Chapter 40 - Equipments and Plans

"W-what's wrong you two...?"
Lily and Luna who were beside me is clinging into my arm and resting on my shoulders. It was supposed to be a blessed moment for me, but that was not the case at all. It should be if Seia wasn't in front of me blush as she looks at me surrounded by two beautiful maidens in worry. I can't help but force an awkward smile in front of Seia.
"....."
Now what I've look at it, Seia is wearing a forlorn look instead of an embarrassed reaction. Is something bothering her?
"I-Is something wrong Seia...?" I awkwardly asked.
"E-Eh? No, it's nothing..." Seia said and face downward.
It doesn't look that way to me though. Well, she probably has something she didn't want to say so I just let it be.
When I looked at the two. I was expecting an intimate expression of those two but instead, they are wearing a sad look on their face. I don't like seeing their face like that, so I remove both my arms to their cling and put it on their shoulders then pinch their cheeks after.
"Oww!!"
"Mas— Ow!!"
The two of them gritted in pain. I didn't pinch it too hard so they're probably overreacting.
"Is something bothering you two perhaps?" I asked.
Lily and Luna didn't answer. But after a moment, Luna started to talk.
"Please don't do that again Master..." Luna said timidly.
It really did hit them that much huh...
"Yeah. I'll be careful from now on..." I said in a low tone.
After I said that, the fatigue I accumulated since the morning and the comfortable feeling I'm with right now made my body weak and is asking me to sleep. My eyes are starting to close which I'm forcefully trying to open before I fall asleep.
"I'm sorry everyone but I need to sleep right now. It seems like the fatigue is accumulating for me so I'm going ahead first..." I told as my eyes are half-open.
I lay down and rest myself into the bed as my consciousness slowly fade away.
"Goodnight...."

(The next day - 5:00 AM)
When I woke-up, I immediately get out of my bed and did a big stretch. Looks like I slept good last night since I don't feel tired at all. After that, I did a 10-minute stretch then went for a quick shower.
I head downstairs expecting someone, but it looks like I'm the first to wake-up this early morning which the sun hasn't risen yet. After pondering what to do with my free time, I decided to head to Mr. Fjell and took the items I commissioned that I was supposed to get yesterday.
I jog my way to the capital and head to Mr. Fjell's place. When I went there, the lights we're already opened. I knock first before I enter.
"Good morning Mr. Fjell, I'm here to take my items" I said.
"Oh! early bird, aren't we? Come in. Here are the armors and weapons you commissioned"
Mr. Fjell brought me closer to the table which the items I commissioned are already placed there.
"Oh! As expected of Mr. Fjell, the items sure is in surplus indeed" I said in astonishment.
What can I say, it was exactly as I imagined. I can't help but be amazed to Mr. Fjell's masterful skills.
"It was hard you know. But quite fun, nonetheless" Mr. Fjell said. "Hey lad, if you find another unknown ore come find me here. I'll make you the best item you wanted"
I took the items into my 『Magic Pouch』, then gave Mr. Fjell the money for the commission cost.
"Yeah, expect more later I promised you. Well then, meet you again" I bid my farewell and left the place.
It was very dangerous to come to the capital alone, so I hurriedly went back to the villa after I left. it took me an hour for a round-trip so when I finally came back to the villa, the girls were already awake.
Luna, Lily and Seia were sitting on the living room looking restless. When they saw me, all of their tension in their face disappeared as they breathe a sigh of relief. Then, Lily stands-up and started to approach me.
"You...! didn't we just said last night not to be reckless? and where did you go just now?" Lily said worriedly. "Were losing our mind when we didn't find you on your room you know?
"Err... I went to the Capi—"
"Hah?!" Lily reacted in exasperation. "What the hell happened to being careful...?"
"M-master..." Luna displayed a very worried look on her face.
"L-look I'm sorry... But I have business with someone, so I went there..." I nervously explained.
In order for them to believe me... I guess they don't need a reason... but anyways, I place the Armors and weapons in the large table in the living room.
All of their restless expression disappeared and is turned into a surprise reaction.
"Sai... t-that is...?" Seia said with her eyes widened.
This armor is called 『Radiant Armor』, a white light armor that is an embodiment beauty and purity that would make a wearer look an angel aside from its decent defense. This armor set is composed of breastplate with beautiful gold design in its edge, a gauntlet strapped with a black strong leather added by white Clement metal with gold design at edge on the back of the hand, and lastly, a white greaves that reach up to the person's thighs. I also added a corset vanity to make it more beautiful.
I explained to the two about the 『Radiant Armor』, as for its stats:
• Grants 19 DEF to the user
• Grants the user +15% Critical Strike Chance
As for the Full Set Bonus: this armor gives +15% movement speed and improved acceleration.
"I-Isn't that kind of overkill..." Lily said dumbfoundedly.
"Right..." Luna said after Lily.
Well... It's the 4th current strongest armor in the game so I get what Lily is saying. Now for the weapons— I commissioned other two weapons which is called the 『Radiant Greatsword』, a two-handed white sword with gold design on its edge and the 『Radiant Bow』, a white bow with a gold design on its corner of the body. Each weapon has a status of:
•『Radiant Greatsword』 - deals 22 damage and 4% Crit Chance.
