"So, you said your name was mark." An agent was sitting in front of me telling me questions like I was some type of celebrity.
Ever since I've come here, they've asked me the same questions with little variability and never the same agent. There isn't really a clock in the room so I can barely tell how long I've been here.
I've only been able to measure how many meals I've eaten which has reached 27.
I looked at him with little emotion "Yes, I'm Mark, at a young age I was taken away from my family by aliens and sold to a random alien. After spending a lot of time serving that alien, I was saved. the people who saved me decide to help me afterwards and take care of me. These people were rebels, they taught me how to survive and I repaid them by working with them. We basically went around freeing races from slavery. A little then a year ago I had started getting visions like someone was reaching out to me. These visions were fight between two groups."
The agent quickly wrote down all that I said without a second of doubt.

I looked at the man and had a slightly annoyed face. 'Thank God for False Bravado, without it anything I probably said would be instantly dismissed.
The man looked at me waiting for me to continue. "One being earth and the other being an alien army being led by some strong wizard or something. After a while the visions were so recurring that they began to hurt which caused me to come here."
"Do you have an idea on who this wizard could be." The agent looked me in the eye and began trying to probe me for more information. "Nope, the visons were never very descriptive. They only lead me here and told me the outcome of the battle that would happen." I lightly moved my head further conveying my lack of information.
"If this battle was so big, why didn't you bring backup." The agent seemed to feel a little uncertain about some of the info I gave him. 'Seems that the False Bravado isn't absolute.'
"2 years ago, there was a battle at a planet far from here. At this battle everyone I know was either killed or escaped. I was able to escape and so far, I've been exploring space. So, there is no backup only me" I looked him deep in the eye while saying this. He shook his head slightly in a apologetic manner.
After finishing his writing, he got up and walked out the room they had put me in. I got up from the table with two chairs and sat on the bed that was lined up with the wall. I looked at the ceiling and thought. 'Damn it, I'm definitely not getting out of here any time soon.'
A little bit after being in the car they blindfolded me and took me here. I have no clue where I am. Based on normal eating patterns I can guess that they fed me 3 times a day. There is also one more detail that I know. If I use the door, which is the only entrance and exit as north. The south wall that has a huge mirror on it is actually a one-way window.

Everyday three people are behind the mirror and watch me. I hear their heartbeats and their conversations from behind the mirror. Every now and then they switch and continue watching me. They often talk about me and my behavior. But today is very different.
I noticed that their heartbeats have been beating faster than usual. I also heard a small conversation that popped up. "He's about to arrive isn't he." "Yea I heard he wanted to personally see him." "Focus, we must stay observant on patient M."
'It seems that somethings going to happen today.' I silently sat on the bed and stared at the ceiling until I heard something abnormal.
I felt my heart quicken in pace. 'That's impossible, there's no way that's possible'. I noticed two people walk into the room behind the mirror. One of their heartbeats was so slow that you would've thought that they were dead.
"Is this patient M, he looks normal to me."
I could tell this was a man and I had an idea who it could be.
"Here, this is all the information that we could get out of the patient."
I could hear the slight sounds of paper moving before stopping.
"Seems like he could make a great asset to shield. But we don't know if he is safe to the public, so let's keep him here."
I looked down completely trying to hide my face. 'Damn how long could I be locked in here for.'
Suddenly a soft sound of ringing hit my ears.
"Sir, it seems black widow is having some trouble on a mission and might need some back up."
"Shit, is tony available."
"No, sir he's busy meeting with senators of a different country."
"Damn, we might have to send some men there. But if they got the widow pinned down then we might have to send some heavy hitters. But this mission was supposed to be a stealth mission."
I could tell that the man was thinking of his options.
I stood up and slowly walked towards the mirror before placing my hand on it. 'This might be risky but If it'll get me out of here then it's worth it.'
I heard everyone's heartbeats rise except the man.
"It seems like you are in need of some help." I looked at where the man should be with a serious gaze.
I heard everyone moving around and scrambling except for the man.
"Looks like the patient had more up his sleeve then we thought." I could tell from the man's tone he wasn't surprised by my actions but more intrigued.
"You noticed us this whole time."
I pointed towards my ears and replied, " One of my great talents from being a rebel".
"You seem like a good prophet, but fighting is completely different you said you were a rebel, but how do I know you weren't just in a group of self-righteous amateurs. I'm missing one more thing too. Why should I trust that you can safely save my agent."
His heartbeat hadn't risen at all the whole conversation I could tell he had absolute confidence in himself.
" I've fought in wars before including silent ones. I've fought armies that outnumbered us by a huge amount. I can't escape either. I was taken from earth long ago, I have nowhere to escape to. So, earth is basically a huge prison for me. So, either I save your agent, or I die trying but who knows."

"For someone who's been away from earth for so long you act just like a human."
I cracked a small smile.
"Seems like you have the necessary experience, but in my line of work people only do things for a certain price."
'The first part is done now all I have to do is capitalize on this opportunity.'
"If you allow me to live somewhere outside this place, somewhere in society I'll do whatever you want me to. You can even have someone be my caretaker I don't care."
After a while of nothing said he finally responded.
"Fine then, you have your freedom and I have my spider back. But first you'll have to prove that you're enough for the mission."
'I know it wouldn't be enough to just tell him. But with my skills I should be able to pass any test he gives me.' I balled my hand up thinking about what I would have to do to earn the ticket to my freedom.
"But if I must ask, why would you want to even be involved with earth's society. You've explored other worlds and ran from an enemy that you couldn't beat. If I were you, I wouldn't really want to even interact that much with modern society. I would also hope you found a better place than 21st century Earth."
I backed away from the mirror before turning away from the mirror and laying on the bed.
"Maybe I'm just homesickness or sick of being in the confinement for so long."
The man didn't say another word before walking out of the room. He walked away until he was out of my hearing range.
'That was easier than expected.'
I thought back on the experience and smiled.
'I know a person like you would never miss out on another superpowered individual, isn't that right Fury?'
