His body felt warm as the blanket that enveloped him became uncomfortable, prompting him to uncover himself. Ezra slowly blinked his eyes, gazing up at the white ceiling. The room was illuminated by the bright sunlight streaming in through the window, the aroma of coffee wafting in the air woke him up even more.
Ezra rubbed his eyes, realizing he had slept more soundly than usual. For the first time in a while, he felt refreshed. He sat up and calmly blinked his eyes. This is not my room. As he noticed this, a sudden feeling of embarrassment spread across his cheeks.
What did I do yesterday? Oh, it was so embarrassing.
Ezra covered his burning face with both hands. But then, suddenly a voice called out to him that caused him to jerked his head. It was a familiar rough voice that never failed to make his heart race. Damn, he needed to stay calm.
"Hey, diligent cat, finally awake."
