a town and eventually became a city in its own right."
"I see," William said.
"Eventually when Florentia and her allies were able to kick out the majority of the monsters that plagued the continent. Her base which has also turned into a small prospering city would eventually call her castle as 'Grayfield. Lady Florentia would govern 'Grayfied' along with the city that grew under her watch now known as Beowulf city. But it was in those years that Lady Florentia noticed something inside of the city. There wasn't any form of education being taught in Beowulf, and Lady Florentia heavily valued education. So 6 Months after that revelation, Florentia would turn her former castle into an Academy now known as Grayfield." Wilhelm explained.
As Wilhelm finished his explanation, he looked at William.
"Did my explanation satisfy you?" He asked.
"Y-yeah," William sid.
Wilhelm nodded "Good, because I would have run out of things to say to you, I'm not a Historian, I'm a combat teacher. If you have any other questions you can go and approach Winston when you meet him at Grayfield.
William nodded as the two of them returned to the camp that Pyry and the others made.
William waved at them, "Hey guys! How are you all doing?"
Pyry approached the two, "Nothing much, we were able to establish a camp here, miraculously I was able to stop Theodore and Helios from constantly bickering."
Wiliam nodded as he smiled. "I see, thanks for looking out for those two. I appreciate it."
"But I didn't do much." Pyry said.
"Aside from that here is our food, here you can hae it and go find someone who knows how to cook in this camp Pyry." Wilhelm said as he gae Pyry the large deer.
William looked at Wilhelm and asked. "You know Pyry?"
"Yes, I personally know both of his guardians, both of them are my coworkers." Wilhelm said as he crossed his arms.
William noted that wIlhelm said 'guardians' and not 'parents'. He decided to ask him later since with Pyry nearby he didn't want to make things more awkward.
As Pyry as took the deer and began to approach both elios and Theopdore. Wiliam walked towards Dolian and the others.
"Hey guys." WIlliam said.
"Well, well look who do we have here." Yuri said. "Sup William."
"Greetings." Blake said.
"Top of the morning to you." Dolian said.
"But,it's already afternoon and soon it will be evening." William said as he blankly looked at Dolian.
"Neer mind that!" Dolian said nonchalantly. " So! How has your day been?"
"Nothing much," Willim said.
'Aside from getting launched of a bus and fighting an incredibly large spider, and later on helping my teacher hunt for food and later on fighting an incredibly large wolf… Yeah, my day has been normal." William thought to himself.
William would engage in small talks with Dolian, Blake and Yuri for a while before leaving the three of them to themselves.
William walked to Theodore and Helios as they were busy cooking the deer by the campfire that was most likely made by Helios. Surprisingly the two of them don't seem to be arguing amongst themselves.
William looked at the two of them closely and he saw that the two of them hae bumps atop of their head, someone must hae punched the two of them.
Pyry was nearby watching the two of them cook. William looked closely at him and he saw that Pyry didn't have a bump on his head, but he was slightly drooling while looking at the food that was being cooked by Theodroe and Pyry.
"Hey you two, how have the two of you been?" William asked the two of them.
"I dunno, the fact that we're being forced to do this is unfair." THeodore complained.
"Just shut up you idiot, he might hear you." Helios grumbled beside Theodore.
"Yeah, I know." Theodore said
"I hard that." Pyry said.
"..."
"... What did I just tell you, Theodore."
"To shut up."
"Exactly."
Then both Theodore and Helios were both hit by Pyry in the head. The two of them held their heads in pain.
"Less complainingh and more cooking." Pyry said.
"Easy for you to say." THeodore said in a whisper.
Pyry looked at Theodore before punching him in the head again. Causing him to hold his head in pain.
Helios decided to be the wise one and didn't help Theodore and focus back on cooking the food.
'I'm not joining you in the after life, Theo.' Helios thought to himself as he quetly cooked the food.
And William watched the whole situation with a blank face.
'... What did I just watch?' William thought to himself, 'Did I just watch Pyry dominate Helios and Theodore!?!'
Pyry looked at WIlliam for a moment before approaching him and asked.
"Do you want to cook too?" He asked.
"Umm, I'll pass," WIlliam said. "Ah before I forget, can I borrow Theodore for a second, I need him to check on my injury." he said as he showled Pyry his bandaged arm.
Pyry nodded I see, I understand you can borrow Theodore for a while.
Theodore walked up to William as he looked at William's injuries, and nodded for a moment.
Theodore whistled as he looked at William's bandaged arm.
"Impressive, who applied this bandage?" Theodore asked as he looked at his injury.
"Wilhelm did." William responded.
