Caleb feels so motivated today. And the feelings he feels today can be seen clearly on his glowing and smiling face. His forest green eyes look so lively while his charming smile can easily melt any woman's heart with his pointed nose, circular face shape, plump and average mouth with sparkling and wide eyes that looked like a Greek god— honestly had been his killer symbol to attacking woman hearts. His chestnut brown hair with the undercut and combed perfectly looks dazzling under the sun. He hoped today will be his lucky day as he planned to make her his mate by marking her.
Every detail of what he wants to do for today has been discussed with his wolf —Ash, who was so excited to find their mate today. Ever since that night, when they left Damien's place, they have been expressing their feelings and their way of strategies for finding her today. Caleb also told his father about it earlier and made him call the headmaster of CU College— Dean Rasmussen on his behalf before making his way to the college. He even mentioned the same thing to his three best friends about his potential mates that he was about to find out at CU College.
Jacob, Skylar and Theo will personally escort Caleb on his quest to find her. As everything has been decided, they will be arrived at the CU by early noon so they all can have much time to look for her. Dean Rasmussen also wants to meet him and Jacob personally to discuss Blake Scholarship. They all looked so handsome in their casual wear. Everyone looks like college students in their chinos pants and casual long—sleeve shirts were left unbuttoned till second with roll cuffs and flats, basically making them the centre of attention when they walked along the hallway towards Dean Rasmussen's office.
They get greeted by Dean Rasmussen who immediately permitted them to scrutinize the area but keeps it low because just by making an appearance there, they already made a commotion with the girl's students. Caleb made his way out first from Dean Rasmussen's office with Theo, Skylar and Jacob walking behind him. But Dean Rasmussen holds Jacob in his office and urges Caleb, Theo and Skylar to do their things.
"I just want to talk about the scholarship with him. I guess you'll be busy looking for her, right? So I'll talk with Jacob, and I will inform you if there is something I need from you after..." Caleb looked towards Jacob, who slightly nods at him. 'Keep your mind link open as I will inform you when I meet her, so all of you can meet your future Luna and queen' Jacob drew a line of smiles with Caleb's words before answering him with a mind link 'best of luck! I'll meet you later
Spreading out into three, Skylar, Theo and Caleb go separate ways. Theo and Skylar will guard the area against any disturbance as the Rouges become bolder lately and keep attacking humans even in daylight, having been concerned for the werewolf community as a whole. The Rouges might know that the future King Alpha is in the area and might plan to ambush them. So Theo and Skylar will blend in as one student while Caleb tries to find his mate. The CU area is quite big for him to look alone.
'I can't smell anything here...' Ash continued searching using his sense after taking over Caleb's body. From the main building, until they approached the field area —Ash failed to locate her. "Let me find her. And if I also fail to locate her, perhaps she's not come from here. We can try to speak with Jacob's sister, Hailey —she might know who's been attending the party that night and where they came from because all of them look like a bunch of drunken students that night" Caleb finally takes control of his body.
He almost lost hope when they were in the last building. He has been mind—linking the others about his current situation and asking them to meet him at the parking area soon. He also minds—linking Jacob in private and asking him about his sister, Hailey. As he passes the hallway to the next building, he finally smells the scent he was looking for. Ash rejoices from inside and urges Caleb to walk fast as they might lose her back again, like at Damien's place previously.
He starts to follow the scent. Soon after turning to the next corner, he saw her. She just finished closing her locker and walked straight towards the restroom area — according to the sign above her that was stuck on the wall. Waiting for the right moment as she passes another corner quickly, Caleb makes his move. He drag her small figure into the man's restroom and closed the last cubicle tightly. Her scent made him addicted as he sniff from the back of her neck to her earlobe and collarbone before stopping a moment on her neck—the place where he'll mark her after.
She keeps pushing Caleb aside and wiggling inside his embrace which somehow makes him annoyed. "Stop wiggling now! Or I swear I will take you here" Caleb smirked when she stops move instantly after his warning.
Caleb moved off her hoodie cap and inhaled her aromatic scents —over again and again. He then let out a small growl after Ash wants to appear in front of her too "mine! Grr... mine!" he snaps and glares at her when she begins to push him away again. Her petite figure looks adorable when she moves and tries kicking Caleb on his crotch. Looking at her pinkish and small lips made Caleb almost lose control.
Ash also keeps on bugging him and wants to appear too, making Caleb feel more annoyed with his wolf 'stop disturbing! Or I lock you in there... give me time to calm her first before you take over and introduce yourself!' said Caleb with his angry thought. Looking at her little face and seeing her biting her lips as turns him on drastically. "Who are you?"
He tried not to lose his focus— knowing her better by asking her some basic questions. The way she bit her lips like that made Caleb want to kiss her deeply. Just when she was about to answer, Caleb immediately claimed her lips and deepened his kiss, not letting her move by pushing her further toward the brick wall and pressing his muscular body more on her. He only let her lips go when the both of them were almost out of oxygen. "Let go of me!"
