When I woke up, there was nothing but sand around me. The scorching sun was beating down on my mane as I tried to get my bearings. My whole body was shaking and the only thing I could remember was that I should have protected the Oracle.
'Please let this just be a bad dream,' I begged in my mind, even though I was already aware of the truth.
As I wandered through the desert in search of the city of Goltan, which I believed was so large that you could always see it no matter where you were, I hunted animals using nothing but my claws and teeth. No matter how many times I strengthened myself through food, my strength diminished with each day without drinking anything and even the blood of the animals could not quench my thirst. Oh, and thankfully I had a bottle of water with me, which helped for the first three days - then the water was gone.
It was a really crappy situation that I was in. By the way, blood is an extremely poor substitute for water and every time I tried to use it as such I would spit it out again, only to make the same mistake a few hours later.
Then, maybe 8 days later, I suddenly smelled fresh water and even heard it splashing.
Gigantic plants appeared in front of my line of sight as I advanced - it was a forest, I learned later. Maybe I had seen this in records before, as I had never been outside of Goltan and the surrounding area, but I instinctively knew that if I didn't go in there now, I would die.
It turned out to be a good decision, as a small stream flowed right at the edge of the forest.
Dry lips and insatiable thirst tempted me to quickly throw myself greedily into the stream with my whole body and bump my head on a rock. Ignoring the headache, I drank the soothing wet goods.
"For a fish, he looks pretty big and hairy." some spoke and meant me.
"Hell! I'm not a fish, you can see that I'm a Suhnshi!" I complained, now filled with new energy.
This frightened this cheeky crowd, but not for long, as one of the two came closer to me and asked:
"Is there a fish version of you?"
And I don't know why, but I found it funny and had to laugh out loud. But apparently the two - who actually looked really funny, like shadows without faces with huge mouths without lips - took my laughter differently and started waving their arms, screaming and spinning in a circle.
"HELP! HELP! He wants to eat us!" the fools panicked and apparently forgot that they were easily three times as big as I was.
"Not today," I joked, still amused, as I wiped the tears from my fur.
I then stood up and walked out of the stream. Only to get one of the long, frantically waving arms in the face. I winced in pain and cursed:
"Dammit, watch out, I don't want to eat you, you idiots!"
"Yes, they all say that and then they're on the hunt," the two of them mistrusted me and finally stopped panicking freely. "Oh, please giant monster from hell... don't eat us."
"One more time for taking notes: I am a sunshi and nothing else! You guys are the giants here if anything!" I tried my luck so I wouldn't have to listen to the stupid nonsense about me anymore - without success.
"Kael, the monster wants to lure us into its trap and eat us! AAAAAAAAHHHH"
This was too stupid for me and I left the two of them.

"What happened then?" interrupted Quincy Adán, who was still talking.
He rolled his eyes and continued:
