Chapter 86 - Outcome
-
Frustration, bewilderment, and Pain.
That's the 3 feelings I felt when I woke-up from my slumber—which for some reason, disappeared instantly. Despite of my mind that's still in need of warming-up, I all the things that happened before I passed-out we're as clear as day as I remembered.
This is the worst... I thought to myself.
My eyes hurts when I tried to slowly open them. The same could be said to my whole body that's in so much pain just by moving even just a tiny bit. If I got to say, this is probably the hardest I've experienced as I try to wake-up.
I took a small breath and with a little push, I slowly rose my body into the bed. My eyes were also starting to adjust to the brightness of the room. Looking at it, I was currently on a small room with some furniture I didn't recognize. By how the room was designated, I'd say I was at an infirmary of some sort. Also...
"Akari...? and Luna...?"
To my surprise, Akari and Luna, were both sitting on a chair opposite into each other—and is using the part of my bed as to rest their heads as they sleep. Really... their extreme solicitude towards me made me felt like drowning on those feelings. In any case, they were sleeping at a bad posture that I felt stiff just by looking at them.
"Akari, Luna, wake-up you two..." I lightly tap them into their shoulders as I gently call their name. Briefly after and I saw the two started to wake-up. "Your body will start to hurt if you stay like that."
Both of them rubs their eyes as they arouse from their sleep. The two looked at me as if trying to recognize me, but as soon as their brain started to warmed-up...
"?! Master!!!"
"?! Aruji-sama!!"
The two leaped in delight and embraced me tightly in both my arms. Normally, I would muse like that I was in a heaven or some sort, but right now is...
"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" I gritted my teeth in pain as I groan. "I-I appreciate the concern but can you two please let go for now...? It hurts..."
""Ah!"" The two immediately let go into my arms and apologized. ""I'm sorry, Master/Aruji-sama.""
"It's fine." I replied and let out a small sigh. The two went back into their seat as they looked at me meticulously. It was a bit awkward being stared at, but I ignored it and decided to ponder what to do next. But was left in shock when I saw Luna's tears started to fall into her cheeks along with Akari who was quietly looking down and is pressing her lips dejectedly.
"Wha—?! Is something wrong you two?!"
"Sob! I-It's nothing... I'm really just glad you're okay, Master." Luna gratefully said as she wipes her tears, then rose into the chair hurriedly. "I'm going to go get the others. Akari, stay with Master."
"Mhm!" Akari firmly nodded in response. "Leave Aruji-sama to me."
After getting her answer thus Luna began to sprint and hurriedly left the room. Just like how she was assigned into, Akari has her eyes fully locked towards me with her lips tightened up. She's very keen towards me that she looks like a loyal dog that's firmed on protecting his owner.
"..."
"..."
The eerie silence reverberates the room for quite a while. Akari just looked at me without saying anything. This girl... sometimes, I don't even know what's going on inside her head.
"Akari, I've been meaning to ask." I confusedly asked. "But aren't you and Luna were acting very weird since earlier?"
I've been eager to know this since earlier. They wouldn't overreact like that if nothing really came happened after I passed out.
"Ah." Akari's eyes widened as to realize the situation. "I forgot Aruji-sama didn't know. You passed out after all. but..."
Akari abruptly paused and began to ponder something. So something did really happen after all. It might be the reason why my body was so sore right now.
"And then, what happened?" I asked.
"Allow me to answer your question then."
My attention immediately shifted into the voice of a man who casually went inside the room and interjected in our conversation.
Known for his badass black jacket that's really out of this age and his tattoos on his arms, this guy with an informal look that smells a real delinquent firmly stood before me.
"Jett Midnight, huh." I calmly said with a composed demeanor. "I'm sure you have something with me, but can't we do it later? Surely, you're not the type to attack defenseless person like me."
"Surely, you jest. Even with your situation, I doubt I can win the fight without a scratch. Moreover, I actually came here to do the opposite." Jett paused briefly as to resolve himself. "The thing is—"
"Master, were here!" Jett was unintentionally interrupted by Luna who informed me about the others. After then came Lily and Seia who hurriedly came into me in solicitude.
"Sai! Are you okay?! Are you hurt anywhere?!"
"Sai!! I'm so glad you're okay! Ugh..."
Looks like these girls were so anxious that they didn't notice that I'm currently at a conversation with Jett. I'm really glad it was Jett though—he won't mind this kind of inconvenience since he's better than that. Am I right—
Woah?! Why are you staring dagger at me like you won't hesitate to kill me?!
"Kuh...!!" Jett furiously bit his lips that blood started to drip. "I'll never forgive you Handsomes!"
After a moment came the rest of the others. Uwah?! Why is there so many of them here? It became really crowded all of a sudden! Mostly are the one I'm familiar with but even Vice, Miss Sherry, and that green-haired girl I've fought before were also present.
Hm? Where's Sora? That's weird, Astra was here he isn't. Maybe something happened...is what I like to think but my attention was fully lock on a woman who came after.