Her voice is a bit shaking as she tries to control her breathing from Caleb's assault just now. She wants to escape but Caleb is well prepared for her move and he cages her in his tight embrace. "What is that you want, mister?" Caleb was taken aback when she called him mister. He's not that old, did he? She struggles a lot, so Caleb untightens his hug, pushes her hair aside and tucks it to her ear so he can see her more clearly. She looked surprised to see him likewise Caleb to is also looked confused when her big ocean—blue eyes met his eyes. Her eyes look so familiar to him. He knew those eyes... but can't remember to whom they may belong. But for sure, he knew that look. Those eyes... who is she?
But reality struck him hard when he realized she was human and not the she-wolf he and Ash thought she is. 'Dammit!' but her exotic scent smells like his mate. Caleb begins to eye her hard. He has been kissing her like a crazy madman and praying to the moon goddess— thank her for letting him meet her, for what? She is human! Victoria is worth more than her! "You are human! But why your scent smells, like our mate?" he tries to hide his disappointment but can't help it. From the way she looks at him, Caleb knows his face and voice tone already made it clear to her. But why she doesn't get scared?
"I shouldn't be so overreacting earlier... who are you?" with his confused look, voice and mind —he demands her to give him an answer. Caleb can't accept the answer when she told him that she was working at the lab and developed a scent using natural ingredients where maybe she might accidentally use an oil scent similar to their mate which is why they were attracted to her. Not only does he smell her, but Ash —his wolf also can smelt her scent. Both of them can't make the same mistakes. Maybe she is from the Witches' clans? 'But I don't sense any magic or power from her' replied Ash with his irritated tone.
"I don't believe it!" Ash took over Caleb's body. He looks deep into her big ocean—blue eyes. She seems not lied to them both. 'Why does she keep avoiding my eyes? She's kept something secret from us, Caleb! I almost can feel something from her... she is different from any humans I've met before!' Caleb sighed.
"Reject me!" Ash almost wants to tear her apart when she mutters the words. Caleb has to fight hard with his wolf trying to calm him down. If they killed her, they might kill their mates just because they can't control their anger. Though she's confusing them with her scent, there is no F way she's not their mate— He and Ash can't ever be wrong about that! 'Don't do it, Caleb! I swear if you do it, I'll tear this building down!!'
That's it! She got the nerve to provoke a male werewolf, especially an Alpha wolf like him. This woman is digging her own grave now. "What will make you feel when you reject someone or get rejected just because of an awful misunderstanding, huh? Do I look stupid to you? Or do you think this is just a joke... I've been patient enough to hear your stupid talks already!" Caleb's lips trembled hard from anger that had now overtaken his reasoning and belief.
His arm immediately made its move and landed on her pale white skin neck. He wants to strangle her alive. How dare she ask him to reject her? She doesn't know how hard his life has been through looking for her everywhere. He admits to falling to Victoria even though she is not his mate and put up the relationship based on s*x. But that's only for his sake and his wolf's, so they can keep their sanity by accepting Victoria into their life.
Caleb's human side can tolerate his need by keeping himself busy with work and packing jobs helping his father run the entire clan here and there. But Ash—his wolf can't. He needed to release his need and desire to someone. Ash is an older wolf, much older than his father's wolf. Caleb also wonders why his so addicted to having much s*x when they did not even have a mate. Ash once said that he needs a full release when he does an intimate relationship, so he can feel younger and wiser as he ages. Ash never feels unsatisfied as Caleb always keeps him borrowing his body to get laid with another woman, especially with Victoria, and that is why Caleb is known for his womanizer behaviour alongside Theo and Skylar.
"At least you try and see if it affects you both! I'm not an expert when it's come to relationships. But from what I know and read, a male werewolf can reject their mates if he wants to..." Caleb sneers but doesn't say anything. What she said makes sense. But he wouldn't do it. No way!
"I'm not your mate because we don't share the bond. If we are mates as we are supposed to be, we must share the mate bond even though I'm only a human. The feeling is always there, but we don't have any bond at all" her eyes look beautiful and enchanting to Caleb. Her pinkish mouth looks so alluring and inviting. He wants to feel those soft lips back again. There was something with her eyes which made him want to bury himself inside her again and again and let her know how much she had affected him. Caleb swallows hard. "even if you kiss me thousand times, I can't feel the spark at all, though you are good at it," she said with her crimson red cheek that looked exquisite and made her pale white skin look alive and colour.
Caleb looks at her with mix feeling inside. She is far more beautiful than Victoria or any other woman he had before. She might look skinny, but her beauty is undeniable. Is just a shame she's not their mate. Maybe she is right. He has been to CU a couple of times but can't smell or sense her before. She even put on an oversized hoodie to cover her young— beautiful face from everyone, making her look secretive and mysterious. Yet she was still not their mate.
