Walking through the city of Kuoh there were two people that attracted the attention of anyone who they passed. The first was a tall male standing at over one hundred ninety centimeters tall with hair similar in shade to Sakura petals and golden eyes that perfectly resembled the eyes of dead fish.
The second was a more familiar face. Long crimson hair, strikingly beautiful ocean blue eyes, and a figure that none could ignore. Despite her elegant gait and respectable background, she had the body of a succubus. Her basketball sized breasts jiggled with every step and her soft and supple rear end was irresistible for the populace no matter their gender.
"Why are you here?" Damian asked his companion emotionlessly, completely undisturbed by the glares of hatred and envy being piled on from the residents of Kuoh. Rias was beautiful and attracted plenty of attention but the devils were more attracted to his power and their eyes were much worse.
"I'm just accompanying my fiancée on a walk. You wouldn't deny me even this would you?" Rias asked calmly, casually even, but the small frown and the worried look in her eyes told a different story.
She was a strong willed individual but even she feared being rejected repeatedly by the man she loved. She would get over it and persevere but it would still sting. She wouldn't let that stop her though.
"Why?" Damian asked her abruptly, breaking the tense silence that surrounded them. Looking at him in confusion, blue eyes urged him to continue. "Why do you still chase me? I helped you once for my own gain so why?" He continued, his tone lacking in any and all emotions.
"It's because I love you." Rias proclaimed easily, unperturbed by the flinch that accompanied her words. He may have beaten Riser because of some selfish reason but he had saved her and that was all that mattered.
"You're going to be hurt." Damian retorted, his golden eyes looking toward the ground. The Thaumiel clan was a clan destined for sorrowful ends and lives of anguish and those who accompanied them would share that fate.
"As if ignoring me for eight years hadn't hurt me." Rias scoffed, a low chuckle of resignation escaping Damian's lips. She had given him eight years since he was in pain but it didn't mean she wasn't hurt in the process. She was, she just endured.
"That's true isn't it?" Damian spoke with a low chuckle, a ghost of a smile on his face. For a single moment, a single beautiful instant, Rias saw his old self in him. His bright and overly mysterious smile overlapped with his current weak one.
"It is. I waited long enough, now I'm going on the offensive." Rias declared with an almost childish grin on her face. Instantly she took his hand into her own, the first positive physical contact they'd had in years.
Damian flinched slightly but ultimately he didn't fight against her grasp. Giggling softly at his implicit agreement Rias couldn't help but smile the entire time they walked even if Rias herself didn't know their destination. She was fine anywhere as long as it was with him.
"Why here?" Despite her willingness to go anywhere Rias couldn't help but ask, her eyes monetarily glancing at the name of the plaque. Listed on the plaque was a name that anybody in Kuoh Academy would recognize.
"I have business with him." Damian explained vaguely, making Rias giggle softly. Even if he had changed drastically his flair to the mysterious. The surrounding space was tinted pink as an alternate space was skillfully crafted.
"You aren't pushing me away this time?" Rias asked with a smile on her beautiful face, happily walking through the gateway with her fiancée. With all his previous mysterious actions Damian either did them by himself or with limited company that could not be excluded so she was rather pleased that he didn't send her away.
"Would you have listened?" He asked in response and her mischievous grin was enough for him. Shaking his head he opened the door to the Hyoudou family home and walked inside as if he owned the place with Rias happily at his side.
Moving through the home with purpose Rias couldn't help but find her eyes caught on the various pictures on the walls. Some were drawings clearly made by a child but most were pictures taken years ago.
In each photo, there was a happy family standing by each other with wide smiles on their faces and happily hugging one another. They told a story of the child growing up, his first time fishing, his first time camping, his first soccer game, and so on.
Damian didn't so much as glance at them but Rias found herself oddly enamored by the child, not of the child himself but of the concept of a child. Watching the child grow through those pictures lit a flame that she hadn't known existed before.
"I want a child." Rias declared suddenly, her voice completely sure of her decision. Glancing back at her in surprise Damian's eternal frown depended dramatically. Immediately his reaction awakened her from the strange stupor she was in as she hurriedly owned her mouth.
"In the future." Damian promised before turning his attention away from her, calmly opening the door to his target's room. Standing completely still, Rias' cheeks were the same shade as her hair as she opened and closed her mouth without a single sound.
His target, Issei Hyoudou, had a room filled with porn magazines, lewd anime figures, and scantily clad women in posters on the walls. The room effortlessly created the feeling that it would smell less than desirable if they weren't in a separate space.
"Isn't that your Bishop?" Rias asked, a small cough of embarrassment escaping her lips as she pointed at a nearby poster. Compared to the other posters it was rather tame, focusing on the incomparably bright smile on her face.
"Mhm." Damian hummed in response, quickly discarding the topic entirely. While she had half stepped out of the idol business his Bishop was still one of the most influential and popular idols in Japan.
"So what'd you need him for?" Rias asked upon seeing the infamous pervert sleeping peacefully in a magically induced sleep. She was sure that he had some kind of sacred gear, a dragon type to be exact, but from what she could tell it was either weak or couldn't exhibit its power with him.
"His heart." Damian declared coldly as his hand hovered over his skull.
