Yunfeng blankly looked up at the towering figure. Even though the person still wore his mask, he was able to make out who he was.
"Muchen?"
The star's brown eyes shone brightly in the afternoon sunlight, and with the cherry blossoms in the background, he looked like a freaking angel that had descended from heaven.
Yunfeng's heart started to pound loudly in his chest.
"Who?" Jai gazed back at him with a small frown.
"It's Ren Muchen. We met at the restaurant," he whispered, pointing to his face. "Why are you here? And why are you looking for me?"
Ren Muchen removed his face mask and grinned his way. "I just wanted a favor from you."
Yunfeng tilted his head slightly. What does he want from me?
Without having to ask, Muchen stated his request. "I want you..."
Jai instantly pulled Yunfeng behind him in a protective stance. "What the hell, dude? You're a star! Why are you doing this shit? You can literally have anyone else you want!"
Muchen looked at him weirdly. "He is the one I need. No one else will do."
He needed this guy's statement to actually prove that his aunt had tried to poison him since he did not have the soup.
"I can give you double the amount you earn from your work, and I swear I will keep you safe."
The progression of the case would definitely put this guy's life at risk, whether he got involved or not. His aunt would not let him live. So, Muchen had already prepared bodyguards for him in case something bad happened.
Yunfeng looked at him in horror, gripping Jai's shirt tightly. Was this his intention when he helped me? He then subconsciously touched his face. He knew he had a handsome face, but most of the time, he got involved with men like that.
Even in his previous life, so many alphas had come up to him with that haughty attitude, as if they already owned his body.
He gritted his teeth.

"He is just eighteen!" Jai screamed at him with a look of horror.
"So?" Muchen blinked softly, batting his thick lashes. Do I need to get his guardian's permission for him to appear in court or something? He did not have much clue how it was done.
"I'll contact my lawyer. He will give you all the details. All you have to do is sign a contract."
"No!" Yunfeng glared up at him. "My body is my own." He hugged himself with a look of horror.
In this life, he was not rich, nor did he have a powerful background. He could not afford to offend this guy, who was dressed in brand names from head to toe.
He gritted his teeth and grabbed Jai's hand. "He is my boyfriend!"
Jai played along, nodding vigorously.
"Oh, I see…" Muchen confusedly rubbed his nose. A strong orange fragrance filled his nostrils. It was sweet and tantalizing. His mouth started to water all of a sudden.
Gulping, he looked the boy up and down. The boy was just over five foot five. Compared to his six-foot frame, he looked like a cute little bunny.
"If we go through with this, you will come out of this deal rich, and I will come out of this satisfied."
"Fuck off!" Yunfeng screamed and dragged Jai away hurriedly. The longer he talked to that bastard, the higher his blood pressure shot up.
Ren Muchen just gaped at their retreating backs. "What the heck?" He called his friend.
"Shao, I met the waiter boy here. I asked him to appear as a case witness, but he rejected me. He even told me to fuck off!" He clenched his hand with a look of disgust. It was this guy who groped my hand.
It was rightful that he should be the one to feel disgusted. Not the other way around.
"Buddy, what did you tell him?" Shao let out a loud sigh.
"I told him I need him."
"And?"
"I even offered twice the money he would get in his whole life working as a waiter, but he rejected it! God, people these days are so presumptuous. Should I offer three times the amount?" He rethought it a little.
"You said nothing else?"
Muchen frowned deeply. "Yeah, he just said he has a boyfriend and ran away." He lowered the phone.
"Hey! I'll offer you three times the amount. And maybe a bit for your boyfriend as well!"
Jai and Yunfeng gazed back at him in pure disgust.
"This bastard. Should I just rip off his balls?" Yunfeng grinned maliciously.
"I'll talk to him. Wait here." Jai helped him unclench his fist and walked up to that annoying star.
Muchen watched the so-called boyfriend walk up to him with a victorious smile. "Money buys anyone."
"Muchen-ah, your mouth… Your mouth is your doom," Shao said with a deep sigh.
"What? Wait, that guy is here." He lowered the phone again. "Do you agree? Get in the car." He threw open the car door.
"Do you know who I am? My dad owns Shin Entertainment, which controls fifty percent of the entertainment industry you work in. With just a snap of my fingers, I can make you disappear from this world. Don't you dare appear in front of my friend and incur my wrath."
"I thought he was your boyfriend." Muchen frowned slightly, gazing at the boy. He had to admit, the boy had a very agreeable face. His chubby cheeks turned a slight shade of pink when he yelled, and his cute bunny-like eyes shone with an appealing light. He could be a very good actor for sure.
"If you're not good with the deal, I can throw in a movie deal. Your friend can use the cash."
"Shut up!"
Yunfeng watched their confrontation with a deep frown. Should I get cosmetic surgery or something?
He had seen so many ads on the sides of buildings that surgery could enhance his features. It was all because of his cute face that he kept attracting men like this.
Sigh. I don't have the cash for that.
He gazed away from the disgusting guy and at the street. The antique cars were driving by him fast.
But a small silver glint caught his eye.
Squinting, he looked carefully. The glint was coming from the rooftop of a high-rise building just a street away from them.
His eyes widened.
He had seen this glint before.
"Get down!" He rushed to them and pushed Jai down. Along with them, that pervert also fell.
A loud gunshot rang out above them, shattering the car window into shards.
Eyes wide open, Yunfeng looked at the state of the window and then at the ground, where there was a huge dent. If it had hit this pervert, the bullet would have passed through him and hit Jai as well.
He started to sweat. "Jai, are you hurt?"
"No..." Jai clung to his arm, trembling.
"What is it? Why are you trembling? Hey..." He cupped his stiff face.
Jai had his eyes tightly closed and was biting his lip. "No… no, please…"
"Jai?!"
Another loud gunshot rang out, startling them even more. This time, it hit the ground at the same spot.
"That fucking bitch!" Muchen laughed out loud. "I am going to skin her alive."
Yunfeng looked up at him in horror. This guy isn't just a pervert; he's also violent. Maybe he has a mafia family or something. Otherwise, why would someone go to the extent of hiring a killer?
Sensing his gaze, Muchen looked down at him with his brow raised. "She sent you, didn't she? Or else how did she know I would stop here?"
"Huh?"
The crazy guy suddenly gripped his neck tightly. "Still acting innocent? Didn't she ask you to save my ass just so you could get close and poison me?" He sniffed his neck loudly. "You even went through the trouble of putting on a delicious perfume. Have to admit, you did a great job acting all cute and innocent."
Yunfeng looked at him in complete horror.
"Fuck you! Fuck you, crazy pervert!" He punched him right in the nose.
Stunned, Muchen fell to the ground.
The next instant, a bullet hit the spot where his head had been peeking from behind the car.
"I knew it! You work for her. I'll kill you, bastard!"
