In an old abandoned cottage in the woods, a scream was heard. A frail and paled looking man was on the floor groaning in pain as blood was flowing from his wounds.
"Please just let me go, I promise I won't be a bother to anyone anymore". The man begged in pain.
A low chuckle was heard from a man standing at the window of the cottage staring at nothing in particular, he had a dark gaze as he stared out the window. The man was tall and had an intimidating aura around him.
He finally turned around and looked at the frail man on the floor. He had a cold an icy look that matched his menacing smile.
"Ahh" the man sighed as he crouched to the man's level. He looked at the man and said;
" Why do you all beg for your lives before you get punished, huh?"
"Please just let me go and you won't even know that I exist anymore. I'll be gone and won't be seen again, I promise". The man in pain pleaded again.
"That's what you all say in a situation like this". The man with the menacing smile said.
"Just this onc...."
Before the man could finish his sentence, his head was decapitated.
The cold looking man cleaned his twin daggers on the man's clothes and stood up. As he was about to walk away, he sensed someone's presence outside the cottage.
" damn it". He cursed and sighed.
He turned around and saw a young lady staring straight at him. The lady immediately hid her face and started running away.
He scoffed with a smirk on his lips in amusement.
The lady ran as fast as she could to leave the woods, but she hit something hard and fell on the ground. She groaned in pain and looked up to meet a pair of icy blue eyes staring at her in amusement.
She took out her emergency pepper spray and sprayed the man while standing up but the man didn't move an inch or react to the pepper spray. The lady tried to run away again but the man caught her by the hand. The lady struggled with the man trying to escape but it was to no avail.
After struggling for long she started screaming for help but she was knocked out by the man.
The man looked at the unconscious lady in his arms and cursed again "fuck".
*Earlier that night*
A man walked into a club that was located off the city. He walked straight to the bartender and said; "your finest whiskey and an ice tea".
The bartender nodded and went on with the other.
The man took few sips of his drink as he watched people dancing. His eyes wandered around the club until he saw a young boy and two ladies really drunk on the sofa. The man smiled and said to himself;
"showtime".
He finished his drink and went straight to them.
As he was approaching them, he hear a deep masculine voice that made him freeze on his tracks;
"So, I'm guessing this is your strategy?"
The man was shocked as he heard the stranger's voice but he quickly covered it up with a smile and turned to the stranger;
"Oh I'm sorry, I just wanted to chat a little, I didn't know you were here". The man said facing the strange man.
The strange man was tall, about 6'2 with a black long coat on him.
"wow, that's quite impressive". The stranger said with a smirk on his face.
The man looked at the stranger for a few seconds and said;
"I'm sorry, are they with you?"
He was already looking for a way to escape the situation when he felt a little pain on his abdomen. He looked down and saw a knife driven into him. He creased his brows but his expression changed when he saw a crest on the knife's handle. His eyes widen as he looked at the stranger who still kept a smirk on his face in fear.
Meanwhile...
On the other side of the club were two best friends who were having fun with some men(well, one of them actually);
"Kate, it's already late. We need to leave. I have to go to work tomorrow". Alicia said with a little frown on her face.
"Oh come on girl, it's not that late, it's just 9:30 pm you know?" Kate said a little tipsy
"You know that I don't stay out late, especially in a place like this". Alicia said with worry on her face as she looked around the club.
Kate had dragged Alicia to go clubbing with her and her boyfriend Nate. Alicia had tried so many ways to avoid going but her friend insisted saying; "You only live once, enjoy and flex the life you have for once ".
They went to an old club that was off town. Kate's boyfriend Nate had brought along his friend David to keep his girlfriend's best friend company.
But Alicia was super uncomfortable with the way he was staring at her while trying to flirt with her. Alicia felt disgusted by his lustful gaze and tried to get her attention on something else but David was persistent in trying to impress her.
Alicia cried internally out of frustration and started pestering her friend for them to leave;
"Kate I need to leave now alright, I have work tomorrow and I don't want to be late. I'll text you when I get home, okay?" Alicia said as she stood up. She had barely touched her drink.
