Many, many years after the events of the Centurion Army arc, a lot happens. Baezel, Radichio and Gangal all grow up. Gangal ends up leaning more towards the ideology of Pepkorn rather than Baezel, which causes a falling-out. Baezel goes on a journey across the world - even the afterlife - for self-discovery, becoming stronger, meeting new people, and eventually meeting Dana, the love of his life. She was a rather beautiful woman, with lightly tanned skin, dark brown hair, and cute blue eyes. They met each other after the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, and started to chat with each other. They discovered that they both had parental figures they weren't too fond of, and they both enjoyed martial arts - though Baezel obviously enjoyed it more.
Eventually, after a year or two of dating, one thing led to another, and they ended up marrying each other. Lemogras, their son, was born some time later. In this time, Baezel requested another visit to Other World to run across the Serpentine Road again, so that he could train with his new techniques more. Time passed by, and Age 756 dawned upon the world. The day of the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. It seemed to have the staples of a Budokai in it - Baezel vs Radichio, Pepkorn vs Gangal, the whole nine yards.
Then, at the final round of the 23rd Budokai, where Pepkorn and Gangal had returned - that moment happened. In an act of desperation to try and break Baezel's spirit (who was on the floor and not in the best shape) before beating him down, Pepkorn kneeled down to Baezel's level, and he whispered to him in his ear, "Wanna know a little somethin'? It was me, bitch. It was me that ended your father's life, the one that forced your mother to give birth to your brother. I did it all! And now, you're going to get to see it again!" He cackled, and fired a ki blast at Dana and the 3-year-old Lemogras, which the now-infuriated Baezel intercepted with his own ki blast. Thank God that it worked, and it exploded before it could hit his wife and child. But this was enough to infuriate Baezel beyond belief. How dare his father attempt to do such a thing!
The bruised and beaten Saiyan warrior stood up, his fists clenched and his hair rising. Scared of what could happen, Pepkorn kicked Baezel in the back, knocking him down and making him skid on the arena. Baezel stood up and faced him, head down and his hair spiked. A yellow pillar of light erupted from Baezel's body, as he screamed in fury. The sky seemed to darken with this new transformation. This was no Kaioken - what could this have been?! The characters have no idea what this is, but if you're a Dragon Ball fan worth a damn, I don't need to explain what just happened. Baezel became a Super Saiyan, motivated by Pepkorn trying to kill his new family.
"I'm not going to tolerate your continued existence in my presence anymore, Pepkorn. ππππ ππππ ππ ππ!" he screamed. The crowd gasped, and Pepkorn stared at Baezel, wide-eyed in fear. He then smirked, going into a battle stance. His purple aura flared, indicating that once again, he was using 100% of his power. "Finally! You better give me a proper fight, now that we're in round 2."
"Proper fight? Don't make me laugh," Baezel confidently said. His aura burst forth, and from the moment the fight began, Baezel's overwhelming strength was evident. Baezel's fury, speed and raw power were unmatched, and Pepkorn's attempts to fight back were futile. He effortlessly dodged every punch and kick Pepkorn threw at him, his movements swift and precise. It was as if he could see into the future, predicting Pepkorn's every move before it happened.
Pepkorn's relentless barrage of ki discs and Death Beams proved equally useless. Each energy blast dissipated harmlessly upon contact with Baezel's golden aura. It was clear that Baezel's Super Saiyan form had elevated him to a level far beyond Pepkorn's comprehension.
With each passing moment, Pepkorn's confidence waned, and fear began to take its place. He had underestimated Baezel's power, and now he paid the price. Baezel's fists struck like lightning, delivering bone-shattering blows that left Pepkorn gasping for breath.
With a roar that shook the heavens, Baezel unleashed his full power. He grabbed Pepkorn by the arm and flung him into the air, propelling himself skyward to meet him head-on. The world watched in awe as the Super Saiyan and the wicked fighter clashed high above the arena.
