"Yes, Sir."
There were 6 people in total in my group. My group was division 3. There were 7 divisions in total. The group is set up in different jobs. 6 different jobs for 6 different people.
1st was the Leader - They called the shots.
2nd was the Scout - There were 2 of them, and they traveled ahead of the group to test for traps or see if there is any danger around.
3rd was the Medic - They come from the doctor division and 1 travel with any group to help with injuries or survivors.
4th were the Guards - They came along as protection. Everyone in the group had simple pistols, but the guards carried ARs and other heavy weaponry. There were also 2 of them.
The leader of our group was Frank. He was an old man with short gray hair. He had a very muscular build and smoked a cigar.
I was a scout. My partner's name was Nora. She was short, with long black hair, and was pretty cute.
We were about to leave base soon. I was lying in my bed, nervous about my first mission. I had just woken up in a strange and destroyed world, I was told of all the dangers out there now but had only seen the walkers. Was I even ready to face the dangers out there?
"Hey, Shoro, whatcha doing."
Mias' voice surprised me.
"Just thinking,"
"Well, you look pretty sad, and I wanted to cheer you up,"
"Thanks, I'm just worried about the mission,"
"No need to worry, I was nervous the first time, but I got used to it, and now it's just normal."
"Thanks, I'm gonna try my hardest not to be nervous,"
"If anything bad happens, I'll make sure to protect you,"
She left right after saying that.
I packed my bag and left my room heading toward the front of the town. My whole team was waiting at the truck. Mia was the Medic for our team. She was wearing a white and red jacket and caring a big backpack. The guards' names were Zack and Henry. They wore bullet-proof vests and helmets.
Zack was tall with short black hair and had a scar across his face from forehead to mouth.
Henry was still tall but shorter than Zack and had short brown hair and was very skinny.
"Let's welcome our new recruit, everyone," Frank yelled right when I got in an eyeshot.
They all clapped, and everyone got in the truck. Frank was in the front driving. Mia was in the back with Zack. Henry was in the passenger seat. Nora and I were in the back seats.
"OK, everyone ready?"
Before I could answer, Frank pushed the gas, and we sped off into the open wasteland.
