I should have followed my intuition telling me to come up with excuses not to come into the office today instead of sitting in Sandra's office room and listening to a lecture from my manager, who repeatedly pointed at the piles of paperwork proposals she called a 'national failure'.
"Do you understand where you went wrong now?"
"I still don't know where I went wrong, so can I get out of this room right now and fix all the proposals you rejected? I'm really sleepy."
I covered my wide open mouth with my hand before I rubbed my eyes that had beckoned me to sleep on my superior's sofa which looked so tempting to me.
"Wow, this woman, I really can't believe it!" shouted my manager, as she turned her head away from me for a moment before she shot me an annoyed look which I responded by opening my mouth wide, yawning again. "Should I repeat my explanation regarding the location of all the mistakes you have made in the proposal document you gave me earlier?"