Baezel's onslaught was relentless. Each punch and kick sent shockwaves rippling through the air, causing even the stadium below to tremble. Pepkorn had no chance of defending himself, and his futile attempts to retaliate were quickly crushed by Baezel's might, as were the bones in his body that shattered every time Baezel struck him.
Finally, with one swift and powerful sledgehammer to his head, Baezel sent Pepkorn hurtling back down to the ground. He crashed into the grass with a resounding thud, lying unconscious on the floor. His eyes were white, and his body twitching form the amount of pain it just had to endure. He not only had a concussion, but his brain would likely never work the same way ever again. There was a small scar forming underneath his hair due to the concussion. Baezel landed gracefully on the arena, his golden aura still burning brightly. He turned it off, turning to the announcer.
The crowd was silent, their eyes wide with shock at the one-sided nature of the battle they had witnessed. They would've clapped, but they weren't sure if they should. If Baezel would go for them next.
"Hey. Announcer," Baezel said calmly, with a trembling voice. It was surprisingly hard to speak calmly as a Super Saiyan.
"Y - yes?" the blonde announcer said.
"I eliminated Pepkorn. That means I win, right?"
"That's...correct. B - Baezel is the winner of the 23rd Tenkaichi B - Budokai!"
"Good. Then I won't be breaking any rules by doing this."
As he announcer's voice rang out, declaring Baezel the winner of the tournament, Baezel fired a Super Wild Cannon at Pepkorn's body, eviscerating it completely and leaving only ashes. Gangal, Radichio, Dana and Lemogras were all in shock - Dana had never seen Baezel embody a level of rage or efficiency like this before, and Gangal and Radichio had never seen Baezel kill a man before. Not a single one of them expected Pepkorn to be his first victim. Gangal decided that he had seen enough, he was getting far, FAR away from all this.
Then, the unexpected happened. Baezel's vision began to blur, as his cheek was touching the grass now. His hair was black and drooped down, his eyes were calm and black again, and the strength he once wielded as a Super Saiyan was gone. For how long it would be inaccessible, was anyone's guess. He then collapsed to the floor, exhausted. The last thing he heard before his hearing cut out was Radichio running to him, and picking him up, while flying him, Dana and Lemogras to...somewhere. The rest of what happened was kind of a blur. He woke up, now in his bed. His head hurt a little, and he turned to the trio. "Ugh...what happened? All I remember was being engulfed in a yellow light and beating the shit out of Pepkorn, then collapsing."
"Dude, you don't know?!" Radichio said. "Your hair spiked up and turned gold, and your eyes were blue! I think you turned into a Super Saiyan!"
"A SUPER SAIYAN?!" Baezel said, getting out of his bed. "That's impossible! It's only a legend!"
"Oh yeah? Put on your uniform, we're going outside." Radichio and Baezel stepped outside, as Radichio prepared to help Baezel transform again. He knew that rage was a key factor in transforming, at least, from what Baezel showed.
"Okay then," Radichio said gently. "Do you remember when we were kids, and Platinum attacked us? You had the chance to save Gangal, but you hesitated, and he paid the price for it." Baezel's pupils became slightly smaller, and his hair began to spike up at the mention of that painful memory. He looked away, unable to meet Radichio's gaze.
"No...I've spent so much time trying to forget it...it wasn't my fault..." Radichio nodded, understanding the weight of those memories.
"Oh, but it was. Gangal has never forgiven you for the pain you forced him to die in, and I know that it's been tearing you up inside for the past decade. It's time for you to confront that pain, Baezel, and let it fuel your determination. You can't change the past, but you can use it to become stronger."
Baezel's fists clenched, his emotions churning inside him. He felt a mix of guilt, regret, and anger. He remembered the look on Gangal's face when he failed to protect him, the pain he saw in his brother's eyes. It had haunted him all these years.
"It's not my fault...it's not my fault! IT'S NOT MY FAULT!" Baezel said to himself, his anger increasing as he spoke his words of denial. Tears started to form, as the memories were starting to come back. "That's the spirit," Radichio encouraged. "Let that rage, that pain, flow through you. It was your fault. It was because of you that Platinum was allowed to live. THIS WAS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!"
