"Let's go " she added leaving no room for argument"
Both of them made their way into the manor. One with nervousness while the other with determination in her eyes.
Nervousness because the young man wasn't sure if what he was doing was the right thing to do..
And determination because the young lady felt that it was the right thing he should do and something in her was telling her to not leave him to do it alone.
They entered the large enormous sitting room.
When was the last time he was here...?, he doesn't even remember, he thought secretly but it was as if fate was mocking him for not remembering so it did for him.
Flash Back***
"So you will choose her over your own family....?" a middle age woman with blonde hair asked on top of her voice but she didn't get any answer in return.
"When will you realize that young woman isn't good for you....? Why can't you see what we're seeing ..?" she asked in the same tone.
"Look at all of us. We've been with you since you were born so how could you choose someone else who hasn't been in your life for long over us...?" she asked calmly this time around but still there was no answer.
" Answer me.. damnit " she roared in frustration as if that will make the young man answer her.
Sighing in frustration she sat down on the couch behind her. She was too exhausted to ask him anymore questions.
"Are you certain that this girl is good for you...?" a middle age man asked but there's no reply from the young man who was standing in front of them with a lazy posture.
"Well since you don't want to answer our questions that is fine " the middle age man added calmly.
" Is she really worth denying your family for...?" an old woman's voice rang out calmly while looking at the young man blankly without a trace of emotion in her eyes.
The young man stood there without replying, just when everyone thought he wouldn't talk that's when he did.
"She's worth everything " he replied looking at them so that they could see the truth in his eyes.
His answer shuttered the last string of hope they had in him , no matter what they do or had said didn't change his mind or heart at all. How could he choose stranger over them....?
Did they really not mean anything to him anymore after he met that young woman...? and why can't he see what they've been seeing since he brought her home...?. This were the thought that were running through their heads.
"If you gets married to that girl then forget that you came from this family. So you can choose. So is it family or fiance ..?" the middle age man asked with raised brows which caused the others to give the young man an expectant glance.
The young man stood there for a few minutes before replying....
"Fiance, I choose her " he responded making his stance clear to them while they look at him with gaping mouths.
They couldn't believe what he just said . If someone should have told them in the past that this would happened they wouldn't had believe it.
"Alright" the middle age man said to him in a disappointed tone.
" You can get married to her but after that both of you will never be part of this family until I have witnessed how far her love for you is. You've gone this far for her so let's see how far she can go for you as well as your relationship. Untill then you can't come back'' the middle age man told the younger fellow his decision as well.
The young man turned around and walked out of the sitting room in large strides.
"Do you think that's the best decision for our son" the middle age woman with blonde hair asked the man after the younger one walked out.
"I don't know but we'll see* the man replied looking at the exit with pain in his eyes.
**** End of flashback
His fists clenched tightly as they both stood in the middle of the same sitting room in his memories. He thought in the past that this day or night wouldn't come.
He had thought that the day or night he comes back to his family he wouldn't be alone, he thought he would come with her and prove them wrong but here he's alone without her instead with a stranger who's name he doesn't even know yet
He wanted to laugh in mockery at his past self, he was so self centered that he had hurt those who loves him the most in his life. Looking back now he knew he was a fool, a very big fool back then.
The sound of something shuttering brought him out of his thoughts of the past.
The middle age woman with blonde hair and blue eyes in his memories widened her eyes at who she was seeing at that moment, she never thought this day would come.
If someone had told her in the past she would have laughed at the person's words, she would even deem the person mad or drunk to say such a thing.
"What's going on there...?" a voice that was familiar to him asked followed by a couple of footsteps which made the young man's body tensed with unease slightly.
"I told you to be careful with those glasses" the same voice said with a sigh while hurrying his footsteps .
As the footsteps of the man got closer and closer....., the young man's body tensed up more than before, he was looking anywhere but where that person would appear from.
"Calm down , you didn't kill anyone, everything will be fine as long as I'm here...." she whispered to him in a calm voice.
The young man wanted to laugh in amusement at this strangers words, he couldn't believe how calm she can be in such situation but her words were comforting to him.
It made him slightly determined .
"Why aren't you calling the maids to take care of this mess... sweetheart?" the middle age man asked the blonde hair woman in a gentle tone.
"What is wrong with you and why are you standing here stiffly as if you've seen a ghost...?" the man asked after he got to where the woman was standing.
The middle age man frowned at the woman who wasn't replying to his questions which prompted him to shake her slightly.
"Hey sweetheart, look at me and stop looking into space" he said while shaking her awake.
The blonde hair woman was brought out of her trance by the man, she looked at the man as if wanting to tell him something but at the end she couldn't say a word so she used her hand to turned the man's face to where his side was facing.
What the man saw made his eyes widened shock surprised slightly but he was quick to compose himself and hide his emotions.
The middle age man turned his eyes to look at the person standing beside the young man with raised brows, if he remembers correctly this isn't the young woman he brought home few years earlier but that wasn't what matters now so he turned back to the younger man and asked with raised brows.
"What're you doing here...?" he asked looking at the young man coldly.
"I..... I.... I'm..." the young man really couldn't put his words together in front of this two people.
His stutter made the older man look at him as if asking him why are you stuttering..? but he waited patiently for him to answer him.
"I just wants to have talk with you...?" the young man answered after much difficulty
"About what exactly....?" the middle age man asked again with his arms crossed over his chest.
"About the....eeerrrrmmm what I...." the young man became a stuttering mess in the presence of the middle age ones who were looking at him as if he was an alien.
Whiles all that was going on, the young woman holding his hand frowned slightly but not because of the guys actions instead she was frowning at something else, she has really tried to keep out of their family discussion but seems like she couldn't do it anymore.
She was the one who encouraged him to see his family so she can't just stand there and be a spectator. With all those thoughts in her mind she willed herself to talk to the middle age man and woman.
"Hello..., you might not know me but I think you should allow him to have a warm bath first before he tells you why he's here" the young lady said to them which brought them out of their starring contest .
"He doesn't stay here" the middle age man replied blankly. His aura suddenly getting darker.
"That doesn't matter now. Weather he stays here or not makes no difference to me because this is his home, this is where he was born and raised" she said looking at the middle age man straight in the eyes who raised his brows in return.
"Him being born and raised here doesn't matter as well " the man replied looking at her with a blank gaze. Looking at the man, the young woman knew he was not going to permit his son to walkz back into his arms.
