Chapter 32 - You must hurt the way I'm hurt

During lunch, Daniel chewed his food while his mind wandered elsewhere.

"You should have told your Dad that you weren't interested in dining with me." Dr. Kwan passive aggressively said as if calling for some attention.

"I have a lot in my mind but I don't want to treat you to a meal for saving my employee, so you should know I want to be here." He relented. Kwan was pleased to hear that since she didn't like forcing anyone.

Kwan then got a call from Nu Dee informing her that Fahsai would be at the dress fitting.

"If that makes you uncomfortable, we can pass on it today." Nu Dee offered and Kwan put the call on hold to ponder over it.

"I know Kwan very well, because that woman is going to show up at the dress shop and bite Fahsai like a dog." Nu Dee told her colleague Jane.

Kwan even had another, much tastier plan. She invited Daniel to tag along with her.

Chernming happened to be at the shop accompanying Fahsai as well, he showed off different dresses for the event but declined every one of them. They were looking comfortable and chummy when Daniel and Kwan walked in. Daniel peered at them and put on an indifferent face. Fahsai peered at them with hurt in her eyes.

Big Sis Fai spotted right hand man coming down the hospital escalator as she was going up. She waved for his attention and proceeded to walk backwards to him.

"It must be fate since we keep meeting. Can I have an hour of your time?" She asked him.

Daniel on the other hand checked his watch, looking around impatiently. He turned and saw Fahsai discussing a concept with another employee and he couldn't look away.

"Thanks for the opportunity to get closer to Fahsai." Chernming sidled next to him.

"You're abominable, using a woman as a tool to gain what you want." Daniel said.

"Your father is worse with what he did to Fahsai." Chernming retorted and Daniel clenched his jaws.

"I won't tell Fahsai about your father because I don't want to hurt her even more. Fahsai is starting to forget you." Chernming goaded.

Later, Fahsai composed herself to talk to Daniel.

"The Chief wants you to try out suits for the event." Fahsai told him and the latter turned away without a word.

In Daniel's dressing room, Fahsai poked her hand through the door and handed over a suit.

"Chief wants you to try this one out too." She said and he clenched his jaw again and angrily pulled her in the room, locking the door behind them. He pushed her against the wall.

"What are you doing? What do you want from me now?" Fahsai questioned.

Daniel spat, "A lesson to a traitor."

"I've already received my lesson." She retorted.

"Not a chance," he bit back. "It's not enough. You must hurt the way I'm hurt."

And then he pressed her lips against hers in a forced kiss. He went further to rip the side of her shirt and held her arms up. He kissed her again, and looked at her tear streaked face. And he went in for another round of forced kisses, but Fahsai screamed for Chernming's help.

He stepped back and released her, shocked at his own madness. Fahsai stormed out in tears. He looked at himself in the mirror and didn't like what he saw. He punched at his reflection, as if punching himself.

Fahsai tried to cover up her torn shirt as she called for Chernming's help. He took his jacket off for her and comforted her. Daniel stepped out, looking