Theodore looked at William as for a moment before noddding.
"No wonder it's well done." Theodore noted as he grabbed William arm. "William, I'm going to need remove these bandages and replace them."
William nodded, "Sure, go right ahead."
As Theodore began to replace William's bandages. Pyry looked at Helios as he cooked everyone's food.
'Why is this happening to me!?!' Helios thought to himself as he cooked the food.
Pyry for his part was looking down at Helios, silently contemplating what to say to Helios.
"Are you done?" Pyry asked.
"No, not yet." Helios said. "Be patient."
"Understood." Pyry said.
The two of them sat there in silence as Helios cooked their food and Pyry silently watching over him.
Pyry looked away in embarrassment for a moment. "I'm sorry." He said.
Helios looked at Pyry for a moment. "What? Are you apologizing for?" he asked.
"For hitting you." Pyry said.
"For hitting me." Helios repeated.
"I-I know that hitting you and Theodore wasn't exactly a good idea, but it was the only idea I had at the moment. So now that things have cooled down, I'm here to apologize '' Pyry said.
Helios looked at Pyry before turning back and cooking the food. "Don't apologize Pyry, To be honest I actually appreciate you hitting me, and I think Therefore also appreciates it. Someone has to be the oice of reason when things get chaotic inside of a team." Helios said.
"B-but, isn't William also the voice of reason." Pyry said.
"Yes, he is reasonable, I assume. But I don't think he has the spine to lecture and discipline me and Theodore." Helios said honestly.
Although the two of them only meet today, from what he could tell from William, he was a good leader but someone who probably couldn't raise his voice on his teammates.
"... I see." Pyry said.
"Helios chuckled as he looked back at Pyry for a moment. "Now that isn't to say that I'm as childish as Theodore, I'm normally more mature than that. It's just that he is surprisingly good at angering me."
Pyry nodded at his words and looked away for a moment as he looked at William and Theodore as he bandaged William's arms.
"... I still think you're making excuses for your anger issues." Pyry whispered to himself.
Theodore eventually finished bandaging William's arm as he look back at WIlliam.
"Now that's done I should probably get back to cooking the food. Helios might complain that he's doing all of the work." Theodore said.
WIlliam chuckled, "Yeah, he probably will."
Theodore went to Helios as he helped cook the food, While William went to Pyry and went to talk to him.
"Hey, Pyry, how are you doing?" William asked.
Pyry looked at William before looking up and began to think. "Personally, I think I'm fine. But tomorrow I'm not so sure."
"Huh? Why's that?" William sasked.
"More than likely we're going to meet one of my guardians." Pyry said as he shivered slightly. "She is going to be angry."
"Well, she can't be all that scary." William tried to reassure him.
"No, she is indeed scary." Pyry said.
"Well, scary or not I doubt she would hurt you, especially since you're a little bit injured." William said. "Did you get Theodore to check up on your injuries?"
Pyry nodded, "That was actually the first thing that we did, we made sure to check up on all of our injuries and had them all bandaged up. That way when we were assigning tasks for everyone we knew how much they can do without over exerting themselves."
William nodded in satisfaction. "Well I'm glad that none of you overexerted yourselves."
As the two of them were talking Theodore and Helios finished cooking all of the food.
"Everyone, the food is ready!" Theodore said.
"Can't you say it witout shouting." Helo said beside him.
"What? You want me to whisper to them that the food is ready." Theodore shot back at Helios.
But before the two of them started to argue again Pyry looked at the two of them with an intimidating glare, causing the two of shut up.
Everyone began to get their food for the night as WIlliam grabbed his own portion of food and began to eat it.
His mouth exploded as the rich flavor of the food showed itself in it's entirty to them.
"Soooo Gooodd" wIlliam said as he took another bite rom the food.
"See, I knew tat they were going to like my food more." Theodore said.
"I'm Not so sure about that." Helios said. "Just look at Pyry, he's eating all of that food as if he loves it."
Pyry was eating the food he has like he was a carnivorous animal.
Theodore looked at him for a moment in silence. "You call that eating Helios."
"Of course I call that eating. There is nothing more satisfying when you see someone loving your food so much to the point that they forgets their table manners and starts to eat it like an animal." Helios boasted.
"You're weird." THeodore said.
"Right back at you," Helios said.
Wilhelm walked towards his student as he looked and asked. "I see that the food is done cooking, well I'll be taking my part."
Wilhelm took his own portion of food and quickly left but before leaving, Wilhelm looked at them.
"Also I'll be the one keeping watch tonight, I'll be choosing one of you to take oer guard duty later. If you want to volunteer I would also greatly appreciate it." Wilhelm said.
