My grin became even wider. She continued to nod her head as she listened to what he had to say. "Angels, Fallen Angels, and Demons... I'm sure you know about them since they are significant entities in the Bible," he said. "The trouble is that everything I stated is absolutely true."
Her piercing blue eyes widened in utter disbelief. "What?" Her voice was hoarse as she looked at me with eyes that were dilated and wide open.
I gave a thoughtful nod. "Yes. It is exactly as you have heard. Monsters? They exist. Greek gods? Real. Gods in Shinto? They're real. Indian Gods? Real. Gods of Ancient Egypt? Real. Norse Gods? Real. Dragons?" I gave her a sly grin before manifesting my version of Boosted Gear in only one arm, right in front of her shaking eyes as she was stunned. "Genuine in every single way. Devils? Real. Angels? Real. Fallen Angels? Real. The deity described in the Bible..." Before continuing, I paused for a little period of time to heighten the sense of anticipation and then I turned off Boosted Gear. "This is also very much the case."
Even though Asia was shaking from shock, she was able to keep her voice. "But, but, if God is real, then why does he allow all of the misery that exists in the world to continue even though he loves each and every one of us? Why does he allow conflicts to go place yet the book that he prompted to be written talks about peace?" She took a deep breath in and continued, her voice cracking with discomfort. "Why did he leave me when I needed him the most, even though I prayed to him every waking second?" "Even though I prayed to him every waking second."
I was overcome with genuine compassion for the young lady, and I continued with a low tone of voice. This was exactly what she needed to hear. "Because everything is more complicated than it first appears, Asia-chan. I can assure you that God did not behave or act in the way that is depicted in the Bible. He was by no means a villain, but neither was he "perfect" as the Bible portrays him to be. He was neither good nor bad. In point of fact, the God of the Bible has a personality that could be described as "human." He was self-centered towards the people he loved. He had a wide range of irrational fears. He had love. He detested. He was terrified. And in the end... he passed away."
As Asia looked at me with a terrified and terrified expression on her face, her eyes looked like supper sauces. "Wha-what?"
I nodded. "In the distant past, the Angels, led by God and his Archangels and Seraphs, the Fallen Angels, led by Azazel and Baraqiel, and the Devils, led by the four satans, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan, and Asmodeous, fought in The Last Holy War. God and his Archangels and Seraphs were in charge of the Angels. It is not entirely clear why the war broke out, but what is known is that the God of the Bible was concerned about the possibility of losing his power station. At the time, there were more fallen angels than angels, and the number of people seeking the assistance of devils was growing. Both of these factors contributed to the conflict. The tension ultimately resulted in bloodshed, and then war was fought. Bloodshed and anarchy were the norm throughout the realms until the Three Factions were pressured into cooperating in order to slay the Two Heavenly Dragons, Ddraig and Albion. In case you were wondering, yes, you might say that I am the reincarnation of Ddraig."
You have your wish.
I chose to ignore the dragon that was rumbling around in my thoughts and carry on with the narrative that I had partly made up. It was imperative that I present God in the most negative light possible while yet maintaining an objective tone, and this wasn't an easy task by any means. "When this occurred, the Fallen Angels attempted to withdraw from the conflict; but, God did not let this since he believes that his "children that he made" should always follow him. But, they were able to get away when the last fight between God and the Four Great Satans, which ended in both sides being killed, was fought. Following that, the Three Factions put an end to the fighting and entered into a state of strained neutrality since their numbers were tiny and they needed time to recuperate from their defeats. To my knowledge, the fragile peace had not been jeopardised up to that point, and if I had not stepped in when I did, another holy war would have broken out."
Even though it appeared like Asia had calmed down, there was an empty expression on her face. She shook her head and muttered, "I don't understand," as she looked down at the ground while her cute face was framed by her blond hair which was hanging limply. "I don't understand," she said.
"The Devils have ownership of Kuoh." When I started, she made a twitching motion, but other than that, it didn't seem to affect her any more than the information that I have already disclosed did. "The Three Factions are aware of this information; despite this, some Fallen Angels came to the conclusion that it wouldn't make a difference if they took action in this location. They came to Kuoh with two purposes: To kill me if I proved to be a threat, which I already proved I am, by the way. And to extract your Sacred Gear from you, which would've resulted in your death."
Asia raised her head and there was curiosity in her dull eyes. "Sacred Gear?"
I gave her a kind grin. "Although it's possible that the God of the Bible has passed away." I paid no attention to her flinching. "His strength does not consist of. You are one of the fortunate few people to have been granted access to certain portions of his power, as is your right. Your Twilight Healing is a piece of Holy Gear that derives its power from God's ability to heal any wound. So, you were correct in asserting that God was the one who endowed you with such gift; yet, your explanation was quite precise "I confessed it with a rather dry tone.
Asia cast another gaze below. She mumbled, "So much good it did me," and I could hear the resentment in her voice as she spoke the words.
I got to my feet, walked up to her, and gave her a reassuring squeeze on the shoulders, and she looked up at me with eyes that were full of uncertainty. "I am sure that you have endured a great deal of suffering, Asia, as a result of your ability to cure others; but, I can't in good conscience urge you to forget about it and move on with your life." I gave her a kind grin.
"What I can tell you, though, is that you possess a magnificent ability that is capable of doing incredible things, and that you should not feel embarrassed of it or dislike it in any way. It is possible that it was the cause of your pain; nonetheless, it still possesses the potential to cure.
Do not forget what has occurred to you since the things that have happened to you are what have allowed you to develop into a stronger person. Asia-chan, you are a girl who is both great and attractive.
That sorrowful face doesn't suit you. You should already know this. We are friends, and I am here for everything you might want, but I am not going to stand by and let any Fallen Angels to act however they choose."
