"Sir, the emissaries from the holy kingdom has arrived."
A guard reported to Jarrett. Jarrett immediately stand up from his chair. He quickly went to meet the emissary from the holy kingdom.
Even though holy kingdom was now weaken by demons, it was still many times stronger than merchant kingdom. He didn't dare to look down on them.
In the manor,
Kalisa was waiting for the merchant association. Beside her was the emissary and knights. She was talking with them.
"Thanks to lady Kalisa we have successfully arrived at the merchant kingdom."
The emissary and knights express their gratitude to Kalisa.
Kalisa smiles warmly back them.
"Don't mention it. It was my job after all."
The beautiful smile makes the others feel extreme affection and respect.
At that time, a guard came in and said.
"Esteemed guests, the leader of the merchant association has arrived."
The emissary and knights stood up and greet Jarrett. Kalisa also stand up and took at look at Jarrett. He was a tall man who was letting out his nice smile.
Being a merchant as well as thr leader of a kingdom made him good with words and people. Jarrett was experience in dealing with many difficult matters.
"Welcome to merchant kingdom. Can I asks the reason of your trip to this kingdom. And this person is..."
Jarrett notices a beautiful maiden. She looks like a divine maiden. Jarrett guess she was high ranking maiden in the holy kingdom.
But he never seen her before. As a leader of the merchant kingdom, he always look into the holy kingdom officials. But this is the first time he sees Kalisa.
"This is lady Kalisa. A great archmage of our holy kingdom."
The emissary smiles and said proudly. Jarrett's pupils shrunk. An archmage. That is an existence that only a few humans can get. They are even stronger than normal angels or demons. How did he not know of her before.
Jarrett put aside his numerous questions in his mind and greets Kalisa.
"Its nice to meet you lady Kalisa. I am the leader of the merchant association, Jarrett."
Kalisa smiles back. The smile seems warm that any men would fall for her. Even Jarrett that has great experience was dazed in her beauty for a while. But he quickly regain his consciousness.
"The reason for us to come here is to ask help from the merchant kingdom and the other kingdoms to unite against the demons.
As you all know the demons are rampaging the holy kingdom but after that they will surely come after you. Help us fight the demons and purge the evil and defend the humanity with us."
The emissary of the holy kingdom said enthusiastically. His words are full of passion. As an emissary, his words had the power to incite people minds and motivate them.
Jarrett frown a little. It was a reasonable claim. The demons will likely attack them if the holy kingdom destroyed.
But the problem is they don't have enough power. The merchant kingdom is very weak compared to other kingdoms. Their only strong point is financial power.
But money won't fight for them. They can hire mercenaries but they won't be loyal and if dangerous, the mercenaries will only run away from the fight.
Jarrett was very troubled. He wants to maintain a good relationship with holy kingdom. But the price to pay for is quite big.
"Are the the other kingdoms know about this."
He asked to the emissary.
"No, we only arrived here. We planed to go to them after your kingdom."
The emissary answered back.
"Then I'll inform them. Please wait here and make yourself at home. We will hold a meeting with the alliance and the other kingdoms."
Jarrett said and left. He intentionally evaded the question. He wants to see the other kingdoms decision first before he makes his.
