Chapter 107 - Chapter 107

While Hakuji brawled and bragged to his heart's content Lavinia took a more leisurely route to the same end. Ice meteors, frost giants, and snowblades surrounded the two attackers and ruthlessly taunted them all.

It was somewhat amusing that Damian and Aguero had made such a mirror match up but Lavinia didn't spend much time on it. Her opponents were only two in number but were such tricky opponents that both their strategists determined they needed another set of hands.

"What's wrong bitch? Where's your confidence?!" A deranged voice shouted over the wailing winds whilst an aura of death 'killed' the oncoming attacks. The aspect of death Acheron had proved himself to be quite the challenge.

"What are you talking about? Have you seen me move?" Lavinia inquired with faux entertainment in her eyes. Luckily Acheron was on the dumber end of things when it came to actual offensive ability.

"Magically moving is still moving." Almost slothfully responding was the aspect of immortality Styx who was lazily yawning into his hand, the ice attacks harmlessly bouncing off the man. It was these two that made this somewhat troubling situation potentially disastrous.

Neither Damian nor Aguero knew the full extent of Acheron's ability to bring death, all they knew was that his ability was greater than the strongest reapers. Meanwhile, Styx was just a bad matchup for Hakuji. If it weren't for these two people Hakuji could have won by himself with basically no exhaustion.

"Well, I suppose you're correct. I'll stop here then." Stopping her flight Lavinia simply hovered, the giant doll of ice spreading frost around her almost like a domain of sorts. Where Hakuji would struggle she would thrive, why would she be worried?

"Don't underestimate us bitch!" Screaming in unadulterated anger Acheron dashed forward at a speed she could almost not see. Time itself seemed to wither wherever he moved lending credence to the theory that he could kill time should he pleased.

"I'm only evaluating you all fairly." Lavinia replied lazily, hardly worried about the strike coming her way. Reaching down her doll guardian plucked the scythe right out of the aspect's hands and threw it away like garbage.

Time seemed to slow to a standstill around them, frost encroaching upon the land of time as ice and snow gathered endlessly. Slowly dragging his eyes up to the doll, Acheron didn't have the time to 'kill' anything before the doll's fist struck him.

"You're all beneath me." Lavinia's sickeningly sweet smile at that moment was repulsive, cruel and discrimination packaged into one horrific gaze. She wasn't being arrogant, they truly were beneath her.

"So hot~!" She heard the melodious voice of Aika in her ear for a moment but Lavinia ignored it, instead focusing on the damaged but not dead Acheron and entirely unharmed Styx. Acheron was of lesser importance of the two aspects now but Styx would still be an issue.

"You're too much of a hot head." Scolding his unconscious comrade Styx was entirely unbothered by the entire situation. Styx was, in simple terms, untouchable. Like the legend of the Nemean Lion all things would simply bounce away from him without a wound to show for it.

"It seems we can finally agree on something." Lavinia calmly replied, her repulsive smile unchanged. Hakuji could perhaps deal with Acheron but the uncertainty was worrying. Styx however was not somebody Hakuji could handle. In fact, few truly could.

With nigh absolute magical and physical defenses it was difficult to even dream of harming him, it was only individuals like her that could. Beings like Sirzechs Lucifer or Shiva would not have any trouble with somebody like him but she would struggle just a small amount.

"That doll is dangerous. It's a Longinus huh." Styx mumbled to himself, unbothered about revealing his worries. To break through his defenses was a theoretically simple matter. All it took was an attack strong enough to both break through his impenetrable defenses and destroy his body in its entirety in case he truly was immortal.

"Congratulations you figured it out!" With her fame and the sheer obviousness of the conclusion it didn't sound quite as praiseworthy as Lavinia made it out to be but Styx still nodded in thanks regardless.

"A powerful mage with a Longinus. You really are blessed." Styx declared calmly, a hint of envy in his voice. Talent was something that everybody craved and yet only a few had. Styx was no exception to that truth.

He wasn't as talented as his siblings, his aspect was only good for keeping him alive. He was born unblessed and rose to the heights he had because of effort and good luck. Out of his four siblings, he was the unluckiest.

"Talented? Me? I think you should go outside more if you actually believe that. I know people who had perfect control of their Longinus from birth and people so genetically blessed that even a saint would feel jealous. Do you really think I'm blessed?" Lavinia questioned with a much more sincere grin.

Vali Lucifer and Tobio Isuke, those two were truly blessed. But, even with that, they were only as strong as they were because they worked harder than anyone else on top of it. Without that, they'd only be a fraction as strong as they were now. And that wasn't even including the monster that spearheaded this operation.

"Don't act as though everything was done by hard work alone. Your strength is born from talent and that is all." Energy exploded outward at his declaration, the aspect's tone tinged with infinite jealousy that was previously hidden by his slovenly attitude.

"Are you actually having a tantrum? Wow. Maybe you should go outside." With disgust obvious on her face, Lavinia and her doll released a bone chilling cold energy that clashed against Styx's own jealous tinged energy.

Blasts of wind emerged from the battle as tornados and blades of wind were shot in every direction. It was the start of something bigger, the real battle between the witch and the aspect that would result in barely anything.

Winning or losing against Hades would determine everything. The truth is told by the winner and unless they win nothing will be remembered. But neither of the two cared, one confident and the other two enraged to think about it.

Coming to a stop, their energies vanished for just a second before they clashed.