Blake quickly raised his hand as he entered. "I would like to be on guard duty later."
Yuri also smiled. "Sure you can wake me up later as well."
Dolian smiled "Since the two of them are volunteering , I might as well join them."
Wilhelm nodded as he looked at the three of them, "I see, I'll be waking the three of you up later. For now, when all of you are done eating you can all go on and sleep for tonight. We will be leaving early tomorrow."
Wiliam nodded as he looked at William, "Got it Professor."
Everyone quickly ate their food as they all finished their food and the remains of what they ate at a small pit and buried in dirt.
As for how everyone would be sleeping, Wilhelm happened to hae brought with him seeral hammocks for everyone to sleep in.
As William laid on his hammock to sleep, he looked up at the sky and stars.
"Huh, I missed this." William whispered to himself as he looked at the stars above.
"Missed what?" Theodore asked.
"Looking at the stars." William said. "I haven't done this in a long time."
"So it's just stargazing." Helios said.
"Pretty much." William said.
"How long." Pyry asked.
"For about 10-11 years." William answered.
"Why, it's pretty easy to watch the stars. All you have to do is go out at night, find a nice spot to lay on and there you go." Helios said.
"No, it's not that, It's just… Stargazing was never the same after the incident 10 years ago…" William said.
All three of them knew what Willim was talking about as all three of them realized that they were in a landmine and any wrong word that comes out of their mouths could lead to William reliving old memories.
"Hmmm,"
All three of them thought about a way to move their conversation elsewhere but to no avail.
"Let's…Just go to sleep." William sai.
No one refuted what he said. As Eeryone went to sleep, everyone but wIlliam had a thought.
'What happened to William 10 years ago?"
————————————————————————————
As the early sun rose from the horizon, wIlliam slowly opened his eyes and was greeted by Dolian looking over him with a large smile on his face.
"Wake up sleepy head."
"Ahhh!" William said as he shouted and tried to punch Dolian away only for him to quickly dodge it and smiled at him.
"You know it's not polite to punch someone waking you up in the face, right?" Dolian asked.
"Well, it's not like I expected to see someone's face so close and say something creepy." William said as he defended himself.
Wilhelm walked up to William.
"I see that you are awake, William. Go help Dolian wake the others up." Wilhelm commanded.
William nodded as the two of them quickly woke the others up.
"Now that everyone is awake, follow me." Wilhelm said as he began walking.
Everyone walked for about an hour before they all walked to a cliff overlooking Grayfield.
Grayfield academy was located near a river that provided the region with incredibly fertile lands for farming, along with that the academy was also located near several mountains creating many choke points for the academy to use in case of emergencies.
The academy was massie as the large stone and marble structure that seems to tower over everything else.
Near the academy was the great city of Beowul. The city that grew alongside Grayfield academy. It was said that Grayfield is Beowulf city and Vice versa.
"Wow." William said, astonished at what he saw.
William wasn't the only one amiring Grayfield Academy. Almost everyone else was admiring the academy.
Wilhelm looked at all seven of them fondly as he was reminiscing old memories, quickly returning back to the topic Wilhelm looked at them for a few moments before speaking.
"Are you all done?" Wilhelm asked. "Come on, instead of admiring the view you should personally see what Grayfield has to offer you all."
Everyone looked at each other as they all quickly agreed to each other.
Wilhelm took a step off the cliff as he began to slide down the cliff.
Everyone quickly followed behind as they all began to slide down the cliff. After they all slid down the cliff they all continued their way towards Grayfield and Beowulf city.
As they all approached Grayfield and Beowulf city the large walls that were built to defend the city from attacks towered all of them.
Wilhelm walked up to one of the guards that were guarding the gate and showed him his badge.
The guard quickly realized who he was and quickly ordered that the gate be opened.
"Who are those seen oer there?" The guard asked Wilhelm.
"What do they look like." Wilhelm said. "Their my students."
"Ah! My apologies Sir Wilhelm." The guard said as he apologized.
Wilhelm sighed as he looked behind him and asked them.
"What are you all waiting for, follow me." Wilhelm said as he entered the city.
Everyone quickly entered the city as the last one that would enter the city was Wiliam as he looked at the large city and academy in admiration.
"Look Liam, I made it." William said to himself as he held a small necklace. "Just like I promised."
And with that William entered the city, quickly following the others.
"Where are we going professor?" William asked.
"We're going to be checking up on your injuries." Wilhelm said. "We're going to the clinic.
Pyry stopped for a moment before shivering in fear.
