I-jun's pov
After I went out to the king's chamber, I sighed while holding my chest. I cannot believe someone saw us sleeping together. And it was even the eunuch whom I asked to allow me to enter his Highness's chamber. I felt the redness of my cheeks. I have never felt this feeling before, never thought that I would experience it with the fictional character of this story.
I sighed again. I shouldn't feel the feelings I felt. I need to control my emotion, especially getting involve too much with the king.
"But I am already involve when I agree to marry him." my other thought whispered.
I put my palms on my face. It was so awkward that I don't know how to treat him this lunch. Should I tell him that I cannot go? But it is important for the king since we will talk about the wedding, OUR WEDDING.
I sighed again.How many times should I sighed? My mind was not in the right track. I was confuse about my feelings, I was confuse about the scenario. In short, I was confuse of everything.
I sighed again.
"You keep on sighing."
I didn't notice that someone was behind my back. As I turned around, I saw Min Yun.
"You're here!"
" I will visit the king before I go to the office. How about you, what are you doing here?"
I didn't respond right away. Should I tell him that we slept together?
"Are you okay? Your face looks red."
I tried to hide my face through my arms. "I think I am sick." I lied.
"You are?" Min Yun looked worried.
Shoot. I made him worried.
"I will just take a medicine. You can go to the king's chamber now."
"I think you need me first."
I shrugged my head. "I'm fine. The king needs you the most. Go on."
"Do you have updates about the book?"
Oh, right! I almost forgot.
"The book warned me that Bok A will be saved by someone."
"Since when did the book warned you?"
"Last night." I bit my lower lip. What if Bok A was gone? It is my fault because I went to help the king first. But the king is the most important person here.
"It also warned me that the king would be having a nightmare. I was scared and couldn't choose between the two. I wanted to go to your chamber but I was worried with the king. What if something might happen to him?"
"If I knew about it, I would stay in your chamber."
"That's what I thought but it already happened. If Bok A escaped, I will just find her."
"I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. You made a right choice. King's first before the others."
I nodded.
"I need to go to the king's chamber. I have something to tell him."
I nodded and bid our goodbye. I went to my quarter and took a bath and dress up myself beautifully for our lunch later.
I spend 1 hour to beautify myself. After I looked in the mirror and confirmed that I look fine, I decided to go out and went to the garden where we first had our lunch. I haven't eaten my breakfast yet because I woke up late.
I didn't saw the king but I saw the servants who were standing below the pavilion.
"Your Highness" they greeted me with a bow.
I smiled and greeted them too. I looked around the garden. I never felt this happy seeing flowers in the garden. It was soothing in my eyes.
"Do you want a tea, Your Highness?" the young servant asked me.
"I will just wait for the king." I responded.
She nodded and went back to her position. I waited for 15 minutes before the king arrived.
He looked fresh just like before. His white suit really suited to his white skin. He really looked like a respectable king. No wonder why Kim Man Shik's daughter was inlove of him.
"Did you wait too long?" he asked smiling.
"Not too long. I enjoyed the scenery. Thanks for helding the lunch here. "
"Last time I saw you, You liked the garden a lot."
"I never liked flowers before. But after seeing this beautiful scenery made my mind changed."
"Shall we eat?"
"Did you have your breakfast?"
"I haven't. We woke up late a while ago."
I saw the servants who were serving food stunned on what they have heard.
"Is it okay to talk about our wedding here? with them?" I poined the 5 servants who were in the garden.
"They leave after they will serve the food. Let's sit now."
I nodded and sat facing him. I couldn't help but remember the scene last time.
Asking me to sleep with him made it awkward.
"Here's the tea." the king served me by putting a tea on my cup.
"Thank you. Shall I serve you too?"
"We looked like a married couple." he smiled again.
I awkwardly smiled.
"We should used to it." the king said then sipped on his cup.
We started eating because we were both hungry. I think it was already late in the afternoon and we haven't eaten our breakfast yet. The foods were tasty and I liked it very much. Though the servings were for 10 people I guess.
"When should we held our wedding?" the king cut off the silence.
I munched the food in my mouth first before I answered. "What do you think?"
"I think as soon as possible."
