"No...no...no-no-no. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ME, YOU DEVIL!" A wounded soldier started backing up quickly while shooting blindly in front of him with his assault rifle. He pressed his back against a wrecked tank while looking at a dark silhouette with neon-red eyes.
"Locked. On."
"Please...I-I have a family!" The silhouette raised his weapon before shooting multiple times at the wounded soldier.
The silhouette turned its head to the other direction quickly before his vision slipped back into the real world. Staring at his desk while sitting up on his bed as the sun's rays hit the curtains.
His eyes began to slip into a blue vector background with his name labeled at the top left corner. Wally Maverick. He began checking today's temperature in his vision before slipping back to reality.
Wally got off his bed and opened the curtains to look out the window with his reflection off to the side. Showing off his shiny black hair and his brown eyes. He closed the curtains and walked towards his kitchen.
Wally lived in a studio apartment with only a few furniture for his needs, such as a small dining table, couch, TV, desk with a PC setup, etc. Or what humans need.
He's just doing what everyone is doing. Wally is not a human being so he opened his fridge and closed it. Wally is a high-tech android. His appearance is one hundred percent accurate human-like. In the inside, it's just parts and parts. The only two realistic man-made organs he has are his stomach and his heart.
Thanks to the engineers to build such a highly-tech android. Wally sighed and smacked his face when he began thinking about his design's purpose.
He got dressed in a casual clothing style and head out.
Short story, Wally Maverick is an android who served the country. He put his hood on and continue walking forward.
Everyone has a secret. It can be a good or bad thing, depending on the people's perspective once the secret is out. Wally didn't want his secrets to be revealed. Not to his neighbor. Not to the police. Not to the government. Not to the whole damn world after all the things he went through.
The people who are going to find him first and his identity would be the military and the government. Wally took every precaution everywhere he goes and had to put his hoodie on if he was near anyone working with the government. The question is do they know him at first glance?
Then, a scream broke his train of thought as he walked towards a view of the gas station. People were fleeing away from the station. Tripping and struggling to stand up as they ran away from danger.
Wally slipped out of reality and began peeking into the security camera and corrupting the SD cards. There was a gunman, holding a female hostage in front of the armed cashier, demanding money. Wally slipped back to reality and hid in the alleyway before sitting down and viewing from the security camera.
"GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY RIGHT NOW OR I WILL SHOOT THIS GIRL'S HEAD OFF!"
The cashier didn't know what to do and lowered his shotgun as the gunman defeated him mentally. The female desperately use all her strength to free herself from the robber's arms, but she couldn't when he kept poking her purple hair with his gun roughly.
"Gunman, lower your weapon" the TV spoke, spooking the gunman as he shot the television.
"W-WHO'S THERE?!"
"You don't need to worry about that." His phone spoke. "Lower your weapon. I will give you money instead."
"How am I supposed to believe that when you are doing some creepy shit?!" The gunman pulled out his phone. "Are you a ghost haunting this place? Or are you a hacker?"
"What if I say both" a sidewalk sweeper robot spoke from the front door. The gunman screams and empties his clip into the robot. He threw his phone to the ground and began stomping on it.
"WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!"
"How many times do I have to tell you to drop your weapon" his watch spoke. The criminal gasped dryly as he saw a devil emoji on his watch screen. "Do you really want to meet me in person that badly? That is a really poor choice in life."
He let go of the hostage and run out of the store, screaming his head off from the "haunted place" until he got rammed by another sidewalk sweeper robot. He hit his head on the ground and knocked him out during the process. Wally peaked over from the alleyway as the robot started sweeping the trash around his body before proceeding down the sidewalk.
He walked out of the alley before bumping into the girl who was held hostage. She fell over and got stunned from hitting something really hard.
"Are you okay, mam?" He asked, reaching his hand out. The girl yanked his arm and zoomed down the street as Wally's body let him be dragged by her despite being a robot. Wally does not mind being dragged because he didn't want her to find out about his inhuman capabilities.
"Do-you-have-your-phone? We-need-the-police-to-get-here-and-I-need-to-call-my-parents-"
"Slow down. Everything's okay. He's just knocked out, and I already called the police."
"Can I call my parents, please? I'm scared." Wally smiled sheepishly and gave her his phone as she began dialing rapidly before crying at her parents on his phone. Wally leaned against the wall and can't help himself but shoot glances at the traumatized girl with brown eyes.
'Have I met or seen her before? Probably at school.'
He then heard sirens getting closer and closer to the crime scene before looking around the corner to see the police officers arresting him. His eyes locked onto the clerk who was talking to one of the officers. The only possible answer for any eyewitnesses can give in this situation is a hacker stopping the robbery.
No one is not going to find the truth in this crime because an android who is capable of manipulating technology is the very last thing that will be left in their mind.
"Thank you so much!" Wally blinked and looked over at the familiar girl who was giving his phone back.
"No problem. Have a nice day." Wally began walking back to his place while waving his hand without looking at her. He looked at her through one of the surveillance cameras and faded back to reality. There's a fifty-fifty chance that she would remember him.
He rarely interacts with students at school for social life and only works for group work. Wally looked at the time from his vision and decided that his night walk is done and get ready for school tomorrow morning.