"Babe just a little more time okay? Just stay a little then you leave alright?" Kate pleaded with her but Alicia was already getting prepared to leave. If she stays one more minute with the weird man close to her, she might explode out of anger.
"I'm sorry but I can't. I need to go". Alicia said to her drunk friend.
"Hey, how about I drop you off at your house. I don't think it's safe to go back home alone ". David said as he stood up to accompany her but she declined almost immediately;
"No!". " I mean thanks for the offer but I think I'll be fine on my own".
"Are you sure?" David asked a little disappointed.
"Yeah, totally sure. I know this place very well".
She had lied just to avoid getting him to accompany her.
" uhm okay, if you insist ". David said as he sat back down on the sofa.
"Make sure you text me when you get home, okay?!" Kate said louder than usual.
"Sure, have fun okay. don't drink too much". Alicia said as she left the club.
On her way out, she was bumped by a man making her stagger a little.
There was fear in his eyes as he looked at her. He immediately ran out of the club moving across the street as he was clutching his stomach.
She was confused on what was going on but decided to ignore. As she was at the exit of the club, she got bumped again by another guy but this time she fell on the floor;
"ouch, really?!"
She yelled at the second man that was walking casually across the street following where the first guy that bumped her went but he totally ignored her as he was walking into the woods not paying attention to anyone.
Alicia groaned in anger; 'All he had to do was apologize, was that such a hard thing to do?!' She scream in her head.
She stood up from the floor as rage had clouded her mind. She followed the man yelling on top of her voice; "Hey, don't you know how to apologize?!!" but the man still ignored her as he kept walking carefree.
Alicia was already boiling in anger. One thing she hated was being ignored because it made her look irrelevant and weak and the man had done it twice. She knew she had anger issues but she could not help it at that situation.
"Hey, I'm talking to you". She yelled as she chased the man. She didn't care who he was, all she wanted was to get an apology and she will get it this night.
After chasing the man for quite some time, she lost track of him. She looked everywhere but she didn't see anyone. She has never been in this part of the city so she didn't know her way out.
Her anger slowly turned to fear because she just realized that she just became lost in the woods.
She was already panicking when she heard a scream somewhere in the forest. Her curiosity lead her to locate where the scream came from. Normally she would be running at the opposite direction screaming for help, but she suddenly grew this boldness and courage to find out what was happening.
As she drew nearer to where the scream was coming from, she started hearing other noises like the sound of woods breaking and clanging of metallic weapon.
The more she came closer the more noises sounded clearer. After walking for few minutes, she saw a tiny wooden cottage. The cottage was a bit old and looked like it belonged to a lumberjack.
She suddenly heard a man's voice coming from the cottage as she kept approaching in tiny steps;
"I'm sorry. I couldn't help it. The law was difficult to obey. but if you spare me this once, I'll never go against the law again. Please I beg of you!" She heard a man that was groaning in pain speak.
She creeped closer to the cottage to listen to their conversation. She froze and flinched form her spot when she heard the man's bone break earning an agonizing yell from him.
"It's too late for that. You're no longer one of us".
Alicia heard another voice but it was colder than the other. She decided to peep to see who was in there, but got shocked as she saw the same man that that she was chasing and asking for an apology earlier.
She kept looking at the scene in front of her with widen eyes, but what shocked her the most was when she saw the man on the floor get his head decapitated from his body.
Fear immediately shook her being but she couldn't move from her spot. She kept looking at the dead man on the floor with wide eyes.
She realized that she heard just witnessed a murder scene.
Her legs began to move backwards slowly as she was trying to get away from there before she would be seen but it was too late as her eyes got locked with an icy blue one.
'She has been caught'. she said in her head as fear gripped her the more sending chills down her spine. The man had a cold look which scared her the more. Her legs began to move at their own will trying to get away from the scene.
She ran as fast as she could, regretting along the way; 'This wouldn't have happened if I wasn't trying to prove that I was not a weak woman. I would have just mind my business and left!!'. She screamed in her head as she ran as fast as she could.
Tears began to form in her eyes as she started wishing someone would save her but she knew that she was done for. No one is coming for her rescue.