A black short curly haired woman with a fierce demeanor is someone whom I didn't recognize. She wore an antagonistic sexy dress added with a beautiful violet gemstone in her neck that's elegantly identical with her gemlike iris.
"Oh? That was surprising." The woman who seemed to notice my attention into her said so. "Based on what I heard to your friends here, I had thought that you'll easily recognize me, but it looks like we'll need to do some introduction."
Oh? Not bad. I'm pretty sure I kept myself as inexpressive as possible.
"Really? That surely was unexpected." Miss Sherry surprisedly said, then clears her throat to abruptly change into the main topic. "Anyways, you might be in a state of confusion right now, but we'll tell you the reason we came here."
"Mhm," I nodded in agreement, then added. "It might be a long story so how about we change our place? It looks stiffening when it's crowded in a small room like this."
"Ah, good idea." Miss Sherry then added. "Though, I head from Luna that your body hurts. Are you sure you're okay?"
"That's right, Master. You don't need to force yourself."
"It's okay you guys. I can still feel it but it's mild compared to before. I can walk just fine."
My body has already been warmed-up, so it didn't really hurts compared earlier. So without further ado and thus I slowly left my bed and begins to follow the others. Just like I thought, it doesn't really hurt that much. But the others were still awfully anxious about it, so Luna took my arms as to support me. I tried to explain them that it's not really big of a deal, but Luna insisted on doing it.
After leaving my room and I immediately recognized the hallway. Just like I thought, I was in the infirmary of the Imperial Academy.
After a brief walking and some stairs, we've finally arrived at the place I'm mostly familiar with—the Student Council Room. The interior was large with pretty modest but formal designed furniture and a very long table that's stationed at the center.
Each of them sat into the available seat with the black-haired short woman and me sitting at the center—facing each other. Looking at her, she was frankly looking at me with a fierce look as if to firmly observe me.
"Shall we continue were we left off then?" Miss Sherry who didn't sat and instead stood beside the black short-haired woman informed so. And gesturing her with her palm, Miss Sherry introduced. "Sai, this person before you is the Student President of the Academy known as President Bellatrix."
"Eh?!?!"
My eyes fully widened in complete shock. She?! The president?! What happened?!
It's so far off the map compared to what I knew. Just what change so drastic that it changed into a level that even I didn't know anymore?!
No, don't get me wrong. There is of course the president in the game. But compared to this, in the game, the one acting as the president is the one known to be the strongest—Jett Midnight.
You might think Jett wasn't fitted to be the President but you're wrong. He had enough charisma and leadership that he even has a gang he controls; he was the strongest that's fitted at the top, and lastly, he has Vice to deal with the management and negotiations on him.
Jett passed all the requirements needed to become the President but why is this woman...
"Is there some kind of problem, Sai?" Bellatrix asked me with an eerie smile. "You look surprise. As if, you just found out something that didn't go on what you exactly remembered."
This woman...?! She perfectly explained what I just thought that I can't help but sweat heavily as I smile in yielding response.
"You're one scary woman, aren't you." I bluntly said.
"I heard that term frequently." Bellatrix said admittedly.
Looks like our nerve-wrecking conversation left the air with tense feeling. Especially for me, who was being stared by everyone as the subject of the issue.
"Ahem!" Suddenly, Miss Sherry clears her throat as to clear the tension and began to explain their visit towards me. "Sai Crimsonheart, you probably didn't know this, but you've caused quite an uproar from the Tournament."
After Miss Sherry's remark and the girls looked down dejectedly. Even I, narrowed my eyes a bit as I frustratingly remembered my fight with Davis.
"Ah, I forgot. It was a very impressive fight, Sai." Bellatrix mentioned. "It was a very close call, but you could've won if only you didn't become stiff midway of finishing Davis."
"Thanks, but I'd rather not hear about it." I calmly said so. "I don't know why that happened. It's got to be the worst time it had to happen... what bad luck I got."
"The rest of us also didn't understand it that's why we I did some investigation. "Rina-san with the Mini-Dryad sitting on her shoulder said so. "At first, I'd assumed it was the cause of the [Potion] you drank at the middle of the match in which I assumed took a toll of your body."
"I doubt it." I replied, crossing my arms. "The [Potion] was mostly made of magical herbs which uses magic to give me a specific buff for a minute. It doesn't have any backlash from my body just by drinking it."
"That's right," Bellatrix replied instead of Rina-san, and place a small container at the table. "After we placed you at the infirmary, we found this."
Bellatrix opened the container, and a yellow dart was stored inside it. Finally seeing it, I immediately understood everything.
"That yellow dart... I see." I nodded as to understand the situation. "It's them huh.
"The Cult, looks like they started their move." Bellatrix paused, gritting her teeth in frustration. "They sure got me really good..."
Oh? So, they know them too. That was surprising...
"Sai, I know you're going to be okay but just in case, you need to be extra careful." Miss Sherry spoke her concern towards me. "Them targeting you means that they considered you as a threat."
"...Is that so?"
Who would've thought that I—Sai Crimsonheart who was originally an underdog is now considered as a threat by a very large organization. Just thinking about it makes shiver in excitement.
