We continue to drive to the small town where the races are usually held. I'm excited to see what my best friend does for a hobby. We drive down to the road listening to popping music. I sit in the back as I watch Raven Alex's mate secretly watch her while she drives. It was interesting to learn the back story of how they met quite funny actually to a point.
But then Alex has trust issues so him running away like that wasn't very ideal. But as we continue down the road I start to see a race track building through the windshield. We slowly pull into the RaceTrac Alex starts driving to her compartment garage. When we get there I see Alex's race car that I've only seen in photos.
I'm so excited to meet this Lily person she's supposed to be my best friend's other friend they say they're not friends because technically they're enemies in the racing world. Knowing Alex she's pretty competitive she's not going to admit that they're friends but they are everybody can see it. The way Alex's eyes light up when she's talking about her or the way she's always late from racist because she was racing Lily around the racetrack again they were friends everybody knew it.
She seemed to be a smart girl from what Alex has told me I'm just happy she decided to bring me along to one of her races for once it's how she without her frustrations. I'm surprised she brought Raven though her racing is something valuable to her when I asked to come previously she said no because she didn't want me to see her the way she is when she's racing competitive and irresponsible.
She's a strong-willed woman and that makes her a great leader. But not only is she strong-willed but she is kind-hearted and compassionate. As long as you're on the right side of her you'll see how brave and loving she can be especially to the people she cares about.
I've got to admit I'm jealous that she's found her me already. I'm the princess of the vampire Kingdom and I cannot become Queen until I find my mate. But I don't care about becoming Queen I want to find my mate so I can be happy and have someone to love me as much as I love them someone I can share funny moments with.
The funny thing about the supernatural world is that even saving gender maids can have children. It's magic just like our beings a person who can turn into a wolf a vampire who drinks blood and all types of supernatural creatures. Which makes me hopeful that one day I'll be able to have children. So one day when I do become Queen I can pass my throne down to my child I can see it now passing the title down to a young king or queen.
We pull into her racing garage she parks. As I step out of the truck I smell the most breathtaking scent. It smelled like caramel and apples. But as soon as I smell it it's gone like the wind has blown it away almost as if it was leaves fallen by The Fall season. I was a little disappointed about the smell just automatically disappearing it was kind of addicting.
Welcome to My garage is my race car. Alex says. I could see Raven gawking at her car almost as if he was in love with it. I wasn't the only one that noticed it Alex seemed to too and she asked. I didn't know you had a thing for cars Raven. I chuckle at that question it's obviously another obsession by the way he's looking at that car.
I fix cars as a hobby and a mechanic. Raven says. I do Wonder is that his real name it seems a little how do I say birdy. That's a quiet interesting hobby. I say chuckling. It's quite funny how she's a race car driver and her mate she just seems to be a mechanic. The world obviously has some funny ironic coincidences forming in this relationship I sense for me between the two of them.
Well I better get you guys to the watching point because I've got to get ready for race. Alex says. It's exciting to see her this way excited about a race. Do you mind if I ask to see how the car ? Raven asks Alex. She just nods and gets into the car. She shuts the door and starts the car and there's a weird clinking noise coming from the engine.
Alex jumps out of the car and pops the hood. It didn't do that a few weeks ago on my last race. And it's just been sitting here in the garage. Alex says. It's okay I'll take a look at it. Raven says. I just lean back on the truck watching the exchange between the two.
Raven goes to the trunk of the car and pops it and looks at the engine. Oh you just need some water you're out of water in the engine. It must evaporated over the few weeks then you'll be good to go. Ravens tells Alex.
Well I better get you two to the bleachers so you can watch the race. Alex says as she walks out of the garage and me and Raven follow behind her. We followed through the crowd of people. We come to the bleachers by the race track. Keeping the bleachers from the racetrack is a red ribbon.
All right I got to get back to my garage get ready for the race because they're going to be calling the racer soon. Alex says. Raven just nods. I'll be cheering you on from the bleachers you go girl. I say while I hug her.
She hugs me back before letting go and heading back to the garage. I turn around and sit on the bleachers and wait for the race to begin.

It's been a few minutes when the announcer starts to speak over the intercom. Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the annual anniversary race. Today is the day that this racing track was formed. Now welcome our racers. At the starting line we've got Lily Prescott also known as Jets, Jeffrey Carson known as the flying eagle, Paige Wilson known as speedy cheetah, last but not least Alex Rosanne also known as the queen of racing. The announcer speaks over the intercom.
I look ahead and see four cars lined up next to each other. There's Alex's racing car. Next to hers is a blue car with the poison apple from Snow White painted on the hood. Next to that one is a pink one two black stripes going horizontally on the hood. On the other side of Alex was a black car with the word Jets painted in red on the hood in bold.
For some reason my eyes are drawn to Jets car. I then rank my eyes overall the cars to see all of them have their nicknames written on them somewhere. The blue car had the word eagle under the poison apple. The pink car had cheetah in between the two lines. Alex's had Queen written on the hood with a crown above it.
Now that everybody has been introduced let's get this race started on your mark get set go. the man says over the intercom. And just like that the cars are speeding past us Alex and the lead Jets behind her. As the Jets car passes me I get a whiff of the smell I smelled earlier of apple and caramel.
As they go around the racetrack the guy with the red flag at the mile mark swings the flag around as each racer passes him. Alex is finally made it to her third mile before Jets passes her. It doesn't last long as Alex passes her again. They keep going at this until they both reach their fourth mile mark and Alex stays in the lead for a while.
The race coming to the end as Alex reaches her final mile. The race is over the moment Alex passes the finish line we all woo and cheer. The winner of today's annual race the queen. The announcer announces. The racers head back to their garages.
That was one awesome race. Raven tells me. I just no I did not thinking about the race at all but this amazing caramel and Apple that I got a whiff of every time Jets passed me. Yeah great race. I say still in a days.

Alex soon joins us on the bleachers and we talk about the race. It seems like hours until we get up and head back the way to the garage. Once we get to the garage I sit down in the chair by the cabinet. I'm going to go get Lily so you guys can meet her. Alex says. Yes I would like to meet those Jets she passed you quite a few times and you're always talking about her. I tell Alex. I can't wait to meet this Lily folk this is going to be quite interesting.
