The world is fucking huge.
So huge that it has nine Continents with water bodies twice their size surrounding them.
In this vast world, our protagonist was born in the Continent of Vulvan.
It was a bright summer day in the continent of Vulvan, just another peaceful day like any other.
But suddenly, the blue sky got covered with black storm clouds and what followed after that was a raging storm laying ruins to kingdoms... yeah too cliche, not happening.
It was a hot and dry day in a small kingdom located in the southern part of the Vulvan continent.
Although it is a "Kingdom", it is not a very prosperous one.
You could think of it as a Kingdom that is about to go bankrupt anytime, any day.
Inside that Kingdom's royal palace, the Queen's bedroom to be more specific, cries of pain and suffering could be heard.
It was the Queen going through her labor.
The wet nurses, the maids and the physicians were all doing their best to aid the Queen get through this.
Soon, she let out one big cry as she gave birth.
It was a baby boy.
The Queen and everyone else in that room were in great joy since a prince was born.
The King soon barged in followed by his guards and the royal guard captain.
The King and his men rejoiced when they learned that it was a prince and the King held his child in his hand as he lifted him up with a huge smile and tears.
The news soon spread throughout the Kingdom.
The whole Kingdom was elated.
Everybody was happy, except one, the Prince.
Unlike normal babies, he did not cry nor did he laugh, he just... looked.
That's it, he just looked around the room like he was scanning his surroundings.
It did not take the King long to notice this strange behaviour.
Worried, he asked the physician.
"Physician.... aren't newborns supposed to laugh or cry? Why is my son not doing anything? He isn't even making a sound! He's just.... looking?" The King asked in confusion.
The physician was as confused as the King, it was a first for him too.
"As you just said, your Majesty, newborn are supposed to cry and in some cases, they laugh as they are signs of healthiness, but the prince.... I believe he is a rare case, I've heard some newborn babies do not show any reaction after birth since they adapt to the situation they are in and try to understand what is going on however, your majesty, this is the first time I am witnessing such a situation, so forgive me for not being able to give an answer, your majesty." The physician said in a sincere voice.
(That was absolute bullshit, don't take it seriously.)
"Hmm, then my son is not in any kind of health complication right?" The King asked again.
"Absolutely not, your majesty, the prince is as healthy as a bull, you can tell it just by looking at his eyes, your majesty, those deep brown eye share a splitting resemblance to you, your majesty." The physician said.
"Hmm..... you're right, he does look like me and he doesn't seem uncomfortable anywhere, I shall take your word for it physician, if he later does get any health complications, you shall see my brutal side." The King said in a threatening tone.
Everyone in the room could feel the pressure released by the King.
Even the guards and the Queen could feel it.
Even the guard captain, who was quite strong and very skilled, struggled to withstand the pressure released by the King.
But he noticed something odd, very odd.
"MY KING! THE PRINCE!" The guard captain shouted.
His shout brought the King out of his trance.
"Ah! My boy! I'm so sorry, that must have been scarry right? Please forgive this stupid father of yours, I promise I won't act out in front of you again." The King said as he rocked the prince lightly.
The whole room calmed down and became breathable again.
Everyone calmed down.
"Of course, your majesty, thanking you for trusting me." The physician said as he wiped the sweat off his face.
"Give me my son! Let me hold him." The bedridden Queen demanded.
"Of course my love." The King said as he walked to her side and placed him in her arms as he looked at them with loving eyes.
"How much of an insensitive idiot do you have to be to release such a pressure in front of a newborn child!"
The Queen scrowled at him.
"I am sorry my love, when it comes to our son's wellbeing, I can't hold myself back." The King pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
Even the mighty King becomes an obedient dog before the Queen.
"hmph!" The Queen then looked at her son, her eyes turned loving and caring as she looked at her son.
"My sweet baby boy, you shall be called Doran, you are the only prince and heir to Kingdom of Dal, Dal Doran." She said with a caring smile.
"My son's name is Dal Doran! You have your prince!" The King announced.
Everyone in the room went on their knee with their right hand placed on their left chest.
"Long live The Prince! Long live The King! Long live The Queen! Long live The Kingdom!" They all chanted in unison.
The news spread via the announcers and the same scene can be seen across the whole Kingdom.
It was celebration time.
It was like a festival.
Even though their Kingdom was poor, they did not hold back on celebrating as it was such an auspitious day.
Everyone was happy and in mood for celebrating.
Everyone except one, the royal guard captain.
What he saw in that room was still vivid in his mind.
The Prince, a newborn child, showed no reaction to the King's pressure when he released it.
It was more like..... he withstood it, like it was nothing but a breeze.
Something that he, the second strongest warrior in the Kingom, couldn't fully withstand, was withstood by a newborn baby.
He just couldn't believe it nor accept it.
The city guard captain soon arrived at the traven and sat across the royal guard captain.
"Hey Velik! My friend! Why do you look so gloom? We are supposed to be celebrating! What happened that got you so gloomy?" The city guard captain asked.
"Oh, it's you Sarasel, nothing just something bugging my mind." The royal guard captain, Velik, looked at him and said as he took a sip from the mug of ale in front of him.
"Really? What got you so buggin? You can tell me, we've been buddies for days I don't even remember." The city guard captain, Sarasel, said.
"And I regret spending all those damn days with you instead of women." Velik joked as he took another sip.
"Gahahahahaha! No use regreting it now! Even if you mob the floor with tears, we're stuck together for life!" Sarasel laughed as he drank the whole mug in one chug.
"You alcoholic booze barrel of a man..... what am I even gonna do with you?" Velik let out a light laugh.
"Kekekekekeke, there you go! Smile! Laugh! Get laid! Loosen up my friend! We finally have a prince! LONG LIVE THE PRINCE!" Sarasel laughed as he raised his mug.
The people in the traven followed him in his chant.
"LONG LIVE THE PRINCE!"
"LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!"
"LONG LIVE THE KING!"
"LONG LIVE THE KINGDOM!"
Velik's mood was lifted after witnessing the scene.
"Yeah, you're right, I shouldn't be worrying myself on such a joyous occasion, I'll worry about future when the future comes." Velik smiled as he let loose and joined the chant.
Whatever the future holds for him and the Kingdom, only time will tell.