"If I will become the queen, I won't be able to investigate with Min Yun and Ji han. Should we delay it at least? Maybe 2 months before the wedding?"
"I'm planning to make it next month."
I nodded. " We can have it next month. I'll tell Min Yun about it so that we could find evidence as soon as possible."
"I don't want to pressure you but Kim Man Shik surely told the ministers about us. After that, they will keep pressuring me and then if I didn't give them the exact date, they will surely think that I was lying."
"Did Kim Man Shik's daughter bothering you?"
"She's been silent for 1 week."
yeah. she's silent because of what she did to me.
"I'll prepare everything that we need. But we should officially announced it in front of the people. "
"When will we do that?"
"Next week."
I nodded again. Everything was so fast but I know it will ruined the reputation of the king if I would not follow it.
"Are you really sure about-----"
I cut him off. "Your Highness, how many times should I tell you that it is my will to help you? I am not hesitant but you are. I should be the one to ask you about it, Are you sure you want to get married with me?"
He was taken aback on what I have said.
"I didn't mean that. I was just worried because you sacrifice yourself to help me. Did your family know about our plan? The only person I knew who know about this is Min Yun."
Right! I didn't think about my family. It is a tradition to meet the parents of both side to get their blessings.
"Should we visit your family one of these days?"
"I'll tell Min Yun." I became nervous thinking that who would act as my parents.
Luckily he just nodded and didn't notice something.
"Just tell me when will that be. I need to talk to them before our official announcement."
One month is too short for this preparation. I needed to pretend althroughout the preparation. I sighed, it is getting heavier everytime I lied to the king and to the other people who didn't know the real me. But it would affect my life if I become honest about my identity. I couldn't even risk Min Yun, who helped me at hiding my true self.
We finished eating and sipped our tea for digestion. As I looked at the king, he was very excited about the wedding. It looked like a real wedding where the couple loved each other. I sighed, I know I just did it to help the king and I know the king grabbed it to help himself gained his power.
It will also be advantage to me since I will be gaining my power as a queen.
"I am really full now. Shall we take a walk?" he asked.
I nodded. We stood up and I roamed around. The place was so peaceful and fresh.
"Do you want to make another bouquet?" he asked.
"As much as I want to but I need to go to Min Yun to help him about your case. "
he nodded but I saw the sadness in his eyes.
"Do you think I could sleep later?" he asked.
"What do you mean?"
"This was the first time I slept for too long. I haven't experience it after the late king died."
"No medicine can cure you?"
"You cured me." he said.
I blushed but I tried to ignore it.
"Thanks for the lunch." I changed the topic.
"May I ask?"
"Sure. " I said.
"Can you sleep with me after we got married? Don't worry I won't do any harm. I just need some companion to sleep with me."
"Sure. "
"You mean it?"
"After all we need to pretend like a real couple so that no one will notice. " I explained.
"Thanks"
"You're welcome" I laughed.
After the conversation, I asked the king if he would allow me to go to Min Yun's office.
"Yes, you can. I will go to the library also to read."
I smiled and walked away.
As I was walking, I noticed a familiar face.
"Bok A? with Kim Man Shik?"
I tried to look for my phone to capture it as our evidence but I cursed when I realized that I don't have a phone. I also couldn't use it as evidence because they don't know what phone is.
What should I do? I shouldn't let it go. I tried to get near them to hear what they were talking. So Kim Man Shik let Bok A escaped in the jail. And she was just here in the palace as if she was not a criminal!
"Do your job properly. You are too lucky I didn't kill you." Kim Man Shik angrily said.
"As if you didn't want to kill me. The master told you to spare me right?"
Master? who was it?
"He is too young to be called master." Kim Man Shik said.
"But he was more powerful than you."
Who was it? Can you name it now please?
"Kill I-jun and the king. Make sure that the wedding will not even start."
My mouth got bigger when I heard it. Thankfully I didn't gasp because it would create a sound.
"No need to tell me. It was my mission since then. I also wanted to kill Min Yun."
I saw Kim Man Shik grinned like a pervert asshole.
"If that will happen, I will be more powerful."
"Yeah. Just what the master have planned."
I saw Kim Man Shik grimaced.
