"Okay, I have to ask. Are your eyes really red or are you just wearing red contacts? " I ask. After our little conversation in the car, Aiden calmed down pretty effectively. It was hard to break the kiss but it needed to be done. So after one more peck of his soft lips, I pulled away and started the car to my favorite place, The Duke's Table.
I opened the door for him when we pulled up to the restaurant and he gave me a cute little smile before slipping his hand in mine. And that little act gave me butterflies, but I chose to tuck that information away for a rainy day.
Aiden's eyes were wide from the moment we entered, looking around taking everything in. It wasn't one of the fanciest restaurants but it was still very beautiful. We took a table nearest to the large floor-to-ceiling windows because his eyes were fixated on the view outside and mine were fixated on the view inside, on him.