"STOP! STOP IT!" he screamed, as he started to cry.
His hair was rising up, as was his ki. He held his head, clutching his hair. As Baezel closed his eyes, he let those memories flood his mind. He thought about Gangal, the bond they once had, and the pain of losing him. He could see it all - the struggle they all had against Platinum's Shocking Death Ball, Baezel and Radichio ditching him, Gangal being overwhelmed, his scream of agony before dying, the giant explosion from the attack, Baezel running into Radichio's arms and crying.
His body trembled as he felt the energy building up inside him. Radichio stepped back, giving Baezel space to confront his emotions. "Enough denying the past. You may not have killed him yourself, but YOU, are the reason that your brother died. And if you don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else, you better transform ASAP."
"No....no!! GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!"
With one final cry of fury, he snapped, transforming again. Baezel's hair became fully spiked up and golden, and a golden aura enveloped him. His eyes glowed blue with a fierce determination. He had tapped into that well of emotion once more, and this time, he could feel the transformation surging through him. Radichio smiled, seeing the golden-haired Super Saiyan standing before him.
"Boom. Now you're a Super Saiyan once more. Do you accept that it was your fault that your brother died?"
"...no. Most of the responsibility falls onto me, that much is true. But you abandoned him with me."
"I guess you're right. Sorry for gaslighting you back there," Radichio replied. "Now, try to keep that level of anger in your mind. And don't think that you'll be the only one with that kind of power - I'll become a Super Saiyan as well! Just give me some time."
We then undergo a four year timeskip. Radichio became a Super Saiyan, as he said that he would. After three years of training and experimentation with the transformation - such as bulking up the muscles (Super Saiyan Grade 2) and maximizing power output, (Super Saiyan Grade 3) they finally settled on Super Saiyan Grade 4. Their hair was now much more detailed, and pale blonde.
He came across other souls, each suffering in their own unique ways, and it made him feel strangely uncomfortable. Deep down, Pepkorn knew he deserved to be here, but he refused to accept it fully. Instead, he tried to be macho and pretend he didn't care, trying to maintain his arrogant façade even in the afterlife.
As he wandered through the blood pool and dry terrain, he couldn't help but reflect on his past actions. The memories of his crimes and the pain he had caused resurfaced, and for a brief moment, Pepkorn felt a pang of remorse. But he quickly suppressed those feelings, convincing himself that he had done what he needed to survive and achieve his goals. And that he'd get back at that little brat of his that strayed too far from the path he set out for him.
In the distance, he spotted figures that seemed familiar to him. It was hard to know who was who, considering they were all cloud-like souls with no faces to recognize, but he could feel a sense of unease as he approached.
They seemed to stare at him, their presence intensifying his discomfort. Pepkorn tried to muster his arrogance, attempting to brush off their judgmental gazes. But he was willing to hear them out. To humor them.
One of the souls floated forward. "You caused so much pain, so much suffering," it said, its voice woman-like, filled with anguish. "You took everything from me, and now you will face the consequences."
Pepkorn scoffed at such a statement. "Like I give a shit," he said, blasting the soul out of existence. He went to go sit behind a tree, feeling a little bit of remorse. "Damn...that felt kinda good. I wonder if those souls will be okay? Ah, I'm sure they'll be fine." Little did Pepkorn know about the main rule of the afterlife - if you die while dead there, you'll cease to exist.
The souls around him didn't respond with forgiveness; instead, they maintained their unwavering gaze. They didn't need his apologies or remorse; what was done could not be undone. Pepkorn had to face the consequences of his actions, and Hell was his fate. But to here with consequences! He didn't care about what some souls had to say about him, he was fucking Pepkorn! With a wave of his hand, a wave of ki was launched out, eviscerating lots of souls. He went back to his tree to sleep. And now that you've finished reading the prologue, I hope you have a fantastic time starting Dragon Ball GB - the story of Baezel's life.
