Chapter 54 - [3.8] New Club Room

Radit had previously taken the key from the club building's security guard. After taking it and returning to the club room, he met someone standing in front of the club room.

"Hm... you?" said Radit.

"Ah, Radit, I haven't seen you for a month," said the student.

"Daniel, you're still alive! You've been missing since the incident," said Radit.

"Yes, there were a lot of problems at the time," Daniel said, somewhat reluctant to answer the truth.

"Ah... it's not good to talk standing here, let's go in first," said Radit.

Radit opened the door to his new club room and saw his new club room.

"Hm... nothing special, a little more spacious, but why so many sofas? Well, never mind. Come on in, Daniel," Radit said, and Daniel also came in and sat on the sofa.

"Where are the other members?" said Daniel.

"Others may still be in class, but I'm here with Raka," said Radit.

"Where is he now?" said Daniel.

"He's walking around this building," said Radit.

"I see," Daniel said.

And the conversation ends, they stop talking right there and it becomes a very awkward situation.

"Crazy, it's so awkward. Why is he so quiet now? He usually talks a lot. Raka, come back quickly," Radit said to himself.

Radit's wish came true. Raka had arrived at the club room.

"Radit, I'm coming," Raka said as he opened the door.

Raka saw another student sitting near Radit in the room.

"Oh, hi, Raka," Daniel said.

"Oh... it's Daniel! Long time no see, almost 2 months to be exact," said Radit.

"Hm... yes," Daniel said, somewhat awkwardly.

"Hmm? What's wrong with you? Is there a problem?" Raka said, then looked at Radit to find out what was really going on with a face code.

But Radit replied to the code with an answer that he didn't know either.

"Sorry for earlier, I didn't answer your messages or calls. The situation at that time was very unstable," Daniel said.

"Tell me, we'll both listen. Don't keep it to yourself, it's not good. What happened during the incident?" said Radit.

"Yes... first, now I live alone," Daniel said.

"Live alone? What do you mean?" said Raka.

"Like I said, I live alone now. All my family is dead," Daniel said. Hearing the words that came out of him made Raka and Radit very surprised by the news.

"What about you? Where do you live and with whom?" said Radit.

"Now that I live in a lower-middle class area, the government has created a new orphanage there. So I've been there for some time," Daniel said.

"What about your relatives, is there no one to contact?" said Radit.

"My family is not a big family, but I have contacted the people closest to my parents, but no one picks up," Daniel said.

Hearing that made Raka and Radit feel even more sorry for Daniel because he was now alone. People who were once carefree can change quickly due to the tragedy.

Daniel himself was not a member of the Helper's club and he was a member of the swimming club, but not so active and present in his club. However, he stopped by the club room quite often to relax.

The atmosphere in the room was getting awkward and gloomy from hearing such bad news. However, someone arrived in the club room and refreshed the atmosphere.

The door opened, everyone in the room looked at the door.

"Hm... I just arrived, but what's the gloomy atmosphere?" said Steven.

"Since they were silent, I should just leave," Steven said.

"Woi-woi, wait, see the situation first," said Raka.

"I've seen it, that's why I'm leaving," said Steven.

"You have to cheer up the atmosphere, not run away," said Raka.

And finally Steven was dragged into the club room.

"Hm... I hate you all," Steven said.

"You're too honest," said Radit.

"So what's the problem?" said Steven.

Raka wanted to tell the story but asked Daniel first whether he wanted to tell the story to others or not, and Daniel agreed.

Raka also explained the sad story to Steven.

"So that's it, then let's just play the game," Steven said.

"Huh? Did you hear that? I told you," Raka said, somewhat annoyed.

"I hear you, that's exactly it, let's play games and forget about the sad and gloomy things. Everyone has bad luck and if we experience it, we should make the next days more fun. But don't forget the bad days too," said Steven.

Daniel, Radit, and Raka were a little impressed by Steven's words of wisdom.

