"It's been a while, Master." A young man carrying a large spear spoke casually, his smile sincere and his eyes narrowed at the half naked man across from him. The man was Cao Cao, the head of the Hero Faction and the owner of the Holy Spear of the Setting Sun.
"Indeed. It seems you've grown well if you have the courage to stand against me." The half naked man replied with a smile and his arms crossed. The man was the Technique God, a former human who joined the devils.
"Just to warn you ahead of time, Master, the Hero Faction is not a part of this war. We aren't ready to fight the monster you've decided to serve." Cao Cao explained as he raised his spear in front of him, the sharp tip radiating a holy light.
"Is that so? Then I'll merely break your bones today." Yan Qing replied with a small chuckle, a wry smile crossing the reincarnated hero's face. Despite his gentle attitude Yan Qing was anything but kind when it came to combat.
Teleporting forward the clashed, flesh striking spear for but a second before the reincarnated hero was sent flying back. In terms of pure power, Cao Cao was stronger and his weapon was superior but Yan Qing was a monster in terms of technique.
Spinning his hand in a circle a trail of green energy followed his movements, a perfect circle quickly forming in his path. Blurring forward Cao Cao tried to destroy the attack, his nervousness unhidden as his spear slowly approached the skill.
Yet it was no use. Time slowed in Yan Qing's view as he forced his way into the domain, his attack replicating the signs of yin and yang. His palm moved slowly, so slowly it hardly appeared to be moving, yet when it touched his opponent's body it contained nigh infinite power.
Crashing through tree, rock, and mountain alike his body only stopped when he was well within the Gremory territory. Appearing above him with a gentle smile on his face Yan Qing's fist once more descended upon him.
Hurriedly raising his spear they clashed once more, his fall inevitable. Destroying the rocks trapping him within the dirt he took the initiative, his spear blurring all around him as a similar symbol to the one he had just seen appeared.
However, instead of being filled to the brim with natural energy it was formed from the pure holy power granted to him by the spear enveloped in Christ's blood. Mimicking his students actions Yan Qing created the same symbol but in reverse.
Enlarging the barrier instantly covered his entire form just as the spear of pure holy power struck forward. The barrier cracked in an instant and broke mere seconds later but seconds were long when you could stop time.
Appearing behind his student Yan Qing grasped his wrist and upper arm, his leg wrapping around his dominant leg and he effortlessly pulled the skilled warrior over his shoulder and onto the ground.
Striking his student in various parts of his limbs a drowsy look instantly crossed his face. It was a simple use of acupuncture to relax the opponent but it was effective. Striking his student in the chest his ribs instantly cracked and punctured his lungs.
Ignoring the pain associated with every breath Cao Cao formed a beam of holy energy above them. With brightness similar to that of a star and size relative to a sports field it would be extremely difficult to dodge.
"Oh? To think you can actually counteract now. How impressive. As a reward, I'll show you another move." Speaking casually Yan Qing had no fear in his eyes as he went into a stance, his atmosphere blending with nature instantly.
Looking on with widened eyes Cao Cao strained himself to watch every muscle movement. Why was he called the Technique God, a title granted to him by the gods themselves? It wasn't because he was strong. It was because he was a monster of instinct.
Raising his hand in front of his chest the atmosphere seemed to shimmer around his palm just by how much natural energy surrounded his open palm. As the falling star of holy power ascended from the heavens and grew closer he began to move.
Gently extending two fingers he pressed the mass of energy. The scent of sizzling flesh permeated the battlefield yet the light born from the attack vanished. The attack had disappeared. No. It had been eradicated.
"By following my King I've learned many things, this is only one of them. I have plenty more to show you." Yan Qing goaded his student, a gentle smirk on his face as his student slowly rose to his feet.
The concept of what he had done was actually quite simple. He found the 'core' of the attack and dispersed it. His King could do it effortlessly but for him, it was a risky technique as to find the core he needed to touch the attack. Still, for attacks such as these, it was useful.
"Don't forget what I said, Master. I'm going to steal every technique you have." Cao Cao responded with a smirk, his spear once more facing his opponent. As a monster of instinct, Yan Qing couldn't teach anything. Cao Cao learned with his body with his talent bridging the gaps.
"Wonderful. Then let us dance for as long as we can this wonderful evening." Yan Qing proclaimed serenely yet even his expression faltered when the beam of stardust cut through the ground beside him and sent his student to the realm of dreams.
"Sorry~☆! I didn't see him there☆!" Apologizing with the most insincere smile possible, Ai Hoshino made her lack of remorse clear. Months ago Yan Qing had accidentally dropped Ruby and Ai has not forgiven him since.
"Can't we just let bygones be bygones?" Yan Qing requested with a sigh. As Ai was far from in tune with her emotions her pettiness was unchecked, her aggression clear for all to see, and her determination to ruin his fun had caused many inconveniences to him.
"Nope~☆!" Ai replied without hesitation, cheerfully turning away mere minutes later. Sighing to himself Yan Qing dropped the subject. As his King had told him, 'Hell Hath no Fury like an Angry Mother'.