Caleb's heartaches, not because he felt the bond burned but because he has to let her go just like that. He bit his lips from inside harder until he tastes blood. He wants to draw her small beautiful face inside his heart and mind, so he'll never forget her. 'What is your think you're doing Caleb? Don't reject her just yet. She might not come on her age and that's why we can't feel her bond with us right now!' Ash chirped inside Caleb's mind.
Ash got the point. But she is a college student, it's impossible for her not to come to her age already. Normally, a college student's age is between 19 years old and up above. Only if she is Eden, Jacob's little sister who manages to go to college at the age of 14— Caleb will believe what his wolf Ash said one hundred per cent. But the young girl in front of them now is not Eden. And Caleb doesn't have any clue of what Eden looks like now or which faculty or department she studies because his father is the only one who got access to meet her apart from his mother too.
If she is Eden, per se, she must already get her allergy attack right now because Eden is allergic to fur and dust. That is also why he doesn't meet her again at their packhouse or attend any celebration soon after her 3rd birthday party. But her eyes somehow made Caleb remember Eden suddenly. Yeah, Eden is a bright girl from his pack. Both his parents love her and adore her so much. He also adores Eden when she's still a toddler.
Eden becomes the pride and proud of Silver Crescent packs. At a such young age, she's living hard with her health and allergy condition even though her family was not poor at all. Her family is a Beta. Both her parents are specialist doctors in their packs. His brother Jacob is a future Beta and one tough warrior of the Silver Crescent pack. Even her older sister Hailey is also a warrior of Silver Crescent.
"What are you thinking about? You should reject me before is too late. Your mates are out there somewhere... is just a matter of time before you'll meet her eventually. Who knows with this coming full moon festival, you might find her!" 'She knows too much about our existence and how our lives are connected. You shouldn't reject her Caleb! She's a special human if she knows about our existence and our way of our living!' Caleb refuses to hear Ash no more, so he shoves his wolf out of his mind link. He will deal with him later.
Caleb will not ruin her life like Victoria or another woman they had been sleeping with before. She looks pure and innocent, and Caleb will not let Ash get what he wants again. Not this time. This time he wants to protect this pure soul from his evil wolves. His wolf is a goddamn playboy. Caleb always does what his wolf says and desires, even using Caleb's body to full fill his lust.
"I, Caleb Zachary Blake, will reject you to be my mate!" he can see her discomfort but can't read what's inside her mind right now. If she was his mate she must feel heartache and their bond links should burn both of them from the inside. Although his pain is not hurt him much, he swears on the moon goddess name— his heart did feel like it was stabbed over and over again, with his skin feeling warm like he had a fever. Deep inside his heart, he hopes she doesn't know how to answer his rejection. But she was indeed a wise young woman.
"I accept your rejection" Caleb can't take it anymore. He kicks the cubicle door harder and lets's fall over the restroom room floor. He saw her flinch at his action with her eyes closed slightly. Caleb looks at her for the last time before storming out and leaving her alone there. Caleb meets with Jacob, Theo and Skylar at the parking lot, where Hailey is also present there.
"Why do you want to see me?" Caleb just shakes his head. Saying he just wants to meet with his pack members there because he knew that she was studying there. After all, he is their future Alpha and King, of course, he will summon anyone of them no matter where or what they must obey him.
"Let's just go, home guys! I and Ash have searched all the places but don't find her at all. Maybe she's not from CU! And maybe the prophecy is right. My destiny is somehow to get intertwined alongside the heir of the other too... I just hope the moon goddess doesn't make mistakes by putting my destiny with them" Jacob, Theo and Skylar looked at each other with disappointment. They just let out a small sigh and looked at Caleb's gloomy face.
"Just trust her, okay? The moon goddess knows what she is doing. Destiny had already been written thousand years ago, long before all of us were born yet. The other heir also suffered the same, Caleb. They live long before you do and they needed their mates way more than you do. You should feel lucky to wait 25 years and not 50 or 100 years... I know the moon goddess will give the best to all of you. She only just wants to test you a bit, so you can learn how to be patient" Caleb nodded slowly.
What Jacob said is true. Compare to the other heir, he's the youngest and there is not going to wait much longer now. The full moon festival is only five more months away and he can wait for that too. He only needs to keep Ash from bothering him with his s*x demand. And he also must avoid Victoria for a while if he wants to see his mates this coming full moon festival.
Caleb let out a big sigh. He was standing outside his bedroom balcony looking at the sunset ahead of him. He has everything, but his life is so lonely and boring without a mate by his side. His lips drew a smile when his mind suddenly think about the young lady he meet at CU a few days ago. He blamed himself because he forgot to ask her name. "Damn! I should be asking her name first before walking out that day...argh!"