"It's cool that you can say those wise words," said Raka.

"Yeah, it's just a similar true story from people I've heard," Steven said.

"Stop talking, let's play games in fours, this club now has the latest consoles. The school facilities are cool too," Steven said, looking around at the games available.

Seeing Steven made Daniel, Radit, and Raka laugh a little, and the four of them played console games together to forget the bad stuff.

After about 30 minutes more of playing, Raka realized his goal for the day.

"Ah... yes, I forgot why I was playing here," said Raka.

"What's wrong, Raka?" said Radit.

"We were supposed to go around the school, but instead we played games here," said Raka.

"Never mind, just stay here, it's hot outside too," said Radit.

"No, this is my mission today!" said Raka with enthusiasm.

"Let him be, Radit," Steven said.

"Come on, Radit, let's go again," said Raka.

"Ekh..." said Radit, who was reluctant to leave the cold place.

"You too, Daniel, let's see this new place," Raka said.

"I wasn't invited either?" said Steven.

"Do you really want to?" said Raka.

"Not really, what's the point?" said Steven.

"Yes, that means no need," said Raka.

When I wanted to leave, the club room door opened and someone came in.

"Hello everyone, Amel is here," Amelia said as she entered the club room, followed by Hana and Laras.

"You're coming too," Steven said.

"Woah, the room is really cold, now we have air conditioning," Amelia said.

"Hana, look at our room, we now have three long sofas," said Laras.

"Why are there so many sofas and chairs now?" Hana said.

"What are the four of you doing?" said Amelia.

"Playing console games and now going out again," said Radit.

"Uh, our club room has a game console?" said Hana.

"It's really complete. TV, table, bench, blackboard, sofa, cupboard. Wait, there's a mini fridge?" said a surprised Laras and checked the contents.

"Our club room feels like home now, is this Leo's doing?" said Amelia.

Amelia was glancing at the new objects in the club room and only then did she realize that Daniel was there.

"Daniel! I haven't seen you in a while, why haven't you replied to my messages?" said Amelia.

"Ah, hm... yes, sorry for not replying, I was in trouble," Daniel said.

"What's that about?" said Amelia, and Hana heard that with some interest.

Raka saw that Daniel seemed reluctant to tell the women, so he immediately stopped him.

"Hey, Daniel, Radit, come on out, we're going now," Raka said, dragging Daniel and Radit by the hand.

"Hey, wait, he hasn't answered my question yet," Amelia said, but Raka dragged Daniel and Radit out and closed the door to the club room.

"Ih, you bastard," said an exasperated Amelia, and the men in the club room were left with only Steven.

"Uh, shit, now I'm alone," Steven said.

"Hey, you know what?" Amelia said to Steven, still curious.

Steven was surprised when he heard the question, and was confused whether to say it or not, because Raka himself avoided questions from Amelia.

"Hm... I don't know? I just arrived, saw the console, I played it right away," said Steven. "Really?" said Amelia.

"Hm..." stared Amelia.

Steven tried not to look Amelia in the eye and just focused on the game screen. "Ok, forget it," Amelia said.

Inwardly, Steven was relieved that Amelia had stopped asking about it.

"Well, thank God we made it out," said Raka.

"Why do you want to leave so quickly?" said Radit.

"Well, I saw that Daniel was reluctant to talk about his personal problems with the women, so I asked you to come out quickly," said Raka.

"Thank you," Daniel said.

Raka just looked at Daniel happily.

"You're welcome," said Radit.

"Hey, thanks for that," Raka said with a straight face.

"Oh, I see, anyway you didn't reply, so I represented you," said Radit.

"By the way, where are we going now?" said Daniel.

"Hm... where to? Radit, where would you like to go?" said Raka.

"Hm... then let's see the dormitory building, I'm curious. At the ceremony it was mentioned that we can stay overnight at school and the dormitory system is already in place," said Radit.

"Oh, that's right. Now, let's go there," said Raka.
