Chapter 9 - Team members

"You have twenty minutes to find your partner" said a guard to all of the participant

As the guard's words echoed through the room, Araquiel and Zivrir exchanged a quick glance showing that it will be better to team up. They knew they needed to find more team members for the final test, but they also knew it would take someone with a certain level of strength and determination to succeed.

As they scanned the room, they spotted a lone student sitting by herself, looking fierce and unapproachable. Araquiel hesitated for a moment but decided to approach her. "Hey, we're putting together a team for the final test. Would you like to join us?"

The student looked up at Araquiel with a cold stare, but after a few seconds, she nodded her head. "Fine. But I don't need any help from anyone."

Araquiel and Zivrir exchanged another glance. The new teammate had red hair, red eyes, and was very muscular. She had four arms, each with bulging muscles, and was wearing something that looked like sports gear. Zivrir was immediately drawn to her, but Araquiel couldn't help but wonder if Zivrir had a thing for muscular women.

They introduced themselves, with Vorlosva being the last to go. She didn't say much in response, only giving a curt nod before returning to her own thoughts. Zivrir tried to start a conversation, but it was clear that Vorlosva was not interested in small talk.

Despite her cold demeanor, they knew they needed her on the team. She was from a race called Screvrax, known for their incredible strength and resilience. And as they watched her move, they couldn't help but feel impressed by her physical prowess.

As they continued to search for more team members, Araquiel couldn't help but remark to Zivrir, "Is it just me or do you have a thing for muscular women?"

Zivrir blushed. "What? No, I was just impressed by her strength. That's all."

Araquiel raised an eyebrow. "Sure, Zivrir. Whatever you say."

As they continued their search for more team members, they soon came across two tweens, a boy and a girl. The boy had striking white hair that contrasted with his deep black eyes, while the girl had luscious black hair and piercing white eyes. Both were dressed in casual clothing, but their natural beauty still shone through.

Araquiel and Zivrir introduced themselves and told them that they wanted to for a team with them and the tweens seemed genuinely interested. The boy, Nivis Hyperion, was quite tall for his age, and his confident demeanor suggested he was no stranger to physical activity. The girl, Vellis Hyperion, was shorter than Nivis, but she had a grace about her that hinted at her own physical prowess.

As they chatted, Araquiel couldn't help but notice the striking contrast between Nivis and Vellis. He found himself drawn to Vellis's dark hair and white eyes, while Zivrir seemed more impressed by Nivis's beauty but he still thought that Vorlosva was better.

As they continued to talk, the team quickly realized that Nivis and Vellis were not only skilled, but also friendly and easy to talk to. They quickly agreed to join the team, and the group felt more confident in their chances of success.

Araquiel and Zivrir also introduced the new team members to Vorlosva, who was still as cold as ever. Zivrir tried to explain to Nivis and Vellis that Vorlosva was not unfriendly, but simply had probably trouble expressing her feelings. However, Vorlosva remained distant and aloof, not bothering to engage in the conversation.

Araquiel couldn't help but feel a bit frustrated with Vorlosva's behavior. He knew that it would be difficult to work with someone who was so closed off, but he also recognized that everyone had their own way of dealing with things. He hoped that as they worked together, Vorlosva would start to open up and become more comfortable with the group.

"Good now that the groupe is created with don't we introduce ourselves" said Zivrir

Araquiel nodded in agreement with Zivrir's suggestion.Araquiel turned to Vorlosva and said, "Why don't you introduce yourself to the group?"

Vorlosva seemed reluctant at first but she still decided to do it. She took a deep breath and spoke. "My name is Vorlosva, I am 190 years old and I come from the Screvrax race. We are known for our four arms, shark-like teeth, red hair and eyes, as well as our strength and battle sense. I have spent much of my life training in combat, I don't like people invading my private space and those who are weak minded and what I like is none of your concern."

Araquiel noticed that Vorlosva seemed to be holding something back, and he asked, "Is there anything else you would like to add?"

Vorlosva responded coldly and simply. "No."

Araquiel nodded, deciding to do not bother with Vorlosva's privacy. He turned to Nivis and said, "And you?"

Nivis smiled and spoke in a calm voice. "My name is Nivis Hyperion, and I am an evolved human. I have been alive for over 200 years, and in that time, I have seen many interesting things. I joined the Interstellar union because I want to know the true meaning of Justice."

Nivis continued, "In my free time, I enjoy reading ancient texts and studying history. I also like to practice my combat skills and meditate to clear my mind. I have a deep appreciation for nature and all its wonders."

Araquiel listened intently, intrigued by Nivis's long life and his dedication to find the true meaning of what is called Justice. He turned to the next to Vellis and said, "And you? are you similar to your brother?"

Vellis smiled as Araquiel addressed her. "Yes, Nivis and I share some interests, but we also have our differences. I am an evolved dragonoid, and since we're tweens I have also lived for over 200 years."

Vellis continued, "My abilities lie in amplification. I can enhance the abilities of others, but I cannot heal their wounds."

Araquiel was curious and asked, "What is it like being an evolved dragonoid? I've never met one before."