•『Radiant Bow』 - deals 14 damage and a 4% Crit Chance.
"I don't know what that Crit means but I can see that it's strong" Lily said.
"You all can guess who I'm giving this, right?"
"Eh?!" Lily shouted. "You're giving it?! isn't it too much?"
"Yeah, this 3-set of armor is also for you three" I said wryly.
All of them dropped their jaw dumbfoundedly. They really can't take a break huh.
You might think that I'm giving them too much. But as a gamer, gearing-up not only me but my teammates and slowly getting stronger is one of my romances. You can say that it's just for my self-satisfaction.
"T-that's impossible! I can't accept something this good..." Seia said anxiously.
"T-that's right! Master, aren't you giving us too much than you're giving yourself?" Luna said, feeling guilty.
"Don't worry everyone, I have mine, so you don't have to worry about it" I said in reassurance.
"But..."
"No buts"
The three looked at each other, then nodded after. They start wearing the armor and their respective weapons. I feel bad about Seia as there are no Gun that can be made using those materials.
"I'm sorry Seia, I can't make a gun with those materials" I said in a sorry tone.
"Mhm? you've already given me so much. Giving me more would make me feel guilty, you know?" Seia said.
"Haha, appreciate it"
I turned away while they change of course. After it was done, Luna called me.
"M-master, w-what do you think...?" Luna said shyly.
As I look at them, there's only a certain being I can think of. All of them looks like a Valkyrie. An Angel is another example I can think of. Them being clad in white armor made their maiden physique look more elegant and an eye candy to my eyes. As a gamer, seeing them look more beautiful now I...
"Ah... Goddesses..." I dropped down and made a praying pose.
"Eh?! W-what are you doing master?"
"I guess it was good huh" Lily said.
"Although it's kind to gather some attention..." Seia said and laughed awkwardly.
"Interesting things you got there Sai. Unfortunately, we have another important thing to discuss"
We turned our attention to the elf woman who came at us out of nowhere. It was Rina-san.
"Ah, of course" I stood up and sat on the sofa.
The three also followed me and went into the sofa. Seia sat beside me while Luna and Lily sat at each other. Rina-san on the other hand sat in the middle sofa.
After everyone went to their respective place thus started the meeting. First, I shared my side on what happened yesterday until the part where I managed to get out. Everyone was surprised on how I fought those 『Frontliners』 but that's not the problem here.
"Ah, before I escape them, I managed to steal this from their acting leader" I said and took out the item.
It was a fiery sword whose blade is molten hot. It was the 『Hellsing Blade』 I took from those 『Frontliners』.
"Th-that's...!! Isn't that the sword they are using back then?" Lily spoke in realization.
"Yeah, I manage to steal one of these from them. I'm glad they're stupid"
"Sai, about our next plan..." Rina-san informed.
"Ah, yes. Anyways, it's been a day, so they're probably have been informed already about Lily"
"Do you have any plans in mind?" Rina-san asked.
"Hm? I already knew how those higher-ups operates in this kind of things. They're probably going to attack us when our guard is at its weakest. That's why I have a proposal"
"Continue" Rina-san leaned forward.
"Reverse Psychology. We just continue our daily life attending academy and have them think were bunch of reckless beings letting their guard down. As for the rest, I'll take care of it"
"Eh? You alone? Isn't that dangerous?" Lily said in a worried tone.
"Of course, I would need your help. Even I can't take that much 『Frontliners』 all by myself"
"Yeah, please let me help also. I can't forgive them from doing that to my father"
Lily looked down and clenched his jaw in anger. Rina-san is also looking down with a tight lip. I can't help but look at them in worry. Same with Luna and Seia who was looking worried also.
"Yeah" I answered. "Now, is there anyone who want to say something?"
We continued our meeting for our countermeasure against nobles of the elven kingdom. In summary, we will go with my plan while also adding some contingency plan if something happened we didn't anticipated. Rina-san said that she will operate on the sidelines, Though, she didn't tell us what she was planning. I can see her thirst for vengeance as she displayed such scary expression.
The meeting ended without much of a problem. I took a quick shower since I jog myself to the capital and went to my room after. While I lie on the bed pondering about my next move, someone knocked, and a blonde half-elf girl gently opened the door. It was Lily.
"Oh Lily, What's wrong?" I asked.
Lily didn't respond and starts to approach me. After a while of silence, Lily finally opened her lips.
"Sai, I have a request to ask you. I know it's very selfish of me since you've given us too much than we deserve. It was thanks to you that I'm still alive right now and is living a very happy life. But, as long as those rotten nobles don't pay to their sins, the rage I'm feeling right now won't fade either"
Lily continued to talk while looking down and is clenching her fist in anxiety. So it comes to this huh...
"So that I will give justice to my father whom they didn't gave mercy until his last breath. Sai! I want to become stronger!" Lily declared and tights her lips waiting for my response.
To be honest, I don't want Lily to use her vengeance as her reason to become strong. She calls it justice but what she will do won't be considered one.
Now what to do.....
