After a few minutes, R.O.B finally seemed to have made a decision, "Sigh…alright, I can only do this now, hmm…there is no other option after all", muttered R.O.B, seemingly deep into his thoughts.
"So, are you going to send me to another world along with some powers?", asked Jay as his mood visibly brightened. After all, it's every otaku's wet dream to experience this cliché situation.
"No", answered R.O.B, with his usual chill and calm tone, not giving a fuck about Jay, whose face had already blackened.
"Damn it! Would it kill you to agree with me once?", he cursed.
"So, I'm not going to be Isekai'd, huh, give me back my feelings", Jay sighed, feeling frustrated.
"Yes. I can't send you another world but I can send you back the world like that of yours", R.O.B said.
"Huh? Don't you guys generally say that you can't send the souls back to their world?", Jay was bewildered as he thought about what he read in all those novels, back on earth.
"Not exactly, generally those foolish mortals ask to be sent back to their original world which is not possible but the thing that's possible, is to replace their other 'self' from the parallel universe with them. There are infinite parallel worlds that are almost identical to your original world with some insignificant differences. These are the worlds that are responsible for the phenomenon what you mortals call 'The Mandela Effect'", R.O.B explained.
Hearing this, Jay couldn't help but say," Damn! That's so sneaky, turns out, it's all about the correct wordings".
R.O.B ignored what Jay said and continued," That's not all, because of your special situation, instead of giving the usual 3 wishes, I will only grant you one of your wishes, as for the rest two, you will be given two abilities based on the life you lived till now. Also, given that the world is that of the mortals, your wish can't be something that surpasses the reality itself, or else it could lead to unnecessary troubles in that world".
'Wish that don't surpass the reality, huh', Jay mumbled.
"So, what will be your wish, mortal?"
Finally, the moment had come, without giving it a second thought, Jay said," Immunity, give me the ability to make myself immune to everything I want".
He had read enough novels to know, that no matter what freaking power Main Character asks for, there is always some murderhobo that can beat his ass.
Not to mention, it limits the fields where MC could use his powers, so instead of the attack, he'd rather wish for the best defense, at least, he will be safe in most of the cases, not to mention, the god complex that comes with a powerful ability.
Jay shuddered at the thought of how those main characters become emotionless young masters once they get their powers. He'd rather avoid such a situation.
[A/N: Jay is lazy and cowardly ass, who hates trouble, so he chose this power instead]
"Oh, Immunity huh, Interesting. Hmm…But that's too wide range, not to mention it will make you immortal which defies your reality, let me give you the toned-down version of it, something that doesn't break the laws of the reality of your world", R.O.B said after giving it some thought.
"As for the next two abilities, place your hand on this orb, you will receive them based on all your life experiences till now", R.O.B said as a football-sized Orb suddenly appeared in the void.
The Orb was made completely out of glass and shrouded with what appears to be a sort of fog, making it impossible to see what mysteries lie inside it. Seeing the orb that was floating in the void, Jay stepped near it curiously, wondering what abilities could he get.
"Let's see what my life experience gives me", Jay said as he took a deep breath, and touched the smooth surface of the Orb.
'Wait! Does 'based on life experiences' mean I might get an ability like 'Mighty Left hand' or something like that? Shit! I hope I get something good', he thought.
The moment Jay touched the Orb, the fog inside it began to shine and it started to rotate and twist with rapid succession, he could see his entire life passing in it as if someone had pressed the fast forward button.
Finally, after a few seconds, it stopped and the light began to fade away.
Jay blinked his eyes, waiting for any change that might happen when suddenly, he felt a relaxing feeling passing throughout his body. He felt a sense of euphoria, so much so, that he almost fell asleep.
"Phew, that was amazing", Jay groaned with a toothy grin.
"So, what ability did you gain?", R.O.B asked curiously.
"Hmm, it says 'Perfection' and 'Drawing'", Jay said while concentrating with his eyes closed.
'Sigh…although it isn't bad considering I like drawings, it is also not too good either. But something is better than nothing, I guess. Moreover, looking at the brighter side, I also didn't get any weird skills. I can at least make money by selling my drawings.
'Also, what does the perfection skill even do? Make me more perfect? Let's see that later'.
"Looks like you are satisfied with your abilities", R.O.B commented.
Hearing this, Jay was brought out of his thought process.
"Yeah, it's not bad", Jay nodded.
"Hmm…Alright, now that everything is settled, I can finally rest, mort -", but before he could say any further, Jay interrupted him.
"Umm…If possible, can you give me the status window or something like AI that can manage and show my skills, it doesn't need to have quest and shop things", Jay asked.
He felt it would be a lot more organized if he could see his abilities in the status window, after all, even though it's just a status screen, no otaku would deny it. That's something that only those who experienced the law of animes, can comprehend.
"As long as it is a status screen, it won't be a problem", R.O.B nodded.
"Alright it's done, now off you go, I hope you can live your life to the fullest this time. Oh and by the way, you will forget the entire conversation that happened here", R.O.B said as Jay was assaulted by that feeling of being constricted again.
Before Jay disappeared, he only had one thought in his mind, 'Aren't you raising the flag there'.

(General P.O.V)
Jay woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside his window. As he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, he realized that something was different. The room he was in was unfamiliar and the objects in it were strange and foreign.
"Where am I?", Jay thought out aloud out aloud, which felt weirdly nostalgic.
He stumbled out of bed, still groggy, and stumbled to the window. What he saw outside confirmed that he isn't at his home.
Before he could think any further, he felt a strange feeling in his head, as if his head is swelling and bulging like a balloon and will soon burst. Fortunately, it only lasted for a while, before a new and unfamiliar set of memories started appearing in his head.
He was in a completely different world, or rather, one that was both similar and yet slightly different from his own.
"So it's all true, huh, It wasn't just a dream, I really am in a parallel world", Jay couldn't help but sigh.
Jay was in a parallel universe, a reality that existed alongside his own but with its own unique set of circumstances and outcomes. He felt a mix of fear and excitement as he took in his new surroundings. Everything was just slightly off, but it was enough to make him feel like he was in a dream.
