"How could that happen?! I kept sending my wing signals, but she didn't at least react to them!!"
"We're still trying to know why, Archangel Uriel, but we still have no clue," an angel said worriedly but he almost fainted from fear when Uriel glared at him.
"Heavens!! I will go and help him!"
"Where do you think you're going?" Michael stopped her before she left her bedroom, she glared at him but he didn't flinch neither did he step aside.
"I need to help my child, Michael, so step aside if you're not planning to help me" she pushed his arm away but he stepped in front of her and caged her behind the wall disabling her from moving an inch, "Micha-"
"Don't you get it? The King of Demons did that on purpose" Uriel flinched and looked at Michael in horror and anger which was seeping from her eyes, her usual golden eyes turned to bloody red ambers with fire coming out of them.
That reaction wasn't because of what the Demons' King did, no! It was because of the fact Michael knew yet did nothing to stop that from happening. She brought out her wings and pushed Michael to the wall on the other side of the hall, she stepped on him warning him to not move from his place, and held her burning spear close to his throat, "why didn't you stop that from happening? Why?! You were the one who ordered us to protect him, and yet you didn't stop something like that?!?!"
"We don't have the right to change the orders of a human's life, and Hun right now is nothing but a human, you forgot? We took away everything a demon could do so he can repent and become a pure soul" Michael pushed the spear away from his throat and maintained eye contact with Uriel's flaming gems.
"B- Bu-"
"If God allows us, we can go and burn the planet down and the whole solar system, but since he didn't order us to intervene with a human's life, then we can do nothing. Unless you want to die, go ahead and do it" Uriel gasped and stepped away from Michael, she held her hair and squeezed it from frustration.
"Ha ha" she chuckled coldly, "I'm thankful God gave you and Gab the rationality I and Raphael miss, haha hhahahahaha" she held back her tears and walked back to her bedroom. She shut the door behind her and left Michael on the ground.
"Whoa, I couldn't believe my eyes when I witnessed the almighty Archangel Michael falling easily like that by Archangel Uriel~"
"Augh, shut it you piece of muscles"
"HA! You wish to have a quarter of what I got!" She stared at his muscles under the light fabric and the way he still glows even after being dragged into dust and dirt, and glared at him, "tsk, you good-looking motherfucker"
"I see humans have taught you a lot" he fixed his clothes and hair then turned back to Gab, the strong Archangel was still glaring at him but after she took a few steps away from him, "heh, it's good we won't be punished for saying such words!"
"Pray to not accidentally say it in front of God" Gabriel jolted and cold sweat formed on her forehead, she took big steps toward Michael and held his arm with pleading eyes, "you won't tell God, will you?"
"God already knows about that, he told me to tell you this so you can stay careful around him"
"What happened to the lil demon under Uriel's care? It took her too long to convince God to allow her to take care of him"
"The Demons' King is making a move. Luckily this time, it wasn't something serious"
"Did God inform you anything about what will happen to him?"
"No, he told me to let things work according to what's written in his scroll" Gabriel tsked and scratched her head in confusion, "if only we're allowed to read the scrolls"
"Humans' lives are none of our concern, we only protect them from the demons and not from their kind" Gabriel shivered and sighed before she walked away leaving the Archangel alone in the hallway. She didn't know what to say, but whatever was going to come out of her mouth, it will probably cost her her life.
"Hey, Michael?! You were able to stop Uriel from attacking you, so why didn't you do so?" They stared at each other for a while trying to get the answer they want but Michael didn't let her win, "hah, she took me by surprise"
"Lier-" Gabriel said coldly and glared at him, he glared back at her but he was speechless, he didn't know how to reply back to her, "next time you plan to lie, warrior angel, find better lines instead of denying the obvious. And let me pin this in your head, we are Archangels, so avoid anything under the category of sins."
Hun remained in his room for the next week, Uriel's wing kept coming by to check on him in the early morning and before going to sleep. Luckily, no one was allowed to come near his room because, "she's sick" that's what the wing told everyone, so they wished for her speedy recovery and prayed she will get better soon so she can join them in their fun morning routine.
As for the priest, he kept going with his routine days and nights but he would peek every night into the praying room hoping to see the angel-like sister, Sister Oriana, but she wasn't there and that hurt him a lot.
He didn't only ruin her mentally but also ruined her peaceful time in that huge room where she would look the happiest, "I'm really sorry Sister Oriana" he mumbled before he shut the door and go back to the garden to keep practicing.
"What?! He's leaving?!"
"Yes, it seems he had sent a message to Archangel Michael's temple requesting his return since everything went smoothly in the past week" Hun stared at the bowl of warm vegetables with chicken breast soup and thought, "was it because of me?" He asked worriedly.
The wing chuckled and patted his head, "no, so don't worry your pretty head about that. He was supposed to return after the donation day, but he stayed a bit longer to confirm our protection. He even went as far as to surround the place with a shield in case something happens, he can teleport here fast!"
Hun's sparkling eyes made the wing giggle and hug him, "everything will be ok, so don't worry and go back to your usual life, ok?"
"Ok, thank you so much" he hugged her back.
