Chapter 3 - 2. Tears on meugang day

Here, specifically where we live, the holding day is lively, very lively, the city I live in is quite small and there is never a traffic jam. But when welcoming megang day, it can get jammed everywhere.

I called my mother-in-law while crying sobbing.

Rani: I'm sorry I can't send money for you and you to hold this.

Mother-in-law: it's okay son. Don't think about Mama. The important thing is that children can buy meat.

Rani: don't have mom for kids, no mom either. While I was sobbing

Mother-in-law: what will happen to her grandchildren, if you don't have money, you don't have money.

Rani: nthlah Mak. I don't know what to say, I've given up, Mom.

Finally we decided to go to the ATM to check my salary. On the way, suddenly my sister-in-law called me and said "Sis, my sister sent 1 million money, okay, I'll take people's money later, when you get paid, just pay it". He replied to me. Along the way I just cried gratefully. When I arrived at the ATM, my eyes widened and I cried again. It seemed that my salary had been pushed back for 3 months…because it had been 3 months that I had not been paid.

The sustenance that God loves if we are willing to be patient there must be a way. I decided with my husband to save my brother-in-law's money first because we just sent it, it's not good for us to return it. Then I took half of my salary and we bought a donut mixer to make a donut business during the fasting month. Because there will be no more income in the future if we are not smart in turning money around," my hunch.

But what I thought actually happened. There is absolutely no other income apart from what we sell during the fasting month. We made a potato donut business, I took them to places where people were selling them. I was grateful because the proceeds from the sales could cover my daily needs during the fasting month. Because our version in my family, if the fasting month spends a lot of money. Many tastes want this and that later when breaking the fast.

We are engaged in a small business by selling donuts. Alhamdulillah, the results are satisfying. Until my husband was overwhelmed to handle it. Because making donuts requires a very long process. At first it was only 1 kilo, until it increased to several kilos. Fortunately, my husband is good at mastering the art of donuts, even though he is not as good at temperature. heh. When delivering the donuts, in the afternoon, my eyes were engrossed in glancing at the cake table selling people, just once there was a chance to put donuts. "My husband said that enough is enough. Don't look for it anymore. It's tired when you go to school, brother."

I'm one of the superior school administration contract employee staff in the district where I live. So during the fasting month we also work even though the students are on holiday.

It's also true what my husband said, I'm sorry too if I work, he's alone when he comes home, sometimes I cook all my favorite donuts.

When it was near the end of the fast, one of the tofu sellers stopped making tofu for some reason. So the shop owner asked me to replace that position. Basically I have never made out the contents. With the knowledge that my brother-in-law taught me, he was slaughtered before when I lived there... so I tried to sell tofu and it sold out well. I was shocked when I took the cake box..I got more excited when I sold a lot..For village people, they sold more than 30 pcs. Wow, that's really good. What's more, mine sold over 50 pieces…I live more enthusiastic days as a seller of wet cakes. My husband is also enthusiastic because every day we sell about 300 of our cakes. Thank God the effort does not betray the result. The fruit of patience, effort, hard work for me and my husband.

God is everything. I always pray to have a cake shop and gift gallery in the future. Amen oh my God. May Allah grant it. The days continue to pass, the fasting month is almost leaving us. Sadness envelops the heart because the moment of the fasting month is a rare moment that only happens once a year. The beautiful atmosphere of the month of Ramadan. I'm grateful because I still met Ramadhan this time, hopefully we will also meet the next Ramadhan, Amin...
