In a vibrant green forest, on a sunny day. A highschool boy was sitting under a tree, relaxing. He usually did this, as it was the place he felt most comfortable. Soon enough, he remembered he had to head to school. He stood up slowly, stretching after fully standing up.
He would then walk out of the small forest. After emerging from the lush greenery, he was greeted by a familiar voice.
"I knew you'd be here, Kuroko!"
Kuroko sighed, "You show up here everyday, and so do I. It's getting kind of annoying, Koichi."
Koichi got a slightly upset look on his face. He then gestured for Kuroko to walk with him.
"We wouldn't wanna be late, would we? Especially not on our first day of our last year in highschool."
"I suppose so."
Kuroko sighed once again. The boys began to walk to school, and not too long afterwards, they arrived at the gates.
"Well, this is it. Our last year in highschool begins today!"
Koichi was clearly excited. Kuroko, however, stayed silent, and was not as excited. He just nodded his head and walked through the gates.
"Let's just get a move on. You said we wouldn't want to be late."
Koichi was slightly disappointed at Kuroko's lack of enthusiasm. He just sighed and followed Kuroko to their classroom.
They had barely made it in time, as the bell rang to signify the start of class right when they sat down. Kuroko decided to take a seat in the back right corner, by the window. Koichi decided to just sit in front of him.
"Let us begin with introductions," the teacher said.
The day quickly passed by. Before they knew it, Koichi and Kuroko were walking out of the school gates that they felt they had just entered.
The entirety of the walk home was silent. Except for when the two arrived in front of Koichi's house.
"Well, Kuroko, I'll see you tomorrow!"
"Right. See you."
Koichi smiled and walked into his home. Kuroko continued walking, with his head down, with an upset expression.
Eventually, Kuroko would also arrive home. And when he opened the door, he was greeted by silence, per usual. Kuroko had lived alone for a while now. He used to live with his Grandma, but she had passed away not too long after his 18th birthday.
After walking in, Kuroko took his shoes off and put his school bag down.
"I suppose a small nap wouldn't hurt. I'm exhausted anyways," although to himself, he still spoke out loud.
Kuroko walked into his room and fell down on his bed, still wearing his school uniform. Kuroko quickly fell asleep.
-About 6 hours later-
Kuroko woke up, the sun shining into his closed eyes.
"Why is it so… bright?"
Kuroko had been confused, but he quickly shot up, thinking he was late for school.
But when Kuroko fully saw his surroundings, he was even more confused.
Kuroko was sitting up in a wide open field of vivid green grass.
"Is this… a dream?"
Very soon after he had questioned the reality of the situation, an unfamiliar voice spoke up from behind him.
"A dream it is not."
