Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: moving

Kylie alighted from the taxi in front of a bungalow and walked into the house. As she shut the door behind her she saw her mother Mrs Howells Jayden who sat on one of the sofas in the sitting room. she looked around noticing how half empty the house was. The pictures which usually hung on the wall was no longer there and there were different sizes of box packed to one corner of the sitting room, all of which indicated that they were ready to move.

It had been a month now that her father Mr Howells Lucas decided that they should relocate to Andalusia because he got a transfer from his work place and he wanted them to come with him. Kylie did not like the idea , she didn't want to leave but her father did not buy any excuse she made to stay. so, during this month before they leave she made a list on things she wanted to do and today's was the last.

she sat on the sofa opposite her mother " Hi mom" she greeted.

" It must have been hard for you to suddenly end things like this. I know that and your father does too, but life in Andalusia won't be anything less than it is here" Jayden consoled her daughter.

" But I had to cancel my training class and the music class I just signed up for and I can't even attend the college I've always wanted".

" There are colleges and music classes in Andalusia you know?" Jayden said again but Kylie didn't reply she only wore a sad expression.

" Come here" her mother said extending her hand to which Kylie took ,she placed her head on her mother's lap while Jayden patted her back slowly.

" I know that you did not want us to move, but we can't stay here forever, it is important that we leave besides she will love it there in Andalusia, there are a lot of places that you will find amazing ".

" I know but ...apart from what I had to leave here, I kept having this strange feeling as if, well I don't know it's just all too unfamiliar " Kylie said as she began to doze off. After a while Jayden looked at her daughter with a worried expression and muttered " It would".
