Chapter 29 - The Larsen's

"That book will help you," she said with a smile.

After work, Renly and Zilvshun got home tiredly, she was a big help to him in the office today and he has planned on bringing her tomorrow as well, that way they could both spend time together.

It been a couple of weeks since Zilvshun went to young man's company, they've both been going to the company during those weeks, Zilvshun was a big help to Renly at company, she only leaves to the hospital when there's an emergency. She's intelligent brave and bold, something he hasn't seen in any other woman he has encounter or maybe because he never really payed any other woman attention because of Maya. Because of her help Renly has no pending work.

During the last three days was confusing Renly has distanced himself from Zilvshun which was confusing the young lady. No matter how much he ignores her, she always brought him breakfast and lunch jus like every other day. Zilvshun is just tired of his mood swings. She has really grown attached to him that it has become too painfulfor her to leave him.

Today Zilvshun woke up to an empty bed just like during the last three days, she let out a sigh of tiredness and walked into the bathroom to do her morning business, she has just walked out of her theo bathroom when her phone rang, she picked it up andt saw that it was a call from the hospital.

"Hello Zilv, there's an emergency and we need you in five to ten minutes," an anxious voice rang from the other side of the phone.

"Okay, I will be there in five minutes," she replied and threw her phone onto the bed with a sigh. She was feeling exceptionally unwell today. Zilvshun quickly threw on a pair of black jeans and sky-blue t-shirt and a pair of black and white sneakers.

She pulled up her long hair into a high bun on top of her head before picking up her cell phone and motorcycle keys. She slides on the rail of the stairs and landed on her feet effortlessly into the living room where Renly and the others were sitting. Renly who saw her quickly averted his gaze.

"Good morning everyone, I'm off to the hospital now. I have an emergency," she said as she walked out of the living room nonchalantly after giving them a reassuring smile. A second later they heard her motorcycle zoomed off crazily.

"That's it she is going to break every traffic law," Azure muttered with a chuckle.

"Sometimes I wonder how she manages to survive without breaking some bones. If it's a car it's fine but a motorcycle is too risky," Silvia said with a shake of her head. Renly stood up and walked towards the elevator, since there's no work today as it was Saturday, he planned on going out to see a certain someone.

Seven hours, thirty minutes and forty four seconds. That's how long Zilvshun has stayed in the OR. The little fella they brought has a tumor growing in his brain and a couple of poisons in his blood stream. The tumor took five hours to remove and flashing of the poison took two hours and thirty minutes for the stitching and cleaning.

The surgery was tricky hence the doctors present didn't want to do anything that may endanger the little boy's life which she understood perfectly because the amount of poison in the child's body is very shockings. She wonders who was so heartless to do such a thing.

Zilvshun walked out of the OR tiredly.

"How's my son doctor?" an anxious voice asked. As Zilvshun raised her head to look at the person who asked the question she was shocked to see a whole extended family outside the OR. Zilvshun squinted her eyes at everyone for a second with an unnoticeable smirk at the corner of her lips.

The young man standing in front of her is no more than twenty seven years old and his beautiful wife who stood beside him looks no more than twenty four years old.

"Come with me. Bring your wife , your parents and grandparents along because my office can't contain all of you," Zilvshun said as she turned around and while the people she called followed her. Zilvshun opened the door to her large office as she took off her mask and hair net with a loud sigh. She stood by the door, allowing her patients family to enter the office befor? closing and locking the door.

"So how's my son?" the young man with honey-brown hair asked with a crack in his voice.

"He's fine but his body has shut down because of the traumatic experience he has been having for the past two years," Zilvshun said with a sad smile.

"Wh... what do you mean by traumatic experience?" the patient mother asked shakily.

"Yes, please explain," the middle aged man said with a frown.

"Well, you see. Your son has been experiencing abuse for a while now without any of you noticing because it's not physical and he seemed to like your company a lot which washes away any fear he has whenever you are around but he has seen something which a child at his age shouldn't but let's forget about that now," Zilvshun said as she grabbed a pen and paper.

"Your son has various poisons in his blood stream and some of this poisons can cause memory lose or lead one to grow a tumor in his brain which is what your son is experiencing right now that is why non of the doctors wanted to be involved in the surgery when you brought him because the surgery could have killed him," Zilvshun said as she wrote something on the paper.

"Ho....how? we all eats the same meal everyday so how is it possible that he was poisoned without our notice," the man's grandmother asked with a confused expression.

"Sorry to ask this but do you have any enemy who would want you down no matter what?" Zilvshun asked looking at the young man straight in the eyes which made him nervous.

"A couple of them, I mean I have many. From home to work place and even outside of it," he answered honestly while he fidget with the fingers of his wife.

"Damnit," Zilvshun muttered which they heard. " What's your son's name?" she asked as she got her phone from her pocket.

"Kristian Collins Larsen," the young man replied which she nodded at.

"Hello I have a work for you. Come to the hospital with your brothers," Zilvshun said hanging up without waiting for the other person's answer while the family looked at her in confusion.

"I want to keep your son safe. What do you say?" she asked with a serious face.

"In what way?" he asked without replying to her question.

"Apart from the seven of us, no one should know that your son survived the surgery. I mean they should know that he's in coma and it would last for years or he might not be able to survive it," she replied as Kristian's father looked at her in thought.

"Why would you want to protect our son?" Kristian's mother asked with doubt.

"Because your son saved me in the past," Zilvshun replied with a sad smile. "He was there for me when Ii thought I couldn't survived it. He would scold me whenever I had even a drop of alcohol," she added with a chuckle.

"So you know him. Is that why you risk everything fort him?" the young man asked with raise brows.

"He was there for me and I will risk everything for him and I'm gonna get to the bottom of this," she replied, her answer shocking them to the core.

"Okay. I'm in. I also want to know who dared to try killing my son," the young man said coldly while his family shuddered in dread for what's about to happen.

"Okay. I already informed the nurses what to say to your family in case they asked questions because in every affluence family there is always someone who tries to control things behind the curtains," Zilvshun said with a sigh which they agreed with. Many people may think it's a privilege to come from an influential family but only those in it could tell the dangers they encounter everyday, not even a seven years old is spared from their dirty games.

"I have a private island somewhere which I bought as a gift for your son for his eighth birthday. He always told me, he wanted a drama free environment where it would be only him and his family where no one would find them. He wanted it to seem as if he has disappeared with the six of you and his uncle and auntie so I thought why not make his dream come true. You're both the best parents he could ever asked for, you raised him well," Zilvshun added before standing up.

"Go see your boy. Meet me in an hour Mr. Larsen," she concluded.

"Okay and thank you for everything. I.. I don't know how to even put it into words," the young man said with a smile.

"Don't mention it, I'm glad I did," she replied as the family walked out.

The next couple of days was always busy for Zilvshun and she also didn't give a damn about Renly's behavior anymore, she is busy trying to get to the bottom of what happened to Kristian Larsen. She has gotten along with his family pretty good. Kristian's father is slowly loosing his cool whenever he sees his Son's emotionless body on that damn hospital bed and even Zilvshun is finding it hard not to break down in tears whenever she's near the little fella.
