Farouk's breathing was steady as he stood his ground, his spirit aura blazing like a storm around him. Across from him, Jai grinned, his monstrous form radiating raw, destructive energy. The battlefield had already suffered, with craters and scars littering the ground from their initial clash. Yet the fight was far from over.
"Still standing, old dog?" Jai taunted, his six blades spinning with lethal intent. "Let's see how long that pride of yours lasts!"
Farouk raised his sword, its edge glowing faintly with spirit aura. His stance shifted slightly, the air around him growing still. He spoke for the first time since their clash began.
"Your arrogance blinds you, Jai," Farouk said, his tone calm yet piercing. "But I'll show you what true skill looks like."
Jai roared in response, his six blades converging on Farouk in a deadly flurry. Farouk moved like water, his blade meeting each strike with precise efficiency. Sparks erupted with each clash, their weapons screaming as they collided. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and shockwaves rippled outward, cracking the earth and toppling nearby structures.
"Amazing" Abaddon commented in Jai's head, "This human has a stronger will than even you King Jai. Are you sure you're going to be fine?" Abaddon asked
Jai smirked and replied. "A demon impressed with a human, well if anyone deserves it it's a monster like Farouk" Jai replied
"Listen demon, if you want to claim your precious prizes here, we have to win this fight. No holding back!!" Jai said
Immediately he spoke, he felt a massive spike in Farouk's spirit.
"He's preparing for a sword attack," Jai thought, and soon enough Farouk took the first sword stance
The First Sword: Great Slash. His blade swung in a wide arc, imbued with just enough spirit aura to send a powerful energy toward Jai. It was as if Farouk had sliced the world itself, but Jai stood firm. The force of the attack sent Jai skidding back, carving a deep trench in the ground
Jai laughed, wiping the blood from a shallow cut on his arm. "Impressive. But you'll have to do better than that."
Suddenly, Jai's aura surged, dark and chaotic. He raised one of his cursed-energy blades, slamming it into the ground with a roar. The earth erupted as massive shards of cursed energy shot toward Farouk like spears.
Farouk leaped into the air, dodging the attack with ease. He spun mid-air and unleashed the Third Sword: Howling Wind. A fierce gust of wind shot from his blade, razor-sharp and tearing through the cursed spears. The wind carried forward, slamming into Jai with enough force to push him back several feet.
"Not bad!" Jai growled, his voice distorted by his monstrous form. "But you're not the only one with techniques."
Jai took to the sky, raising his four cursed-energy blades, and slashed downward, using the Fifth sword falling star. A wave of destructive energy surged forward, shattering anything in its path. Farouk planted his feet firmly and countered with the Second Sword: Mountain Rend. His sword cleaved through the oncoming wave, splitting it in two and sending it crashing harmlessly to the sides.
The clash sent another shockwave through the battlefield, and Viran, hovering above, cursed under his breath. His wings glowed with rune-etched light as he reinforced the barrier surrounding the area.
"Damn it," Viran muttered. "At this rate, they'll destroy everything."
He raised his hand, signaling to his men stationed at the outskirts of the city. "You, take the western quadrant and evacuate the citizens. You clear the eastern markets. Ensure no one is left in the blast zones!"
The soldiers nodded and scattered, their movements precise and urgent. Viran clenched his fists, focusing his energy on stabilizing the barrier. He could feel the strain of containing the chaos. The barrier flickered briefly, but he gritted his teeth and reinforced it.
Away from the battlefield, Sida was watching the battle while hovering in the sky safely in the distance. She had just left General Farouk not too long ago and now he was battling a monster. She stared at the… Thing general Farouk was fighting and she could not help but tremble in horror.
How is he able to keep up with that thing? Sida thought as she braced for another incoming shockwave.
Closer to the battlefield was her father trying to erect a barrier to contain the two fighting gods. She bit her lips, her mind wondering if her father knew of her meeting with Farouk, or maybe this was one big unusual coincidence. Although she doubted it.
She flew back down, where Jo and Mickey were waiting.
"What's going on?" Jo asked.
"General Farouk is fighting someone or something. I don't know who or what that is." Sida said.
"Do you think it's Jai?" Jo asked.
"I think so. Maybe the rumors about him summoning a curse are true" Sida said.
"You should leave Sida suggested. I think my father knows about us."
"But- "
"There are no buts Jo. Just leave. I'll see you some other time. I have to go and help my father" Sida said and flew away.
Once she left Mickey asked.
"Are we leaving?"
"Not until we know exactly what's going on" Jo replied
Farouk and Jai, oblivious to the efforts around them, continued their duel. Farouk's movements were deliberate, his strikes calculated. He stepped forward and unleashed the Fourth Sword: Heavenly Drill. His blade became a blur as he lunged, the piercing attack aimed directly at Jai's heart.
Jai barely managed to block with two of his blades, the force of the attack driving him back several paces. The cursed swords in his hands vibrated violently, the energy clashing against Farouk's spirit aura.
"You're starting to annoy me, Farouk!" Jai bellowed, his monstrous voice echoing across the battlefield.
"And you're still as reckless as ever," Farouk replied, his voice calm but his aura intensifying.
Above, Viran scanned the battlefield, his eyes narrowing as he saw the devastation spreading toward the city. His wings flared, and he swooped down, landing near a group of his men who were coordinating the evacuation.
"Move faster!" Viran barked. "We can't afford to lose anyone. The fight's spilling into the residential areas."
One of the soldiers hesitated, glancing toward the raging battle. "Sir, what about the King? Shouldn't we—"
Viran cut him off with a glare. "Look at that. Viran said pointing at the ragging battle, is that a fight we can get involved in?" He asked.
The guard glanced at the battle briefly and gulped. It was obvious he didn't want to go anywhere near those two
"Your job is to ensure no one else gets caught in the crossfire. Now move!"
Back at the battlefield, Jai let out a primal roar, his cursed aura flaring violently. He raised his six blades and brought them down simultaneously, each one glowing with dark energy. "Let's see you block this!"
Farouk braced himself, his spirit aura condensing into a protective shield. He raised his sword high and invoked the Fifth Sword: Falling Star. A brilliant streak of light shot from his blade, meeting Jai's attack head-on. The resulting explosion lit up the sky, a blinding flash that momentarily obscured both fighters.
When the dust cleared, Farouk was standing, his sword raised and glowing faintly. Jai, though battered, grinned through the blood dripping from his lips.
"You're strong, old dog," Jai said, his voice dripping with malice. "But I'm just getting started."
Farouk said nothing, his grip on his sword tightening. His spirit aura flared once more, and the two warriors charged at each other, their clash sending another shockwave rippling across the battlefield.