Vellis replied, "It's quite different from being a human, that's for sure. I'm a mix between an evolved human and a dragon. We have different abilities and a different way of looking at things. But at the end of the day, we all want the same thing - to protect our everyday life."

Araquiel nodded in agreement. "That's true. And your skills as an amplifier will be a valuable asset to our team."

Vellis smiled, "I hope so. I have been practicing my abilities for many years, and I am confident in my ability to amplify the skills of others."

Araquiel turned to the next member of the group and said, "Well it's your turn Zivrir." he said, gesturing towards him.

Zivrir stepped forward. "As you can see, I am a dark elf," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I am 210 years old, which may seem young for my kind, but I assure you, I have seen and experienced much in my time."

He paused for a moment, his gaze drifting to the horizon as if lost in thought. "I hail from the Ygggdrasil univers, a place of great beauty and danger. It is a place of intrigue, where every move you make could be your last. But it is also a place of great power, and I have learned to harness that power to serve my own ends."

Zivrir's eyes narrowed slightly as he turned to face the group once more. "I have honed my skills in both magic and combat, and I am not afraid to use them to achieve my goals. But I also understand the value of working together, and I look forward to collaborating with each of you."

"Now it's my turn to present myself" said Araquiel said with a polite bow. "My name is Araquiel Lucitor, I'm 190 years old, and I am a nephilim. For those who may not be familiar with the term, a nephilim is a being born between an angel and a demon."

"I come from the Abyss Realm, which is a place that many might consider to be quite inhospitable. But it has it own charm. As a nephilim, I possess unique abilities that allow me to excel in many different areas in manipulating different energy such as Purity, corruption and magic."

"I have been honing my skills for nearly 100 years now, and I am always looking for new challenges to help me grow even stronger. I believe that life is a journey of constant learning and growth, and I am excited to see where my path will lead me next."

Araquiel paused for a moment, surveying the room and taking in the reactions of those around him. "I hope that I have given you a glimpse into who I am and what I stand for. If anyone has any questions or would like to know more, I am happy to answer them."

After introducing themselves, Araquiel sat in awkward silence for a few minutes. Suddenly, they heard footsteps approaching from down the hallway. A guard appeared at the door, holding a large box in their hands.

"Good morning," the guard said, as they set the box down on the table in front of many participant. "I'm here to deliver your equipment."

As the guard arrived with the box, the participants couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building inside of them. As the guard opened the box, they were surprised to see that it contained small, shimmering crystals of various colors and sizes.

"These crystals are not just communication devices," the guard said. "They are infused with advanced nanotechnology that will transform into clothes and weapons that are adequate for each of you."

The guard handed each of them a crystal and demonstrated how to activate it. As they commanded the crystal to activate, they were astonished to see that it transformed into a durable set of clothing that fit them perfectly. The clothes were made of a special fabric that was designed to withstand extreme conditions and protect the wearer from harm.

Not only that, but the crystals also transformed into unique weapons that were perfectly suited to each individual's fighting style. One person received a sword, another received a pair of blasters, another some sort of electric claw.

"Amazing," one of them said, admiring their weapon.

But the surprises didn't end there. The crystals also had a voice-activated feature that allowed them to display each candidate's name, race, age, energy level, it also calcul their points for the test and has many other function. All they had to do was say the word "appear," and the information would be displayed for all to see.

"Appear," one of them said, and their stats appeared in a holographic display in front of them.

After 2 minutes Lyra appeared again to give them some details about the planet where they would be transferred. "Zillon 52 is where you will take this test," she paused then added "it's a class M planet located in the Solymus Galaxy," she began. "It has a similar atmosphere and environmental conditions to a normal planet, with a breathable atmosphere and a diverse range of flora and fauna. However, there are some notable differences that you should be aware of."

She brought up a 3D hologram of the planet, which showed four distinct regions: a tropical rainforest, an arid desert, a frozen tundra, and a vast ocean that covered nearly a third of the planet's surface. "Each region presents its own unique challenges and opportunities, and your ability to adapt and thrive in each environment will be a key factor in your success," she explained.

Lyra then provided more details about each region. "The tropical rainforest is known for its dense vegetation, high humidity, and frequent rainstorms. You'll need to be careful of poisonous plants and animals, as well as flash floods and landslides. The arid desert is extremely hot and dry, with little water and scarce resources. You'll need to conserve your energy and ration your supplies wisely to survive."

She then moved to the frozen tundra, pointing out that in some parts of this region, the temperature can drop to near absolute zero. "You'll need to be extremely careful if you find yourself in one of these areas, as the cold can be deadly."

Finally, Lyra showed the vast ocean, which was home to a wide variety of marine life, including some dangerous predators. "You'll need to watch out for these creatures as you explore the ocean, but you should know that we are always monitoring the planet and have put measures in place to keep the space monsters under control."

Lyra concluded by reminding them of their objectives. "Your objective is to obtain 100 million points and also if you want to give up, you just need to say I give up and you will be immediately teleported back here. You'll have limited resources and time, so make the most of every opportunity. Good luck!"
