Chapter 43 - [2.22] Break

A beautiful city, Seranjana. An ordinary town, nothing special here. It is in the Kelangan region, which is an area of vast grasslands and very cool breezes. This vast area is often used as a place to picnic and relax, to lie under the clouds with few trees. Perhaps this is the special thing for the locals.

However, due to the events that befell this world, this area became a terrible place. Vast grasslands burned, smoke rose everywhere, and it became a gathering place for new lifeforms. Adults or researchers call it an anomaly, but the youth, adventure game maniacs to be precise, call it a monster, as most games do and it's more popular.

More than a month has passed since the incident, and people are starting to recover. Rebuilding the city they loved and protecting it.

Radit and the others continue to train to strengthen their strength, as well as other people. They all realize that the world they now live in is not the same as before. Danger always lurks around them anytime and anywhere.

That's because the people and governments of the world were shocked and hit hard by the large-scale monster attacks that appeared suddenly after the incident.

Countries are collapsing and becoming hotbeds of monsters, the world's military forces are dwindling and Terra's satellite, Tritan, is experiencing a tremendous crisis. They have to maintain power supply, food and defend against monster attacks with a shortage of military forces.

A peaceful morning. The loud alarm from Radit's smartphone woke Raka up.

"Hoi-hoi, turn it off." said Raka trying to wake Radit who was still sleeping, even the alarm sound beside his bed was not heard.

Because Radit didn't wake up, Raka threw his bolster pillow at Radit and it managed to wake him up.

"Huh, what's wrong, Raka?" said Radit, who was still half awake.

"Turn off the alarm, it's noisy." said Raka.

Radit took his cell phone and turned off the alarm, and saw that it was already 7am.

"Hoam... it's already 7 o'clock." Radit said. He sat down for a while after that, then he went to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth.

10 minutes passed, Radit saw Raka who had not gotten up from his bed and his face was covered by the blanket, as if he did not want to be woken up.

Seeing that, Radit immediately opened the curtains to let light into the room and Radit pulled the blanket covering his face.

"Oi, wake up! It's noon!" said Radit.

"Akh... glare, close the curtains." said Raka.

"Wake up, it's noon, it's time to eat. I'll take a shower first," said Radit.

"Yes, go first, I'll be later." said Raka, hearing that Radit immediately took a shower.

20 minutes passed, Radit had finished bathing and cleaning up. "Raka, I'll go to the dining room first, take a quick shower, later breakfast time will pass." Radit said.

Raka got up from the bed and sat down. "Yes... go ahead." she said.

Radit closed the door and headed for the dining room. Some time later, Raka arrived at the dining room where Hana, Laras, Leonardo, Steven, and Jiyan were.

"Oh, Radit, you're awake." said Jiyan.

"Morning, Jiyan." Radit said, sitting down next to him.

"How are you, Radit? Is it better?" said Leonardo.

"Yes, it's just that I'm very hungry right now." said Radit.

"Ah... then this fried rice won't be enough for you. Waiter, give the menu to Radit." Leonardo said.

"Yes, sir." said one of the servants standing in the room.

"I'm troubling you." Radit said, feeling reluctant.

"Just relax, it's like we just met. Look at Steven, he's just normal after a long sleep too." Leonardo said.

"You too, Steven?!" said Radit.

Steven didn't say anything back as he was chewing his food, but he just gave a thumbs up in return.

"Sir, please choose the menu," said the waiter who handed me the menu book.

"Oh... yes, yes," Radit said, picking up his menu book and looking at it; shortly after he finished choosing.

"Then just this chicken fillet and drink ice orange," Radit said while pointing at the menu.

"Yes sir, please wait," said the waiter.

"Radit, are you really better?" Hana said still a little worried.

"I'm perfectly healthy, look at my muscles," Radit said jokingly.

"Radit, you don't even have muscles, don't show off your skinny body," Jiyan said while drinking coffee.

"You're a nag," said Radit.

Some time later, the chicken fillet Radit ordered finally arrived.

"Sir, this is what you ordered, please enjoy," said the waiter who delivered the food.

"Oh this must be delicious," said Radit.

While Radit was eating it, Fauzan, Gilbert and Amelia arrived in the dining room.

"That's Radit, how are you? Are you feeling better?" said Gilbert.

Radit, who was chewing food, only gave a thumbs-up response.

"Good, you had us worried yesterday," Gilbert said, taking a seat at the dining table with the others who had just arrived.

"This is the breakfast menu this morning," said the waiter, bringing the food to Amelia, Fauzan and Gilbert.

"Oh... that was quick, thank you," said Gilbert.

Shortly after, Britta and Raka arrived and ate breakfast together. When they were all done eating, they talked about something important.

They had all gathered, and Laras began to discuss a very important matter with a serious look.

"Guys, I have important and urgent news," Laras said.

"What's going on, why so tense?" said Steven.

"What's wrong Laras, what's so important?" said a curious Hana.

"It's so important that we almost forgot about it," says Laras.

Radit and the others were very confused and looked at each other.

"Radit, what did we forget?" said Raka.

"How did I know, we forgot to practice?" said Radit, who was also confused.

"Laras, tell me quickly what's so important?" said Britta.

"Listen carefully," Laras said, starting to explain and the others looked seriously at Laras.

"We're going back to school in two weeks!" said Laras, much to the surprise of the others.

"It's just school anyway, I thought we were discussing something important," Steven said.

"This is important!" said Laras.

"How long have we been off?" said Jiyan.

"I don't know," said Gilbert.

"We've been out of school for over a month now," said Leonardo.

"Uh, seriously, has it been a month?" said Jiyan.

"It feels like a month off, and suddenly I heard the news," said Radit.

"I thought school was a myth," says Raka, jokingly.

"You're lazy," Hana said to Raka.

"Was the school not destroyed by the incident?" said Amelia.

"The school was destroyed and flattened to the ground, but now it has been rebuilt even better," Leonardo said.

"Hey, how did you know?" said Raka, curious.

"Because the family company sponsored the school and rebuilt it," Leonardo says, a little smugly.

"Cih, basic. That's just arrogant," said Raka.

"It's okay to show off once in a while," Leonardo told Raka.

"Watch out, I'll show you my arrogance one day," said Raka.

"Hehehe... I left that incident behind," Leonardo said.

On that peaceful day, they talked and joked with each other.

But in conversations with his friends until he entered school, he always thought about his dreams and there were words that could not be forgotten and told to his friends in the dream.

"Remember and take care of those closest to you."

What does that mean? Do you know? Does anyone here know?
