In a far-off location in America, a spacious but not too spacious, the house sits there. With its unkempt grass and mysterious ambiance of seeming haunted, along with the look of an old english style house. Keeps many from the house, but- there is a boy who calls it home.
"What was the last thing I was doing?" Waking up in bed blankly, he looks at the mirror reflection. Light blonde hair with medium length & dark brown hazel eyes, He smiles and walks out of the room.
"Wait a minute..." Panicking. He runs downstairs, Looking around the kitchen and the living room.
"Good morning Ren. Anything wrong?"
Looking at the woman standing in the kitchen, Who he looks exactly like. "Nothing really, Just happy it's my birthday."
Smiling at the woman, he asks her what's for breakfast.
"Oh, we're going out today. It is your birthday."
Kissing him on the forehead, she tells him to get ready to go out.
Walking into the room, he goes into the closet. "Let's see..." Grabbing a white T-Shir and putting on grey sweatpants. He puts on colorful Nike shoes.
Leaving the house.
"Sooo, Ren, it's your birthday... what do you want to go out to eat."
"I want some pancakes..."
"Good thing we're in America."
Pulling into iHop, they go in and eat.
After finishing their meal after 52 minutes, they go back home.
Telling Ren to sit down at the table. She goes and sits down with him, lightly smiling at him. "Ren, I been hiding something from you." She swiftly points her wand at a chair. Looking at the chair, it explodes.
"What..."
"Suprised?" Looking at him with expecting eyes. He sits there stunned.
Trying to speak, He only sits there with his mouth open.
"You're that shocked?" Laughing at his reaction, his mom waves the stick again.
"Well, let's go to England."
"England?"
The moment she said that everything shifted around outside.
_
August 15th, 1991, on quite a sunny day, in the same place but in a different location. The house sits there beautifully, with many creatures running around it. The sun's brightness reflects off of the old roof tiles perfectly.
The duo of mom and son. Sit there with a cake. This time there is someone else there with them.
"Happy 11th Birthday Ren!" Cutting through the cake, the mom places three slices on the three plates.
"Minerva, I'm glad you decided to stay for his birthday. I gotta say, seeing you again is quite the surprise."
"Think nothing of it, Ms. Che. I have some free time, and he's going to be one of my students, isn't he?" Calmly replying to her, Minerva eats the cake in front of her.
Irked by her sense of non-urgency, Ren looks at the two, somewhat amused.
"This is a great cake. Where did you get it? I know you can't cook that well, Remia."
"You got rid of being formal, huh?"
Still looking at the two, he just silently eats his cake.
After finishing the cake, "It's time to open up your presents!"
Nodding at his mom, he reaches for the first present, unwrapping it. It's just a notebook.
But it isn't some notebook. "Mom, why does this have only 6 pages?" Looking at her puzzled, she merely smiles. "Well, I'm glad you asked. This is a collaboration between us. I was hoping you'll add to it."
Simply nodding, Minerva hands him a letter. "Well, I don't have any gift for you right now. But I think this is something you have been waiting for. Ever since you learned of magic."
After giving him the letter, Minvera leaves the house.
"I'ma go read this letter, and start on this notebook."
Running up the stairs, he enters his room.
Opening the letter.
"Dear Mr. Ren Che

Professor Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress"
"Hogwarts? So this must be what my mom was talking about." Placing the letter down, I open up the book.
'This is for recorded purposes. I started writing this when I first learned I could do this!'
Looking at his mom's handwriting, he keeps reading.
'I have quite a unique ability. Or at least I think I do. My kid may have it. I don't know when I will have a kid. My family wants me to stick to traditions, but I can't. I found this muggle I like but- whatever, back to this magic. I woke up one day in school. 1972, my first year attending Hogwarts. I have red eyes.'
'Now, to activate the eye, it does take some time. Per-say, this takes a lot to master. I can now use it without magic. But I feel like I hit a brick wall.'
Spending the next few hours reading the notebook. Back to back, sitting on the floor, In a criss-cross position. Trying to feel the magic in his body, as his mom described it. He opens his eyes, feeling like everything around him is slow. He gets up.
*Knock, knock* Looking to his left side, he opens the door. "Oh, it seems like you got it. That was quick." Patting him on the head, she points to the window.
Looking out the window, all he sees is magic in the air.
"You can't see it in the room that much. Your eyes aren't strong enough to notice the small traces of magic. They are strong enough to note huge fractions."
Listening to his mom speak, he nods his head.
"Let's see what you need to bring this year?"
Changing the subject, she looks at the letter and the list.
