If Damian were to list his current worries, the list would be longer than Midgardsormr however at the top of that list there were a few things in particular. As one would expect, ExE was at the very top of that list but the next was rather uncharacteristic.
"How exactly do I do that?" Damian murmured, his eyes locked onto the paper before him. He had already completed many of the wishes of his friends so now he had moved on to more prominent tasks.
"Idk. Try getting good." A clearly amused voice responded to him as he wandered throughout the Thaumiel estate. Not so much as glancing at the soul floating at his side Damian sighed in annoyance.
"I'm happy you're dead." Was all Damian said as he opened the door to the next room. It was an oddly futuristic room with a large pink sun in the middle that danced like flames. It was the soul of the Thaumiel ancestor preserved over the centuries.
"And I'm happy you're alive." The voice now came from the large soul in the center as Damian quickly approached it. "Remember, I've only shown myself because you're here so don't make me regret it. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
"Please stop watching movies." Solemnly requesting such a thing Damian didn't wait for a response, his hand penetrating the outer layer of the soul. Their goal today was to tame the Crown so Damian could safely defeat ExE.
"I refuse." If Satan had a face, he'd be posing right now. Ignoring his ancestor's playful attitude pink energy spread from Damian's hand, contaminating the vividly red soul into the same shade of pink.
"You are aware this will kill you right?" Damian asked for confirmation, stopping just before the entire soul turned pink. Their plan was simple, Damian would use Satan's soul to tame the Crown at the cost of the latter's life.
The process was fairly complicated but the essence of it was that Satan's being would become the anchor to hold the Crown down. Satan would act as the spiritual core of the Crown whereas Damian would act as the material core.
"That's fine. It's not like an old ghost like me is needed anyway. You kids will be fine." Lazily speaking Satan made it abundantly clear that he wasn't afraid of death. Sighing, Damian's energy spread further.
A strong connection was formed with the soul before him in an instant, Damian abruptly getting the addicting feeling of absolute control once more. Summoning the crown the soul of Satan soared into it, shrinking until the small sun was nothing more than a bright match flame.
Sinking into the crown the two almost seemed hesitant to touch, the two vastly different powers instinctively doubting their ability to merge. Unfortunately for them, Damian hardly cared for the reservations of energy.
Forcefully pushing them together Damian felt little to no resistance, his ever reliable absolute energy control making it more than simple to combine the two conflicting powers. The infinite energy of Satan and the incredible enhancement of the Crown.
[Partner, I'm not sure if the dragon heart can handle that much energy.] Ddraig's concerned yet excited voice spoke up. He often tried to be the voice of reason despite looking forward to the result more than any other.
"It'll be fine." Damian responded uncaringly, the crown floating atop his head. In an instant, an infinite flow of absurdly powerful energy flowed into Damian's body. If he wasn't born with such absurd control the energy would have instantly destroyed his brain. He would have lived though.
Manipulating the energy within him it flowed around his body like a tsunami, the weak Dragon Heart struggling to match the output of the third source of infinite energy. Blood seeped from Damian's lips, dripped from his nose, and pooled in his ears.
'It's cracking.' Damian thought internally, his attention split between controlling the energy and the quickly failing Dragon Heart. With each rotation of the energy the Dragon Heart grew just a bit stronger but if he forced it all his work would go up in smoke.
However, the process was nearly complete. The crown's previously stable form was shaking as it was forcefully transformed from a physical existence into a spiritual one. It only took a few seconds for the crown to appear to be a hazy outline of its former self.
[Partner!] Ignoring the screams of the Red Dragon Emperor, Damian pushed the crown into his body where it and Satan's soul would reside for the rest of his life. Breathing a sigh of relief as he regained control of the crown Damian crumpled to the floor.
"You made it sound so easy." Damian murmured tiredly, a hand over his heart where the Crown now resided. It was a simple process but the pain and difficulties associated with it were much more prominent than Damian expected.
The greatest control Damian had seen beside himself was Ajuka Beelzebub but if he were in Damian's shoes, with the same experience controlling infinite energy, Ajuka would have died within three seconds.
The difference between the energy was heaven and hell, there was simply too much difference between them. To a normal person the energy Damian usually worked with was actually quite dense and difficult to maneuver but the crown's energy couldn't be compared.
Damian's already dense energy seemed like nothing more than water with how easily it moved in comparison to the Crown's energy. There was no mortal comparison that could be used to explain just how thick it was. It was more like a solid than anything else.
[Partner, your dragon heart… it's finished.] Ddraig suddenly spoke, complete bewilderment and disbelief in his tone. Looking inwardly Damian could see it, the glowing radiance of a complete Dragon Heart behind the cracks.
"That was fast." Damian murmured with a chuckle. It wasn't exactly out of expectations. The presence of the Crown and Satan's soul would naturally elevate the Dragon Heart to a new tier but Damian didn't expect this.
[Is this even a Dragon Heart?] Ddraig spoke in confusion. The Dragon Hearts of most dragons worked on a similar principle to Damian's soul with draconic energy just a little bit thinner than his own.
Yet the Dragon Heart here produced such vile yet powerful energy it was as though it was drawing power from an infinite number of devils. It was no Dragon Heart, Ddraig was sure of that, but he didn't know what it was either.
"Let's just call it the Demonic Heart and move on." Damian spoke lazily, a teleportation circle appearing under his feet as he disappeared from the room. No matter how tired he was, there were still things to be done.
In this room, in those few seconds, Damian had been elevated to a level of existence greater than even the Dragon Gods. In this world, he was invincible.
