Both the fighters, seeing as they were now having to face two monsters and each other, had a general conscience so that they would deal with the monsters first before resuming their fight.
So each charged at their monsters in the hopes that each one of them could deal with their monster separately before continuing.
"Oh! What an interesting development, ladies and gentlemen! These two are eager to face off against these ferocious monsters, so let us give them what they want!" The announcer says
The giant wolf's demeanor changes, and just like a hunting dog when released off the leash, they fly into action with the fighters and monsters facing off against their respective partner.
Most people's attention was on the Kobold, who was significantly shorter than compared to the elf it was just fighting against, which was the main reason he drew so much attention to himself as the giant wolf tried biting his head off.
Ducking low, the Kobold uses this opportunity to get underneath the giant wolf and stab his sword into its exposed underbelly.
Blood and some intestines fall from the wolf's body, covering the Kobold in a crimson rain, as the wolf cries out in pain before collapsing to the ground unmoving, signifying that it was either dead or severely injured.
The Kobold, unfortunately, was caught underneath the giant wolf and was currently trying to pry himself out from underneath its body.
While the Kobold was enjoying his blood bath, the elf fighter dispatched his giant wolf with more grace. As the giant wolf charged the elf, the elf responded by leaping over the giant wolf at the last second with a green glow enveloping his body and, with a slash of his sword, beheading the giant wolf, effectively killing it.
With a quick blade flick, any excess blood is thrown into the sand, dying it red while the audience applauds the spectacle before them.
"Well, ladies and gentlemen, these two fighters have proven their worth in dispatching these low-tier monsters." The announcer's comments caused most people not to understand what was being said about low-tiered monsters
"Let's see how they can deal with this mid-tier monster!" The announcer shouts as, this time, one of the gates leading into the arena begins to open up, with its heavy iron bars rising and giving way to the dark void within
Once fully open, the elf gets into a fighting stance holding his sword in both hands and aiming at the gate, ready to strike down this next monster.
The Kobold, at this time, pries himself out from underneath the corpse of his giant wolf, and he hastily gathers his weaponry and gets into a fighting stance as well, with his shield pointed towards the door to defend himself while his sword hangs by his side.
Once the door has been drawn open wide, nothing comes out, leading to a tense silence on the arena floor, with both the elf and Kobold anxious about whatever is to come out from the inky black depths of the arena gate.
Plap!
That is until a green substance hops out of the darkness and takes the shape of a small squished sphere causing everyone in the stands to burst out laughing at such a silly creature that caused such a tense atmosphere.
The only people who were not laughing were those who knew what this creature was and the destructive properties that it could bring about. Thus, the elf and Kobold have looks of dread and fear under their helms as they slowly start to back away from the monster.
"Now then, ladies and gentlemen, don't think this simple-looking slime is not a threat; in fact, it is viewed as the most deadly monster anyone can ever face off against. However, words will not sway you, so let me allow the beast to speak for itself."
At those words, the slime shows its worth as the small sphered creature suddenly launches itself at the elf fighter with an inhumane speed that most people cannot follow as tendrils lash out, effectively grabbing the elf's sword and attaching themselves to his shoulders before launching the main body itself to the elf.
Panicking, the elf lets go of his sword and scrambles to take off his armor as quickly as possible before he cries out in anguish and frantically tries to tear off his armor to relieve himself of the pain.
However, he is unsuccessful as the slime shows its capabilities as soon, before the Kobold can do anything, a puddle of blood begins to form underneath the elf, and his cries grow silent.
Once the cries stop, the Doctor rushes out of his safe area and runs to the side of the elven warrior. The slime backs away and obediently waits away from everyone as the Doctor looks at the elf.
Checking his pulse, the Doctor finds one, but it is very faint and erratic at times showing that he is barely alive, so the Doctor removes the chest piece of his armor to see what exactly was the problem with the elf.
"Fuck..."
A horrid rancid smell of stomach fluids emanated from the elf's dreadful wound.
The best way to describe what the Doctor was seeing was that it looked like someone had decided to dump a lot of acid on the elf's stomach, which led the poor fellow to feel the pain of his insides being corroded and eaten away in a searing pain that attacked him.
It looked as if most of the internal organs of the intestines, liver, and stomach were damaged in some way or another, with the stomach now leaking out the digestive fluids inside onto the ground, mixing in with the blood from the gapping stomach hole.
It was impressive that the man was still alive; however, it was safe to say that he would die within the next minute if nothing were done, so the Doctor immediately employed his healing orb, which emitted its white light. Still, the Doctor grabbed the orb and placed it right above the wound.
The effects were immediate as the bleeding from the wound stopped immediately. Still, the elf was not out of danger, so he began to act quickly by taking out some of the healing potions he had on him and applying them to the destroyed internal organs to help with the healing process before worrying about actually patching up the wound area.
By the time the Doctor made sure all the major bleeding was healed, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
Looking up, he sees that one of his helpers had brought a stretcher for him to place the elf on so that they could move the elf out of the arena and to someplace more private and sanitary for healing people.
He would need someplace to operate, and no one wanted to see him work on someone with one foot in the grave.
After placing the elf on the stretcher that the two employees brought with them, the three of them run into the arena into the Doctor's medical area, where he has the elf placed on an empty table and pushes the employees out so they can be on standby in case anyone else gets hurt in the fights.
Focusing his attention on the elf on the table, the Doctor immediately sets out to ensure that he lives long enough for any family members to come down here to say their goodbyes or for him to write out a will or letter.
Pulling various herbs, tools, a clean cloth, and alcohol, the Doctor sets out to save the elf's life.
Cleaning away the blood and stomach acid from the elf was a hassle but necessary to ensure that nothing else was eaten away by the slime he had missed.
Thankfully everything major seemed to be patched up for the most part, so the only real problem was the gaping hole and the eaten-away intestine that was eaten in half.
Nothing could fix the intestines unless by high-tier magic. Still, the Doctor did not know the regeneration spell, nor did he have a spell scroll to utilize, so he would have to shorten the elf's intestine, which was going to be enough to keep him alive, but it may cause problems for him in the future.
Still, it is a small price to pay for living; even at the cost of one bowels, it would still be better to live. The elf may find a way to heal himself, so there is always that.
Pushing aside meaningless thoughts, the Doctor begins working on the patient to ensure that he lives to see past the next hour.
A/N: I don't have any medical knowledge, so I either look this up and think to myself how would this be dealt with, or I use the wonders of magic to help with it, alright so if something seems weird, then roll with it please since I am the furthest thing away from a doctor and I am only writing this cause I enjoy stories
